"It's one of the last days of showing for Black Panther," Chanyeol points out and Baekhyun nods, hardly containing his excitement.

"Let's just go, quick! Before the good seats are taken!"

Chanyeol laughs when Baekhyun grabs one of the open sides of his jacket, pulling him along. While Baekhyun bounces on his toes next to him, Chanyeol buys advanced tickets without the shorter's knowledge, taking the tickets shortly after.

They get led to the theatre a few seconds later and Chanyeol hands Baekhyun 3D glasses, bringing both of them to one of the big seats.

"Uh, aren't these for like, rich people or something," Baekhyun says unsurely and Chanyeol turns to him in the dark.

"You forget who you're talking to."

It's only when the movie starts that Baekhyun squeaks, his hands flying to grab the armrests when the chair starts moving.

"What in the shit—"

"Shhh," Chanyeol teases and Baekhyun glares at him the best he can through his glasses.

"I didn't know that these chairs move," Baekhyun states with a hiss, turning back to the screen and feeling the chair tilt to the left along with the airship in the movie.

Chanyeol doesn't say anything and simply gives Baekhyun the big bag of popcorn he bought during the commercials, watching in amusement as Baekhyun accepts it without a fuss.

"I hope this doesn't shoot me to the front or something," Baekhyun mumbles as he shoves popcorn in his mouth. He's talking relatively loud because it's only them and another couple in the front, seemingly making out without a shame. If they can show PDA, he'll talk as fucking loudly as he wants.

"It won't," Chanyeol reassures, and Baekhyun merely scoffs.

"I can't believe he was fucking defeated how in the hell—" while Baekhyun's talking to himself, he turns over to look at Chanyeol only to find him—he thinks—asleep. His head is tilted back and his mouth is slightly parted, so Baekhyun can only assume he's asleep. If not, maybe Chanyeol's just really shocked, because his 3D glasses are blocking his eyes from being seen.

When Baekhyun finally decides that Chanyeol's sleeping, he shakes his head.

It baffles the brunet because the chair has been moving at random scenes in the movie, and they're watching Black Panther, out of all movies. How could Chanyeol fall asleep?

He keeps his chuckle to himself and finds that he can't wake Chanyeol up, not when the taller looks like he's having the best nap in the world.  It makes Baekhyun wonder if Chanyeol's been getting good sleep lately with how easily he fell into slumber.

Baekhyun knows that these days have been filled with especially good sleep for himself—because, well, how could he not have good sleep? His finals finished at the end of February and the person he's been secretly longing for returned out of the blue. His friendships are all in tact and there's really no problems he can think of, other than typical dilemmas of not having his favourite cereal in the morning (courtesy of Jongdae, always snacking on it in the room).

His eyes stay glued to Chanyeol much longer than necessary, and for the first time, he wonders how hard Chanyeol's life has been.

Baekhyun's family has always been the richest out of the two of them, so the money for his education was guaranteed and he didn't need to stress about anything financial. He was smart naturally so passing his exams was easy, and getting friends was even easier. University has not been a bad experience to him—not worse than anyone else's normal experience studying, at least—and the only thing he ever really sulked about was the person sitting next to him, snoozing because of what was probably a lack of sleep.

He's heard about idol life. About how stressful it is and how hard it is to keep oneself sane. It must really suck, to have people always staring and watching; calculating every single move. Saying endless praises and words of love but never really being able to help. He wonders how lonely Chanyeol gets, being a solo artist. And then he remembers how Sehun and Kyungsoo don't really like him (he only believes so because he sees them in the chat) and he feels his gut twisting. When he imagines the Chanyeol that he knows—not the one that he's been resenting and holding a grudge on, but the one that brings him donuts and keeps his stuffed animal with him at all times, being hated on by the people around him... being left alone, Baekhyun feels his eyes fill with tears.

Baekhyun can only imagine what Chanyeol's been through, and he feels his heart fill with shame when he realizes that he's one of the reasons why being an idol sucks.

He's been Chanyeol's hater for forever. Who's to say that Chanyeol hasn't seen his comments before and felt insecure?

He's commented things ranging from how Chanyeol looks terrible at every second of the day, to how he's not talented and how he doesn't deserve to be an idol... He's even commented things on how Chanyeol should "kys", but not in acronyms.

And now Baekhyun's sniffling and wiping stray tears with the back of his hand, thinking about how—even with all the stress of being an idol—Chanyeol still went to see him during his break.

Chanyeol bothered him with date propositions and a lot of food when he should've been resting and hiding from the world. In the grand scheme of things, he risked being found gay if ever he was caught with Baekhyun. And yet he still did it. He's still doing it, even after Baekhyun made him wait in a park like the asshole that he is.

For some reason, he's still here, even after Baekhyun didn't give him a proper response to his confession and kept lowkey insisting that they were friends.

There's no way that Baekhyun can think of Chanyeol as only a friend, after everything they experienced.

The chair underneath him suddenly jerks forward and he barely even notices his bag of popcorn falling out of his lap and spilling on the ground, because he only sees Chanyeol jumping awake. It's cute. Really cute, when the first thing Chanyeol does is look for Baekhyun.

When he sees the shorter staring at him, he pulls his 3D glasses off (because really, he hasn't been using them at all) and he grins. "I had a dream about you, you know."

Baekhyun bites his lip to hold back the small little sob that threatens to escape his mouth, nodding even if he has no idea what Chanyeol was talking about.

"I was remembering that time, you know, when we went skating together, and you looked really cute in your huge jacket and you got scared of falling..."

Baekhyun remembers that time too well.

"That was probably the time I realized that I... yeah." Chanyeol very obviously refrains from saying the rest, because he thinks it'll make Baekhyun uncomfortable even though the brunet is already as red as a tomato. "Do you remember that time?" Chanyeol questions.

When Baekhyun processes fully that they found out their love for each other at the same time, he starts feeling a little breathless, his heart rate quickening and sending little tingles to his fingers.

Baekhyun can't believe that while he was thinking of how amazing Chanyeol was, that same person was thinking exactly like that, but to him.

"Of course, I remember."

He fell in love with Chanyeol once, and he never fell again.

Because—he finally figured out—he never stopped, in the first place.

ayeeee

how's that for a triple update

anyway y'all I have an importanté question.

after this book I'm releasing another humour romance Chanbaek book (maybe angst + action) and I need to know which one y'all would prefer. keep in mind my writing will be shit in either because with comedy i don't take things serious... i guess you could say

READ BOTH FIRST THX

Option 1:

A Switch in Disposition
Baekhyun is Chanyeol's evil CEO and Chanyeol is his secretary. Chanyeol has always had a little crush on him even if his personality is rotten, just because sometimes Baekhyun looks cute when he's angry. One day, everything changes when Baekhyun rips off a company built on "granting your wish" and the owner casts a spell on Baekhyun.

This spell reverses his personality completely for a year, and when Baekhyun comes to work the next day, blushing when he sees Chanyeol and tripping on his own shoes, Chanyeol is really confused. It's only when he gets info that a spell has been cast that he understands why Baekhyun suddenly really likes strawberries and grabs the back of Chanyeol's shirt when he's about to clock out and leave Baekhyun alone in his office.

Chanyeol can't deny that he finds the new Baekhyun a hundred times cuter. He also can't deny that his life is going to be a thousand times harder, having to help the now clueless CEO run his business for a year.

Option 2:

Abuse of Power
"Okay, get this. You're going to go undercover as Park Jaehwan."

"Is that it? You told me I was going to have fun."

"The thing is, Park Jaehwan is going to be selling drugs to eventually catch Mr. Big Mafia. He's going to be doing it in a gay bar. Surrounded by gay people. While being gay."

"Did you have to say the word gay that much... And are you shitting me? 100% serious? No jokes?"

"It's a serious matter, Chanyeol! Of course there are no jokes!"

"You once made me go undercover as a buff old lady just for 'funsies', Baekhyun."

(Description:)

Chanyeol is a—in Baekhyun's opinion—hot as hell secret government agent, but unfortunately, he's straight. Baekhyun, of course, knowing that if he has superiority over Chanyeol he can't abuse it, makes up a fake mission to turn Chanyeol gay. (He lied about not abusing his seniority powers.)

Choose one lol. If you want one comment on the inline comment next to Option 1 or 2 up there not here fam pls not here
