"It's been twenty hours, I've tried to find her in Korea with all my power, she's not in the country. I don't know what am I supposed to do Yoongi," Jimin shouted clutching his head in frustration.

"Mrs Lee said that she left before I woke up. I wish I didn't fall asleep," he said sighing in disappointment.

"For right now, I guess you need to rest Jimin," Yoongi advised because he was in a terrible condition. He didn't sleep for the entire day, lost his appetite, didn't go to the office but only kept running around different places trying to find Ara.

"Do you think I'll be able to sleep? She's not in front of my eyes for the past twenty hours and you want me to sleep?" He yelled in anger.

Yoongi pressed his lips into a thin line and nodded agreeing to Jimin.

"Why do you even care about that woman?" Jimin's mom questioned in a cold tone.

"Because she's my wife," Jimin growled as Yoongi gripped his arm asking him to calm down.

"I have no interest in Jia, please know that mom," he cleared. His mom picked up her bag and walked towards the door to leave.

"You didn't kill her mother, you were only present there, she committed suicide. Ara isn't your responsibility, just live your life Jimin," his mom said coldly.

"Ara is my life," he said resting on the sofa and blankly glared at the ceiling.

Jia wanted Jimin back in her life and therefore, tried her best to convince his mom but nothing worked. With a bang, Jimin's mom shut the door and left his house.

-

"Does she have any friends who she could be with?" Yoongi asked.

"She was always an introvert besides, I know her friends, she'll never be with Jungkook," Jimin said pondering over Ara's life, thinking who else could she be close with besides Jia and himself.

"Why would you get jealous of Jungkook when you know he's dating someone?" Yoongi asked chuckling.

"I just don't like Jungkook around her," Jimin said as Yoongi smiled realising his love for Ara.

"Her resume had an address of a library," Yoongi said thinking hard.

"I met Mrs Bakes, she's in her 40s, I don't think Ara would be with her but maybe I should call her," Jimin said fishing his phone out from his pocket.

-

"Jimin, let me come with you," Yoongi insisted as Jimin packed a few stuff for himself in a hurry and asked Yoongi to book an immediate ticket to Seattle.

"I know Ara won't listen to me, I made her sign a contract of a six-month marriage because I knew Jia would try to create misunderstandings and with the help of that, I'll get Ara back to me without much argument and after sorting everything, I'll win her back," Jimin thought to himself while packing his stuff.

He grabbed his phone and was about to leave when his eyes fell on a few crumpled papers lying next to Ara's drawer.

At first, he was about to ignore but later, he picked them up. As he straightened them, he realized that it was the other contract he had given where he mentioned Ara submitting herself to him which she didn't return.

In the end, he saw she had signed it.

"She signed them which meant she trusted me, she wanted me too," Jimin mumbled as his eyes widened.

He hurried to the car as he wanted to meet Ara as soon as he could.

"Don't be cold to her, she doesn't deserve it," Yoongi advised. Jimin lowered his gaze.

"I'm taking my driver with me and don't worry, I'll be back in a day. Wait here and look after the company," Jimin said and within a few minutes, he left home.

Yoongi dropped him at the airport. As he lost Jimin off his sight, he started to check on the security camera of Jimin's office.

He found the clip where Jia suddenly pulled Jimin towards her because she saw Ara getting in. He knew this would clear everything.

He quickly sent the clip to Mrs Bakes number since Ara's phone was switched off.

-

I didn't talk to Jimin before leaving, he was asleep on the couch, he looked stressed maybe because he drank a lot last night. I didn't answer much to Mrs Lee and left home.

After travelling for hours altogether, I slept in the hotel whereas Mrs Bakes had to go to the public library to get some rare books that she wanted to place at her library.

As I lay down on the soft mattress, the image of Jimin hovering over me, letting me fall asleep in his arms came to my mind.

A tear escaped my eye as I could feel my emotions getting out of my control.

"I'm falling for him, every part of my body has memories of his touches," I thought as my inner goddess gave me a sympathetic smile.

I decided that I'll be leaving the company as I reach Korea and stay with Jimin only till the contract existed. I'll ask Mrs Bakes to let me work with her again.

I covered my face with the blanket wiping my tears and slowly, fell asleep.

There weren't any feelings of love from his side and that was breaking my heart. All I had in mind was just endless sadness and overthinking.

-

A few hours later, I heard Mrs Bakes continuously bang the door and call my name which made me wake up.

I somehow managed to get out of bed and opened the door wide.

"Mrs Bakes, you had an extra key, why would you bang the door so hard?" I whined half-asleep.

"I wanted to wake you up, you need to look at this honey," she said handing me her phone.

The minute I looked at the clip, I froze.

"He isn't as bad as you think," Mrs Bakes said.

I replayed the video as it showed my shadow approaching his cabin and Jia pulling him closer suddenly which meant that she did it purposely.

I returned the phone to Mrs Bakes lowering my gaze, thinking about the entire situation again. He tried to convince me that it wasn't his fault, he was drunk, he was in pain but still, I slapped him.

"The day I met him for the first time, I knew he was serious about you. The way he was looking at you was different and trust me on this, I'm on my fourth husband," Mrs Bakes said making me chuckle.

"Tell him what you feel, let him know that he's important to you," Mrs Bakes advised holding me by my shoulders.

She pulled me into a hug.

"I also told him about our address and--," Mrs Bakes was saying something but all of a sudden, a sharp horn made me flinch as we pulled apart.

"Address?" I asked beaming at Mrs Bakes but once again, I heard someone honking.

The sound of the bike was coming from downstairs. I walked towards the window and looked outside.

My eyes widened as I saw Jimin riding a black Ducati wearing a thin black shirt with pants. He had his shades on, a few buttons of his shirt open, his tall and trim physique accentuated. His striking collar bones could be seen, he has this unique charisma that was capturing everyone's attention.

I'd never seen him riding a bike before but today, I couldn't take my eyes off him.

"Your kids are going to look bomb," Mrs Bakes said as she leaned on my shoulder.

"Kids?" I whispered in confusion.

"You-," I shuttered still not being able to take my gaze off him.

"Yeah, I gave him the address," she said patting my head.

"He's a good man, he didn't do anything wrong, Ara. Talk to him and sort your misunderstandings," Mrs Bakes said as I lowered my lashes.

As Jimin got off his bike and entered the hotel, a chill ran down my spine. My mouth went dry, just a glance at him caused me to frantically lower my head and regret my decision of coming to Seattle instead of trusting him.

A minute later, I heard the doorbell. The sound of it made my heart race, I knew it was Jimin.

"Go on, open the door," Mrs Bakes said excitedly as she gently pushed me towards the door.
