Demons, also known as Devils, are a unique race of beings who self-destructed before due to their violent nature.
Their lust for blood, war and discord caused them to be in constant battle amongst themselves as well as with humanity.
Most of those who chose to live hidden in mystery from humans returned to the underworld. Which is why there are no longer traces of their presence.
In this day and age-even before-humans would thank the heavens for not letting demons inhabit their homes.
For creatures like them are cold and indifferent. The only joy horrible creatures like them would feel is in the torture of souls.
Or so one would thought.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I REGRET THIS, I'M GOING BACK." Bakugou cried in his chambers.
"Prince! Please remain calm!"
"NO. IT'S BEEN A WHOLE DAMN DAY. I WANNA SEE HER." Bakugou slammed his head on the wall, breaking it.
"She won't be able to remember you anyway..." Kaminari sweatdropped.
"I CAN RE-DO THE CURSE. FUCK, I HATE THIS."
"Wouldn't it better to leave her alone for a while, Your Highness? After all, demons who refuse to bow down to the Demon King will target her." Kirishima pointed out.
The rebels.
Bakugou sighs with a troubled look. "Exactly why I erased her memories of me..."
That was when he suddenly darted and narrowed his eyes at them.
"You three idiots, I don't trust. Mina, you look after dollface." He spoke, discarding Kaminari, Kirishima and Sero.
"What?! Let us meet her too!" Kaminari sobs.
Mina on the other hand, beamed with a proud look. "Aha! Losers, I am worthy for Little Miss!"
"It's just because you're female!!"
Bakugou grimaced at their loud noises.
"Anyway, Prince Bakugou, to what worth is that mortal to you?" Sero asks.
Their prince only scoffed, looking away. "Just a cheeky brat."
"Tell us more about her, oh great Prince!" Mina, excited for her task, asked.
The three-also curious-perked their ears.
Bakugou looked at the little charm bracelet you gave around his wrist, playing with it.
"Her name is Y/N. She likes ice cream. She also lost her tooth by the way, what a loser." He chuckled.
"She's careless, clumsy and stupid. Oh yeah there was this one time when she tried to..."
Unbeknownst even to himself, he began to rant about you and the memories he spent with you.
The four were taken a back, listening to their Master tell stories when he wasn't one to speak a lot.
But what really caught his subordinates off guard was how slowly and silently his lips curved upwards.
Even his usually sharp glare and eyebrows softened. And his stern face showed somewhat of a bright look.
So they continued to smile and listen to Bakugou. After all, they may not experience twice a moment like this again.
"Though... she's very brave too. Even with her tiny and vulnerable frame, she's quite feisty when it comes to her defense." He shrugged, smirking in pride.
The blonde demon remembers how you'd toughen up and face anything-even if you get scared at times.
"But because she stands up for her beliefs, she oftentimes get bullied. You can say she's somewhat careless as well. So Mina, you better look after her. Or I'll make sure you won't be able to handle the consequence." Bakugou glared at the end.
Mina grinned in determination. "For my prince, failure is not an option."
. . .
Because of her task, she was excused from the war to look after you.
"Y/N~ Y/N~ Oh our sweet Y/N~" Mina hummed to herself.
Demons, originally can't be seen by humans. Though there are three reasons as why they can be seen.
First, is when the said human experienced direct attack and contact causing fear to trigger their vision to see demons.
Second, is when the said human wields a third eye.
Thirdly, few of the demons are able to remain hidden. Visible or invisible.
(A/N: When I mean by visible is that demons of the 3rd group can transform themselves to blend with humans)
And Mina belongs to the third group of demons so she made herself invisible.
There were numerous of hostile demons around the area so she had to eliminate them first for your protection.
That was when her eyes spotted a young girl with H/C hair and E/C eyes.
"This is her for sure!" Her eyes twinkled in delight.
You were skipping, following the narrow painted line by the side of the street.
A few dry, dead leaves crunch beneath your feet and clouds appear when you breathe out. It was indeed fall.
Excited and giddy, she approached you with curiosity.
"She's adorable~" Mina boops your cheeks, unbeknownst to you.
During the walk, she made sure to clear out not only demons but possible hazards that have the capability to harm you.
Even the slightest ones.
Such as stones that you may trip on and slippery floor or muds.
"Ooh, what's this?" Mina laid her eyes on the wide plain filled with autumn blossoms and shrubs.
Putting her attention back to you, she saw you picking up Verbena flowers.
"Huh. Those are the same flowers our Prince brought last time."
A few moments flew by, Mina admired the vibrant and cozy beauty of autumn.
Though when she'd glance back at you, she frowned at the odd look you wore.
"Master told me you'd be all smiles. You don't seem very giddy..." The demon shrugged, petting your head.
Throughout the whole day, you were silent and it slightly worried your guardian.
Then, she followed you leaving the plain before heading towards what seemed like a house in a tree.
"Whoa~ Master mentioned a Kingdom-a castle actually." She laughs. "Is this what he meant?"
You climbed up, making Mina flail her arms around you, worried you'd fall.
"What an adventurous young miss." She sighed.
That was when you plastered your face unto the pillow before groaning loudly making Mina tilt her head.
Just when she was about to complain to herself, she heard you mutter.
"Why do I feel like I'm missing something important... I don't feel so good today..." You spoke your thoughts out loud to yourself.
Mina furrowed her eyebrows. "Why do I feel guilty."
Not only were your intangible memories taken, Bakugou took the drawings and momentums you and he shared as well.
The only item that he left you with was the charm bracelet.
You couldn't even remember how you gained it or when you made it.
Either way you felt like it was important so you just couldn't take it off.
Until Mina's eyes wandered to you crawling outside the window making her immediately follow to keep your safety in check.
Sitting on a branch, Mina watched you doze off the sunset.
The leaves were slowly turning into dazzling colors of ambers, reds and yellows creating images similar to that of the dusk you're witnessing.
You fiddled with your charm bracelet a lot, not taking your eyes off the sunset.
No words left your lips.
Only the bugs buzzing, croaking of frogs and the chirps of birds filled the atmosphere-matching the wind that made leaves dance.
You didn't look happy-nor did you look sad.
You looked... lost. Missing and incomplete. As if a piece that was never yours was taken away.
Mina frowned in concern.
Until she was taken a back when a tear rolled down your cheek.
"Hey hey, don't cry... Master would be worries." She reached to you, caressing your damp cheek.
Your E/C orbs continued to linger at the sunset.
Vermilion eyes passed by your mind in a second. A man whose colors are a spitting image of the autumn's sunset.
It made you feel lonely.
"I'm missing someone more than I can remember them..." You murmured as the sun dipped and the graveyard of stars rose.
