CHAPTER 8
~
*JIMIN*
Jimin's world fell apart ever since the day he lost both of his parents. But he was still able to dance, and dancing gave him life, it gave him another reason to live and be happy but he was unfortunate enough to lose his sight. Can his life ever get worse? Will his misery ever end? Why can’t his life be any better? Why can’t he just be happy? Why does he have to lose everything? Why? Or was he cursed? Could he be a cursed prince? Who knows, besides his life is a true definition of being cursed.
He continued crying. Pouring out his pain, bitterness, agony, emotions. He was broken. Broken beyond repairs. Sometimes he look up at the future and all he could see is…Darkness. Total darkness, there wasn’t even a little dim of light. There was no gleam of hope. Jimin placed his hands on his chest as he cried. His heart hurts, it aches, it’s shattered. Will he ever be happy? Ever?
Rain started falling but Jimin didn’t even make a move, he just sat there and continued crying. Suddenly, he felt a shade form over his head. The rain was still falling but it wasn’t touching him anymore. He was confused. Bobo can’t be the one covering him with an umbrella or something and neither can it be just a passer by, because it was damn late and no normal person will be out here this late and especially around a beach. It could only be….
“Lisa?”

*HWASA*
“What do you want?” Hwasa hissed as she tightened her grasp around the phone against her ear. She was burning in fury, her nose were flaring in anger, her face were reddened.
“I expected you to be happy, you know. But seems like I thought wrong. Anyway, how are you?” She could imagine the smirk on his stupid face. Like usual.
“Happy? How am I?” She scoffed. “Are you seriously asking me that? Who the fuck do you think you are to do shit as you please, huh?” She snapped, she was very furious and it’s all because of this one guy speaking to her right now.
“Wait, don’t tell me you are still angry about what happened years back?”
She felt like squeezing the life out of him. She was so angry. “Shut the fuck up, you animal.” She almost yelled but controlled herself so she wouldn’t be heard by the guards outside her door. “After everything I did for you, after everything! You still left. I hate you.”
“Hey, but you love me first, remember?”
“Loved. And yeah, I did fell in love with you but that disappeared ever since you left.” She glared. “Why did you even call? What do you fucking want?”
She heard him let out a sigh at the end of the other line but didn’t say anything as she awaited his response. “You know exactly what I want, Hwasa.” His voice held confidence and venom, she almost even peed on herself. “I’m the only one who knows something that no one knows. Even Jimin doesn’t know it either. Why did you keep it away from him again?” He pretend to be in thought and suddenly started laughing making Hwasa look stupid. “For your own selfishness, you think I don’t know your plans? You can deceive everyone, Hwasa. Everyone but me.”
“What are you talking about?” She questioned.
“You’ve already gotten what you wanted, so give me what I want. If you don’t, then I will have to just destroy yours.”
“Are you threatening me?”
“Oh, so you know what I’m talking about now, don’t you?” He chuckles darkly. “No, queen-to-be, I’m not threatening you, but it’s rather a promise I will be fulfilling to you if you don’t do as I please and also, think of your blind nephew… don’t do anything stupid if you don’t want him dead.”

*JIMIN*
“Why are you doing this to yourself, my prince? You said you were only just going to dance and not cry.” Lisa dropped to her knees as she wrapped her arms around Jimin and pulled him closer to her chest, providing him with the warmth that he needed. They both stayed under the shade of the umbrella, including Bobo who snuggled closer to Jimin.
“I…” He clears his throat. “Why are you here, shouldn’t you be with your boyfriend?” Jimin asked instead, with the intention of changing the topic and he did succeeded. For a second.
“I was with him before the weather changed. I knew if I don’t come to you, you would get drenched up in the rain but I never imagined you here, crying your heart out. Are you alright?” The young maid asked, concern laced in her voice.
Jimin sniffed, nodding his head. “I’m fine, Lisa. I’m always fine.” He said in a whisper, letting out a sigh.
Lisa could saw right through those lies but she didn’t push Jimin into answering her honestly, so she decided to believe the lie. She’s the only one who seem to know more about Jimin’s fucked up life aside from Hwasa. She was right beside him when he lost his sight. The sound of the bullet were still ringing in her ear, Jimin’s voice was heard right after the sound of the bullet. She could never forget that day. It was stuck right in her head. Sometimes when she looks at Jimin, all she see is a strong man, walking through a burning flame, he is hurt but he was far from giving up. She admires Jimin charismatic personality. She actually idolized the young man.
~FLASHBACK~
Jimin smiled as he stared at his reflection on the mirror standing right in front of him. He couldn’t believe the day was finally here. He has been waiting for this day all his life and now it’s here. He couldn’t be less happy.
The door to the changing room opened, Lisa walked in with a bottle of cold water and handed it over to Jimin. Jimin collects the water and took a sip before giving it back to Lisa.
Lisa dropped the bottle on the table and helped Jimin in readjusting his hair. After she was done, she took a step back from Jimin and stared at him, admiring the beauty of her prince.
*You look so beautiful, my prince* Lisa complimented, smiling.
Jimin smiled, he pushed a strand of hair from his face and tucked it behind his ear. *Thanks for the compliment, Lisa.* He looks over at the closed door. *How about Aunt Hwasa?*
*She's on her way. She had something to take care of so she would be away for a little while. But she asked me to tell you to be careful and to make sure to make her proud.*
Jimin smiled. *Aunt always have a way of making me smile.* He said getting up to his feet. He straightened his shirt before turning over to Lisa. *I just hope I don't fuck up for the team.* He said sadly.
*Why will you say that, my prince? Honestly your dance is the most beautiful I've ever seen no am not saying all these because you are my prince but am rather saying this because it's a fact.* The maid said with a smile on her face.
*Are you sure?*
*I'm certain.*
That was all he needed to conquer the fears building up in him. He took in few deep breaths, while smiling at Lisa. Two of his co-dancers appeared in front of the door and told him it was time for the performance. Lisa wished him good luck as he walked away alongside the dancers. Jimin was happy for this special occasion, he has been waiting for this day all his life and now it’s finally here. He’s never been this happy in his life until now…and it’s all thanks to ballet.
The music start playing, the spotlight were focusing on him and his male dance partner. The area were the audience sat was dark, the only light available was the spotlight on stage. Jimin and his dance partner began moving to the rhythm of the song, while the other dancers danced behind them as well. It was going smoothly. It was perfect. It was going according to how he had imagined it. He pirouette, his dance partner arms were around his slim waist as he swirl. The audience applauded them. Their applaud ignited a fire within him as he picked up and started dancing better than earlier. He was doing a good job… Everyone were happy and satisfied with his beautiful performance….Well that was what he thought… but he was in for a bigger shock when the sound of a bullet was heard.
Jimin stood still, every dancers quickly dropped on the ground as a way of protecting themselves but he didn’t. He just stood there and watch as the bullet moved towards him in a full speed. Boom! His screams was the next thing that was heard afterwards…
~END OF FLASHBACK~
His life never got any better…if anything it got worse instead. And yet he keep asking himself if his life will ever get better, when in reality he knows the right answer to that question.
“Let’s go home. You will catch a flu if we still stay here.” Lisa said, pulling Jimin up to his feet. “Come on Bobo.” Bobo whines, getting to his feet as well. “Let’s go.”

*JUNGKOOK*
As his eyes flutters open the next morning, the first image that came into his mind was ‘him’. Yes, it sound stupid but he just can’t seem to forget him. His moves. His hair that flowed to the rhythm of the wind. And most especially, he can’t push off the sound of his crying voice. Why does it bother him so much? It’s not like he knows him or anything, he was just someone whose dance moves captivated him and not the other way round. Right? Damn, he was a complete mess.
He got out of bed and walked to the bathroom, he had a quick bath, brush his teeth and got dressed for work. He grabbed his suit jacket, his phone and car keys before leaving his bedroom. Jungkook descended the flight of stairs, made his way to the kitchen, he didn’t even say good morning to anyone…There was no surprise there though. He made coffee for himself and drank the whole dark liquid. He let out a sigh as he turned around to leave the house but then his mom appeared in front of him, standing in between him and the door.
“What do you want?” He asked through gritted teeth.
“Jungkook…I need to speak with you.” She said in a low voice.
“I have to be at work or I will be late.” Jungkook said harshly.
“I know. But you have to listen to me first, it’s… it’s about your father’s death.” She said.
That caught the attention of Jungkook. “Do…do you remember anything?” He questioned, getting concerned to the discussion at hand now.
She slowly nodded her head as she looked up at her son. Her eyes glistened with unshed tears. She knows what ever she was going to say will break her son into pieces but he needs to know the truth.
“I…”
