you said my name! (all chapters combined into one)

Lucy's POV

"Don't quit your day job buddy!" I winked at the stupid teenage boy with trashy underwear on his head.
I followed my mom away from the Ice Cream store. She muttered curse words, clutching her pepper spray and tazer.

Rolling my eyes, I ran past her and jumped into our family's blue mini-van.

"Please Hun, don't talk to strange people like that." My mom begged, buckling me into my car seat.

I nodded, "I'll avoid people like that." I lied smoothly, grinning innocently.

I wanted to have friends like that when I grow up!

She nodded, shutting the door and walking around the car to the drivers seat.

While she drove, I continued licking my red lolly-pop which I had to beg for.

Staring out the window, my eyes started to grow heavy. Eventually, I felt my chin drop to my chest, dropping my lolly onto the floor.

"Lucy." I felt someone shake my shoulders lightly. Turning away, I stuck out my bottom lip letting out a whine.

"Come on Luce." I heard the voice again. Finally, I opened my heavy eyelids, only to find my older brother.

"Lai!" I squealed happily, feeling my energy come back,  so I jump into his arms. He chuckled, easily holding me with one of his arms, and shutting the van's door with the other.

"Hi Luce." He smiled lazily.

Yawning, still shaking off my nap, I remembered who I saw today. I looked at him happily "I saw the girl you like today!"

He blinked his big brown eyes.  "Excuse me?" He asked confused.

Did he think I forgot? Come on dude.

I came with my mom for Lai's freshman conferences a while ago, and while we were waiting all Lai could do was stare longingly at the girl who wait waiting in front of us.

Grinning evilly, I giggled "The one with hazel eyes and honey hair like mine!"

I felt his whole body tense. "I knew it! Lai's in love! Lai's i-" he set me down, glaring at me.

"Shut up Lucy, you're an idiot. I don't like her, Ijustthinkshescute." And with that, he stomped away.

Wow, someone is moody!

I skipped into the kitchen, in search of Moo, our cat.

* * * * *

"Do I have to go?" I whined, tears brimming my eyes, ready to throw a tantrum.

My mom knew what was coming, her eyes widened and she screamed for my brother.

Lai walked in, his football gear on. "What mom? I have to go."

Our mom ran up to him explaining something to him while I sat on my bed, my arms crossed over my chest. Scowling.

I'm not pouting.

I'm just not going to a stupid football game.

Suddenly Lai scooped me up into his arms, and walked to his car. I squirmed, and kicked "Put me down you dummy!" I screamed. Hoping that my mom didn't hear me said the "d" word.

Ignoring me, he set me in the booster seat in the back of his car, buckling me in. Angrily, I tried to unbuckle it but it wouldn't budge.

Lai dragged me across the parking lot and towards the stadium. "I have to go potty!" I lied to him.

He groaned, and I gave him my puppy eyes. He caved, "Can you go by your self if I wait for you?" I nodded happily, skipping towards the bathroom.

I turned the corner, then peaked out seeing him facing the other way.

Running out of the bathroom, I sprinted towards the bleachers, only to come face to face with my mother, who was looking straight at me.

Squealing, I ran down the bleachers, worming my way against the current of people making their way to the stadium.

I stopped in an open area, and I was about to keep running when I heard "You."

I whipped my head around in panic, only to come face to face with the idiot who was running around with stockings on his his head the other day.

I rolled my eyes, "Shouldn't you be in jail or something? Better yet, a mental institution." I smirked, I learned that word two days ago from Lai.

"I hate you Susie!" He glared at me, I opened my mouth to correct him, when a very tall boy who resembled Troy Bolton from High School Musical, ran up to me.

"Naaaaaaw!" He squealed. Pinching my cheeks multiple times, "Aren't you just the cutest Susie!" He gushed. Why was everyone calling me Susie?!

Then the idiot shot some insult at me, and surprisingly the girl with honey blonde hair defended me!

Tearing my gaze off of the girl who has the face that Lai liked, I looked at the boy pinching my cheeks "Hello mister." I greeted politely.

"Hi Susie, I'm Troy!" He gushed.

I smiled, his name was Troy! I wonder if his last name was Bolton! "Well Troy, my name isn't Susie, it's Lucy."

I pointed to the idiot, "That lunatic just likes to call me Susie."

Then they all started talking over each other, the idiot glared at me talking, and the boy who said his name was Troy and I just groaned "It's Lucy."

He just continued fawning, when I heard the "Oi!" Of non other then Lai.

Lai sprinted towards us, scooping me up. "Don't go wandering off on your own Luce. I got a game today. I can't keep running after you. Go back to ma."

"No, brother!" I yelled at him. Knowing he hated when I called him brother. "She bores me!" I screamed dramatically in his ear.

He rolled his eyes and started to leave.

"She's welcomed to stay with us!" Chirped the girl with Honey brown hair, I think Troy called Aqueela.

Lai looked at her, surprise in his brown eyes, but it quickly faded into  a disgusted expression.

"Hell no! I'm not trusting my little sister in your care!" He said, sounding completely serious. Hmm. Maybe he only liked how she looked and not her personality?

Then they argued for a while, but I got bored tuning them out. I did end up hearing Aqueela insult Lai's face directly.

I erupted into a fit of giggles "I already love you." I told her.

"Please Lai." I looked up at him, widening my big brown eyes, sticking out my bottom lip. "She's funny." I pointed to Aqueela.

"Yeah she is. But she's also not well in the head." Lai whisperer to me, but everyone obviously heard it.

"You're a bad whisperer." I whisperer back, but I know how to whisper so only Laiken heard.

"I like this guy." Piped in a very tall scary guy, who I cowered away from, into Lai's chest.

"Don't make me punch you in the face again Laiken." Said a tall muscular boy with electric blue eyes, wrapping his arms around Aqueela's waist.

After a bit more bargaining I was sitting in a seat in between the idiot (who I was told was named Max) and the boy with the electric blue eyes (who I was told was named Jay).

I leaned up, whispering in Jay's ear "Your eyes are the color of my mom's mini van."

* * * *

I sat on my bed crying into my pillow.

"Hey, you okay Luce?" I heard the familiar voice of my older brother.

"No!" I squeaked angrily. "Aqueela left!" He sighed, slightly annoyed.

"She's going to meet her dad Luce, she's coming back." He soothed, but I just sat up, my hair crazy.

"What if she forgets who I am?!" I wailed in distress. "And she FINALLY said my name!"

He cocked his side to  the side "What?" He asked.

I growled at him, trying to be scary.

He completely ignored me. I stood up excitedly, changing my mood, because crying was tiering me out "Will you take me to see Aqueela's boyfriend?"

He blinked down at me, "You want to go see Jay?" I nodded eagerly then running over to my vanity, grabbing two scrunchies in my fists, shoving them into his hands.

"Will you put my hair in pig tails?" I stuck out my bottom lip, widening my eyes.

* * *

Knock.
Knock.
K-knock knock.

"DO YOU WANNA BUILD A SNOWMAAAAAAN!" I screamed through the door loudly.

Hearing loud footsteps come nearer, I quickly grabbed Lai's large hand.

After what seemed like a ka-billion years, the huge door swung open.

Jay!

I leaped forward, hugging his leg, looking up.

"Susie?" He asked confused. Ignoring my nick-name, I lifted my arms up. "Up?"

Sighing, he picked me up, glancing at Lai who was standing awkwardly in the doorway.

They nodded to each other, both walking into the house.

I poked him in the eye.

"Ow! What the fu-"

"Are you wearing makeup?" I cut him off curiously. "Your eyes are pink, so is your nose."

Lai giggled into his sleeve, while Jay just shook his head smiling, "No, just a little sad about Aqueela." I nodded mutely.

"I was sad too, so Lai-Lai drove me here." I clung to his neck, yawning.

"You tired already Luce? Let's just lea-" Jay cut Laiken off, by saying I could sleep here.

That's how I ended up sleeping in Aqueela's room, Lai napping, leaned up against a wall in the room.

I turned over, opening one eye, seeing Pink standing in the doorway.

"Hi Pink!" I squeaked, running over to him, jumping on his arm, hanging there.

"Er- my name is Grey." He mumbled, stumbling backwards, though not reacting to my weight at all.

I stuck out my bottom lip, widening my eyes to their limit, scrunching up my nose a little while I sniffled.

"Can I please call you Pink? It's a prettier colour then Grey."

* * * * *

"Bye J-J!" I yelled happily, as Jay left the apartment in a rush after having a heated discussion with Pink.

I was going to give him a present.

Skipping up the stairs, I peeked into Aqueela's room to find Lai out cold still.

"Zip a dee-doo da, zip a de aye! My oh my what a wonderful day." I sang quietly, using all my might to open the door to Jay's room.

First things first... bed.

Leaping over weights and stuff. Finally I made it to the tall bed, with the duvet balled up in the middle of the bed.

After wrestling with it for a while, I managed to make it flattened out, on top of the hard mattress.

Leaping off the bed, I tucked it under the mattress and evened out the pillows.

Mama taught me how to make my bed last week!

His room wasn't too messy, but bed was gross and the floor was littered with weights and the room smelled like sweat.

One thing down, two to go.

Getting on my knees, I gripped the weight by his bed and tried to push it across the carpet, but it only moved slightly.

Hmm.

Shoving open a drawer, I grabbed the first thing my hand touched, a leather jacket.

He would miss this right? Right.

I climbed on top, his newly made bed and pulled the safety scissors out of my pink purse that I always carry.

I packed ahead of time.

After what felt like a billion years, I cut and tied the jacket to the way I wanted it.

For some reason, the safety scissors didn't work to well.

But I made do.

Jumping off the bed, I shoved the scraps in the trash can, then wrapped the jacket around the weight, tying it.

Then I slid into the little harness I cut out using the hood-collar thingy.

Stepping forward, I felt it move smoother, now that it was leather against carpet.

Eventually, with the help of the harness, I moved all the weights into the little empty corner of the room, and made them look neat.

Well... neat-ish.

Finally- the smell.

Dumping the remains of my purse onto the carpet, I got my scented nail polish, and slid under his bed with the multiple bottles.

It smelled like cooties under here.

Suck it up Lucy, you're doing this to make Mr. J-J happy.

Pulling the cap off one of the bottles, I started painting the bottom of the bed, the aroma of grape filling my nose.

Me, being the professional painter I am, I emptied all the bottles onto the bottom of the bed very quickly.

It smelled like a fruit bomb exploded under here.

Sliding out, it smelled strongly of fruit, if you were ground level.

Here we go. I stumbled over to the chair under his desk, feeling loopy from the nail-polish, I pulled the chair across the carpet to right under his fan.

Looking at the pile of stuff from my purse, I select the scotch tape and three 'fabreeze' bottles with loosened zippy ties on them.

Climbing onto the chair, I place one bottle on the bottom of a fan wing, taping it there with scotch tape.

I did the same with the other two. Moment of truth.

I quickly tightened the zippy tie on all of them, the scented air shooting out.

I leaped off the chair. Pretending to be a ninja and jump high in the air, my finger just hitting the fan switch on Jay's wall.

I closed the door, and sat outside of it waiting for the bottles to run out.

I felt my eyelid start to grow heavy, and I leaned up, rubbing them.

Should be done by now...

I walked into the room and am hit in the face with smell.

And it's good smell! Yay!

But it's very very strong... Hard to breath...

OH WELL!

I quickly got all of my stuff and shoved it in my pink purse leaving the door open to air out a little.

"Lucy?" I heard a groggy voice said from down the hall.

Looking up, I see the tall figure of Laiken.

"LAI LAI!" I squeaked happily, honestly missing him while he was sleeping.

I jumped into his arms and hugged him.

Then I locked eyes with him. "We need to have a talk Mister." He gulped dramatically, nodded, pretending to be scared.

I loved when he played along with my games! He's a good actor!

Just kidding, he's rubbish. But it's the thought that counts.

Sitting on the pink couch (my favorite thing in the world besides Slobbers who was sleeping) and placing me in front of him, he locked his brown eyes with mine.

"What?"

"Well..." I drawl.

"Jay and Aqueela are like super totes cute together. You're getting in the way of the ship. You're awesome and all, being nice to Aqueela, but not sucking up to her. But when you give her that longing look when her and Jay aren't looking at you, you're killing the vibe man. So, I as you to formally back off and realize you don't like her because she isn't your type. You're the big brother. She's the fabulous person who I want to be when I grow up. You don't mix. Where as Jay is also fabulous. Though he could use a little lip gloss and hair gel, he's still cool. So please just let their ship sail because this fairy tail is about His bubblegum klutz. At least that's what I heard him call her one time. It's not about you and her."

That was the longest speech I've ever given, and I'd practiced it in the mirror a lot.

I curtsied and giggled.

He started at me with wide eyes.

"What the hell... Lucy you're like five, where did you learn how to say that stuff?"

I gave him the stink eye.

"Okay, geez. I don't like Aqueela. I thought she was cute I guess but I don't like her like that. Jay is cool, I wouldn't cross him. Now please be a normal five year old again? You're acting like Aqueela now and I don't like it."

Grinning, I skipped toward the door.

"Let's go have a tea party!"
