Chapter One - "Found you... And Found You Again."
The little soul sat huddled in the corner, watching as the other children's souls suffered through their eternal torture. The clown man had gone out again, probably to bring another spirit of a child... What he normally did.
The soul sighed, looking down, as their knees were pulled close to their chest, their arms wrapped around their shins.
They didn't know how they got there, they didn't even remember showing up. They just.. woke up here one day. That's how they met the clown man. They didn't know who he was before, and despite who knows how much time had passed, they didn't know his name. The children never spoke about him, never said his name.
The children rarely even talked among themselves. Usually, the only time they ever used their voices was when they were screaming from the agonizing pain caused by the clown.
That was one thing the spirit was grateful for.. The clown man didn't know they existed.
They took a deep breath, trying to remember what happened, or who they were before they ended up here. They remembered it vaguely..
They'd just turned 21, maybe around, a month before all this. Their best friend had a bit to drink and got a little tipsy, so they drive their best friend home. All they remember after that was flopping onto a bed somewhere, and then they woke up here.
It was odd. They were single, no kids, no roommates, anything. They lived completely by themselves.
As the spirit was lost in thought, they heard manic laughter, telling them the clown man was back.
The other children desperately tried to find places to snake their way inside, hoping the clown man couldn't get them, so that they wouldn't have to go through that torture once more.
However, the clown man, upon returning, collected many of them within a minute, the laughter continuing as he teased and pestered the spirits.
They just continued sitting in their corner, their eyes closed as they tried to relax. Just then, the laughter came to a halt.
The spirit, curious, opened their eyes and saw the clown man staring at them. They blinked and gulped hard, knowing they'd probably be tortured with the rest.
The clown man stood, looking puzzled, at the spirit. This spirit was different. It was an adult.
He rubbed his head as he question how they got there, considering he never killed adults(unless necessary, and even then, he didn't take their spirits with them).
He let off a light shrug, grabbing the spirit and cackling once more, "Oh, well! Another toy to torture!"
His face twisted into an insane grin, as his cackling only got louder. He had to have been insane, the smile and the laugh said it all.
If they had a heart, it would've dropped straight out their ass as they saw the clown man grab their arm and pull them with him.
'No...! No no no no no no..!' They thought as they were dragged off, the clown man squeezing their arm hard, and not letting go.
They tried to wriggle and squirm their way out of his grip, making any attempt to escape the cruel fate that would greet them very soon.
The clown man only chuckled in amusement as the spirit tried to help themselves. It drove him crazy thinking about their soul being in constant torture, what their screams would sound like.
The spirit only got grossed out uncomfortable by this, making one last attempt before they were thrown, landing against the mary-go-round with a whimper and a crash.
They opened their eyes, looking up at the clown man. Somehow, everything was different here. Spirits couldn't phase through things, or anything you'd expect them to, they were like humans. They were solid, they made impacts. The only difference, they couldn't die, or pass out from pain or anything. The clown man could torture them all he wanted and nothing would ever happen!
The spirit scrambled to their feet, legs pounding against the ground as they started running away, hoping to find a hiding place. They looked back to see the clown chasing after them, his long, claw-like fingers reaching out for them.
They quickened their pace as they frantically ran around, desperately searching for a hiding place. In the heat of the moment, knowing that they had very little time before they were back within the clown's view, dove behind a little food cart hidden away. There, they tried to calm their breathing and heart rate so they wouldn't get caught.
They heard the raspy voice of the male singing 'Pop, Goes the Weasle' as he searched around for them, growing closer and closer.
They gasped, holding their breath, hoping he'd overlook them and look somewhere else.
As the voice started to get quieter and further away, Y/N released the breath they were holding, regaining their breath and leaning back in the corner, closing their eyes as they started to calm down slightly.
The next thing they know, they feel the tap of something on their shoulder. It felt firm, very firm against their shoulder, but its size wasn't very big. It was a small, stick-like object.
Y/N opened their eyes and looked around, seeing nothing. They kept glancing around, growing more paranoid with every passing minute.
They felt another tap on their shoulder and they froze as they heard heavy breathing, hot breath on their ear.
A quiet, raspy laugh escaped the clown man's mouth as he spoke, enunciating his words, his voice taking a creepy, almost predatory sounding tone.
"Found you.. And found you again.."
