Anderson Pov

The death toll is saddening.

Those that have been captured, is saddening.

Steven revealed to me that the evacuation plan to the Scared Tree has been incorporated into the minds of every fairy, from the day they could fully understand, and the Watcher was placed to watch over The Scared Tree and was the only one who had the power to open the portal to it.

"Many assumed my many greats grandfather King Trion could see into the future." He tells me.
"Before he passed he made sure this place was fully finished. Feared that war will come when he was not around."

"What now? What are you going to do about the child?" He says referring to a sleeping Aiden on the couch.

"Not sure. The Elementress was suppose to come to us and we were to get her on our side. Get rid of the hunters and that forsaken establishment. But here we are." I shrug.
"For the first time, I have nothing planned."

"Did you expect your adviser to betray you?" I ask him, and he frowns.

"No. But I assume he did not tell them about the portal, seeing as we were able to evacuate many before they arrived at location."

"How is Harley?"

"His pulse is still weak. They're keeping a close eye on him. If Roma was here she would of been able to heal him." I hum in understanding. Roma was one of the few healing fairies with the gift of healing.

Though some fairies are called healers, because thy work in the medical field, they did not have the power of healing.

In Harley's case, to have the power of complete mental control, was something one would see as a great asset. Sadly with great power, comes its cons.

Every time he used his power, it will drain him of your strength, and seeing the amount of persons he used it on today and the timeframe, he's lucky to be alive.

"Uncle Andy?" I hear Aiden whisper. He slowly walks over to me, sleep still in his eyes. I pick him up, setting him on my lap.

"Aiden this is my friend, Steven."

"Nice to meet you." He says giving him a big smile.

"Nice to meet you too." He taps his cheek. Making him giggle.

"Your majesty Harley is waking up." Fredrick says coming in the house, the little girl, who we have come to know as Mary following close behind.

When we asked her how old she is, she placed up three fingers. She wouldn't speak to anyone else but Aiden, and cries whenever Fredrick leaves the room.

Steven quickly gets up, excusing himself, rushing out the door.
Fredrick takes his seat, placing Mary in his lap.

"Freddy, are the bad guys gone now?"

"Yes little Guy. All gone." He says ruffling his hair.

"Aiden why don't you and Mary go play over there, let me and Fred talk. Okay?"

"Okay." Placing him down, he takes Mary's hand and leads her over to the play area.

"How many of our men died?"

"Lost count. Some out of fear are now working for the bastards." He mutters lowly in anger.
"This was not apart of the plan."

"Seems while we were planning they were to. Trust no one. I'll have to keep Aiden close to me at all times." I glance over to him, as he plays with Mary. He looks to me, giving me a big smile, before going back to his toys.

"I heard the King's close adviser betrayed him. That's how they knew where we would be heading."

"Hmm. We'll have to regroup and plan what we're doing now. With half an army on our side, we won't be able to go up against them."

"What are you implying?"

"That organisation needs to be destroyed, or many more of us will die." I tell him.

"The Elementress will never work with us. Far less your sister after all you've done. They'll kill you earlier than planned."

"Never say never Fredrick. Plus... I think no one will be able to deny those blue puppy eyes."

"Still using the kid as bait?" He says shaking his head.

"I can't turn back time. We need that organization gone."

Darcell Pov

"Darrrcell. So nice to see you again." Bernard says as I enter his office. Evon standing next to him.

"Did you get them?"

"Most of them, but that Fairy king of yours got away with them, they entered some portal type thing. Do you know anything about that, adviser? Where did they disappear to?" I question the man. I look at him, and his eyes keep shaking.

"Umm..o-only the king knows exactly where they are." Marcus, Steven's head adviser said to him.

"Marcus, Marcus Marcus." Bernard leans back in his chair.

Evon runs to him, wrapping his hand tightly around his neck slamming him into the wall.

"You told them we were coming, didn't you?"

"I betrayed my King, but it was a mistake. One I will gladly die for." He confidently says.

"Your loyalty to your king, I commend you. Sadly indeed it is something to die for." Bernard says.
"Take him to the lab." Evon drags him out the room by his hair. His screams filling the hallway.

"The Elementress you said she controls the weather and all elements." I smile wickedly.

"Yes." He hums, thinking.

Bernard is the leader of the Hunters Clan. A secret organisation, hidden underground in Darlington.

Bernard is also human, and so are many others who are here as well.

Why would I work with human you ask? Why would anyone work with the enemy.

Power.

He promised to destroy that El Queen in exchange for the location of the elementress.

I am still not sure fully of his plan, but I don't care. Once he kept his word.

I want good ole Marianna to feel what it's like to lose everything.

Working with Anderson, was a part of his plan as well as with Gastron. They both had connections to me finding her for him. But seeing as they are no longer relevant, we have to find another route, and so we have.

"And what about lover boy?" He asks, his attention on me again.
"Is he keeping his end of the bargain?"

I smile.
"Yes."
