CHAPTER 7
~His aching heart….~
*JIMIN*
“You can go spend time with your boyfriend.” He reassured.
Lisa shook her head in disagreement almost immediately Jimin suggested that. “I can’t leave you all by yourself, my prince. It’s so late.”
Jimin let out a sigh as he tried reaching out to his maid’s hand but he was going the wrong direction, Lisa quickly grabbed hold of Jimin’s hand and held it in hers. “I know you are worried about me. And I also know you miss your boyfriend and that’s why I’m giving you the opportunity to go to him..” He squeezed Lisa’s hand gently. “Don’t worry Bobo is here to look out for me and besides when you are done you can come over here. I will wait up for you.”
“But Miss Hwasa will be so mad at me if she gets to find out that I left you all by yourself here.”
“Well she wouldn’t know anything if neither of us say a word to her.” Jimin raised a suggestive brow at her, waiting patiently for her reply. He really needed this. He wanted to have this moment and time to himself. He was blind but dancing to the wave and waters brought calmness to his stormy night. Being watched by Lisa will only make him feel….less good of a dancer. He was blind after all and wouldn’t even get to see Lisa's facial expression when he begin dancing and he was still afraid of being mocked or being looked down upon. He knows he was nothing compared to those talented Ballerinas up stage. The day he lost his sight was the beginning of his failure.
After hesitating for awhile, Lisa finally accepted. “Alright. I promise to come back on time.”
“Don’t end the date too quick because of me.” Jimin yelled after Lisa, who was already walking away.
“Okay. Bye!” Lisa yelled back.
Jimin's li-ps stretched into a smile as he sunk into the sandy ground and hugged his knees against his chest. Bobo laid beside him and snuggled closer to him for warmth. Jimin chuckled as he wrapped his arms around the poor dog. He started playing with its furs as he looked ahead of the calm waters. Though he couldn’t see anything but hearing the calm waves comforted him.
He had initially came over here to think and not dance. He needed time alone and obviously the palace won’t provide him with that. Did he make the right decision? Putting Hwasa in charge of the throne wasn’t a bad idea, right? He trusted his aunt and that’s one reason why he made her take over for now but something in him was doubting this decision of his. He hope he hasn’t make any sort of mistake. But it was better this way, he doesn’t want royalty to depart from his father’s lineage, his father and great grandfather had worked so hard to retain the throne, so who was he to change things. He was blind and can’t possibly rule the people in that state…yes, he made the right decision. Hwasa will take good care of the throne and the people. Besides she had been the one taking care of him after he became blind, Hwasa was reliable and trustable. He was stupid to have doubted her in the first place.
He tucked a strand of hair from his face to the back of his ear and let out another breath. He stood up to his feet and dusted the dirt off and slowly began to dance to the rhythm of the waves. It felt magical how the waves sounded like music to his ear. But he loved it.
He pirouette once, did a temps leve as he hopped from one foot to the same foot. Tears pricked at the corner of his eyes. Dancing reminded him of his parents. They were the first audience to ever watch him dance when he was just five years of age. He pirouette again and slowly lifted his legs off the ground doing a saute. The wind caresses his skin, he felt pleased. Most importantly, it felt as though his parents were here, watching him, guiding him, encouraging him like they always do. This was the only way he could connect to his late parents. This was the only way he could think. Yeah, he really didn’t come here to dance but to think….but dancing is what help him think.
~FLASHBACK~
He jumped, his front leg extend out to the side and up off the floor while the supporting leg hops. The extended leg then lands behind the supporting leg. He pirouette and lifted his two legs off the ground, extending it out across the air. He lands on both of his feet. His parents started cheering him up as they applauded him. He was happy and just when he was going to do fouette, he lost his balance and fell on his face.
His parents quickly ran towards him and picked him up.
*Are you alright?* His mother asked.
A tear streamed down the little boy’s face. *why can't I do the fouette? Other ballerinas do it with ease so why can't I?*
His mom gave him a sad look and wiped the strain of tear off his cheek. *Everyone aren't perfect, my son. And besides you are just five years old so it's ok if you aren't perfect in that turn yet.*
*And at that, your dance was very good. It was perfect, elegant and beautiful.* His father added as he picked him up in his arms.
Little Jimin smiled. *You think so?*
*I can do anything to watch you dance, my angel. I've never seen such great moves.* He pressed a kiss on his forehead while Jimin giggled, wrapping his arms around his father's broad shoulders. *I'm sure later in the future, your dance will be used to console and repair broken hearts.*
*What if I don't get the turn when I get older?* Jimin questioned.
The queen, his mother stood beside her husband and her son. She placed her hand on little Jimin’s back and said, *You will. I'm certain you will. But make sure you don't push yourself into doing things. Be calm and always know it is okay to fail. In every perfection there is a failure.* She leaned forward and pressed a kiss on Jimin’s forehead. *And most importantly, I will always be here to see you through.*
~END OF FLASHBACK~
Jimin started spinning, it began slowly at first but it became faster, and faster and faster. He was going to do the fouette, the whipped throw. He had been practicing this move even before he became blind, but the moves was one heck of a difficult one. Not every ballerina can do this turn unless that Ballerina was an expert or professional. He slowly passed his working leg in front of his body, still spinning. He slowed down while spinning and came to a stop. He pose in a attitude
(A/N: it’s a kind of a pose a Jimin does, his leg is extended to the front of his body while his knee is turned to the side)
Tears streamed down to his face as he kept staring at the waters, he was also smiling in between the tears. He did it.
He couldn’t believe he actually got the turn. He has been practicing this turn all his life even before his parents died and he lost his sight. But he kept failing. He can’t even count the amount of times he failed when trying to get the turn. But now…he actually did. His mom was right after all….*In every perfection there is a failure…* His mom words rang in his head and that was all it took for him to break down. He started crying, his legs gave up on him as he fell to the ground, Bobo ran towards him and started whining. It could feel his pain as well.
“Eomma….Appa…I did it…I…” He sobs. “I did it.” He said in between sobs. He wish they were here. He wish they were here to watch him do the turn. He wish…But the wish was impossible. They were gone and they were never going to come back. Ever.
~FLASHBACK~
“There is a bad news.” A guard said as he ran towards Jimin and Hwasa. Jimin was playing the piano with Hwasa when they guard ran in, he was crying as well.
“What happened?” Hwasa asked, getting up to her feet alongside Jimin who was confuse with why the guard was crying.
“It’s the king and queen…” His voice cracked as the tears wouldn’t let him speak clearly.
“What happened to them?” Hwasa asked now getting very worried.
“They…they were involved in a car accident…The king is dead but the queen is being rushed to the hospital…. She’s…”
Hwasa didn’t wait for him to continue, she quickly grabbed Jimin by the wrist. “Take us to the hospital now.” She ordered as uncontrollably tears streamed down her face.

*Eunbyeol.* Hwasa called softly as she sat down beside her sister, who was connected to different kind of machines. Her breathing were shabby. She even had life support connected to her. She was looking very bad.
*Eomma…* Jimin called softly as he tried waking up his mother but his mom wasn’t responding. He turned around to look at his aunt. “Aunt, why is mum lying down like this?” He asked.
Hwasa wrapped her arms around her nephew’s body as she pulled him closer to her body and continued crying. “She will be fine…she has to be…she needs to be…she wouldn't leave you behind .” She kept mumbling in between tears.
“What about Appa?” Jimin asked.
Hwasa didn’t say anything but sobbed harder . How was she going to tell the little boy about his father’s death? How will he take it? They suddenly heard a movement, Hwasa pulled away from Jimin and tuned to her sister whose eyes were already open. But she still looked very weak, tears flowed to her face as she looked down at her crying son.
“Eunbyeol…. Hold on let me go call the doctor.” Hwasa was about leaving but got stopped by Eunbyeol’s hand around her wrist. “what is it?”
Eunbyeol shook her head as more tears streamed down. “It's hopeless.” She breaths out. She looks down at her son. “I’m sorry I won't be able to keep my word, my little prince…” She smiled bitterly, reaching out to her son’s hand weakly. “But always know I will forever protect you and be with you.”
“Are you going somewhere, Eomma?” Little Jimin asked.
“Yes, my love. Eomma is going far away……Eomma is going to meet Appa”
“I want to come with you as well.”
“You can't. It isn't yet time for you, my little prince* She lifted Jimin’s hand to her lips and pressed a kiss at the back of her son’s palm. “If you ever want to connect to us, dance to the rhythm of the waves, we will be there watching you.”
She looks up at her sister. “Please protect my little prince. Love him, care for him, treat him like your own son…. That's my last wish.” With that, she gave up. She died.
~END OF FLASHBACK~
That was the day Jimin’s world came crumbling down. That was the beginning of his misfortune. He continued crying, pouring out his heart, his pain, his agony. He was broken, broken beyond repair. But yet he keep asking himself, will his life ever change for the better? Will his dark world become light?
Rain started falling but Jimin didn’t make any attempt to move, he just sat there crying. Suddenly, he felt a shade form over his head. The rain was still falling but it wasn’t touching him anymore. He slowly lifted his head but what could he possibly do when he can’t even see any god damn thing. He was confused, It can’t be Bobo, he was just a dog and can’t possibly do anything unless it is….
“Lisa?”
