Chapter 3: The Link
That night I didn't intend to frighten her. I just couldn't take it. Seeing her in this tavern when she can accomplish so much, and that made my heart grow more than I could ever know. "You have five minutes," I said to her. She nodded and left. I saw a faint tear run down her cheek. It broke my heart.
I waited for her, and time ticked by like a fly buzzing in the wind. I was growing frustrated, and I couldn't wait anymore. I needed her, I craved her. She must be with me, or I will go ballistic. It wouldn't be good for my pack. It would cause chaos to storm.
As I was standing up, I heard a crash. Hurrying as fast as I could, I rush towards her room. The window was shattered and she was gone.
"Rosalinde! Where are you?" I yelled very clearly and loudly out in the raging snow storm. I see faint foot prints in the snow, and decide to follow them.
"She is literally going to be the death of me one day." I mumble to myself. What a pain, even though my instinct is to find her and hold her. I don't think I have met a girl like her before, but she is more than a girl. She is going to be above all of them.
They lead me to a small tree with a stone that had looked lime it was not properly carved.
She was lying there, unconscious from the bitterly cold storm. I thought about leaving her there, just to teach her something thing, but as I grew closer, I noticed on the Stone was "HERE LIES CHRISTOPHER CALIGOR, BELOVED FATHER." And at that moment, I picked her up and carried her back to the tavern. That was the only place we could go for now. Seeing her laying there triggered a part of me that I didn't know could exist, and it was admiration for someone who lost the only person they could count on. It must've been her father because that's the first place she went to.
I saw the tavern ahead and decided to stay with her. I couldn't trust her on her own because I know she would leave me, even though she probably doesn't understand this whole situation. I laid her down on her bed, and pulled some blankets over her, trying to make her warm again. Looking at those lips made me lean closer than I realized. My lips touched hers so gently. Bite her, my internal instinct tells me. It's illegal in this country unless she approves it. I have the strong erg to make her mine but for now it will have to wait.
Tomorrow we will travel on horse back and go to my home, in Corden. The palace of wolves, and where we will love happily, I hope. I hope she likes it there. She'll have everything. Clothes, jewels, food, maids, and maybe I'll even show her my library and the history of my kind, Grey Moguls. The royal breed of wolves, and the rarest type of wolf. Our fur color is the purest white.
I wonder what she will think of me...why am I soft hearted all of the sudden? What has become of you, Milo?

HEY GUYS, I KNOW I HAVEN'T MADE MUCH PROGRESS, BUT I WANT TO TAKE IT SLOW SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST STORY. I DECIDED TO START THIS BECAUSE I ENJOY ROMANCE AND FICTION BOOKS. AND I KNOW THIS IS MY FIRST COMMENT TO EVERYONE BUT I HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYS ROSALINDE'S AND MILO'S JOURNEY TO RESTORING THE LOVE THAT DESTROYED THEM.
P.S. I WILL BE ADDING AT LEAST ONE OR TWO CHAPTERS A WEEK NOW ❤
