CHAPTER 55
~Trust…kills~
“Tell me babe, what do you want?”
“Everything.” She answered, folding her arms over her chest in anger.
“Everything?” He questioned, pulling her close into his arms.
“Everything my sister own. I want it.” She said.
“Then let’s get it, what do you say babe?”
She pulled away from his arms, staring up at him in confusion. “What do you mean? No, I mean, how?”
“Every royalty needs a heir to continue with their legacy, don’t you think?” He smirked, pulling her back into his arms.
She furrowed her brows a little, still confused. “What are you trying to say, babe?”
He dropped a light kiss over her head and smiled. “I’m saying we should take out the heir, babe.”
She stayed quiet for a while, trying to process what he had just said…slowly everything became more clearer to her.
“Do you think it’s going to work out?” She asked a bit worried.
“That shouldn’t be the question here. The question here should be, are you sure you are willing to do this, Hwasa?”
*****
“Aunt Hwasa!” Jimin yelled in excitement, jumping into the arms of his aunt.
Hwasa swirled little Jimin in her arms, laughing along with the little child.
After a while of giggling and playing, she finally dropped the little boy on his feet.
“You guys are really making me jealous.” Eunbyeol, Hwasa’s sister and the queen of the city said, coming towards them.
“You don’t have to be jealous, little sis.” Hwasa said, pulling Eunbyeol into her arms for a warm hug. “So tell me, how is everything?”
Eunbyeol shrugged. “Great?”
Hwasa raised a questioning brow at her sister. “Are you sure everything is great?”
Eunbyeol hesitate for a while before quietly shaking her head ‘no’ lowering her gaze to his beautiful son.
“Um sweetie,” Hwasa looks down at Jimin. “Do you mind leaving mommy and I alone for a bit?”
“Hmm.” Jimin nodded his head, smiling. “But promise to play with me after you are done with mommy.” The little child stick out his Pinky finger towards his aunt.
Hwasa laughed softly, going to the level of the child. “Promise.” She took out her own Pinky finger and wrapped it around the little child’s own. “Should we seal it?”
“Of course.” They bring their thumb finger together, sealing the promise they’ve just made.
“Wow. Most people will think he’s your son and not mine. Gosh, I feel so betrayed by my own son and sister.” Eunbyeol said, jokingly.
“I love you, mommy!” Jimin said at the top of his voice before running away, leaving the two adult to have their discussion.
“He is so cute.” Hwasa said, coming back up to her normal height. “He reminds me so much of you when we were kids.”
“Oh, please. He looks more like you.” Eunbyeol smiled.
They were both heading out of the palace to the garden at the back of the building.
“I’m quite jealous of you, little sis.” Hwasa said after a moment of silence.
“Jealous? What’s there to be jealous about, big sis? Honestly, I’m the one who is jealous of you…you are just too sweet, nice, even my own child prefers you to me.”
“What are you saying.” Hwasa chuckles. “Jimin loves you. But hey, I’m his number aunt, remember? No one can compete with me on that.”
“Yeah, right.”
“But… there’s nothing there to be jealous of me about. I’m just…too normal.” She sighed.
“Now that’s what I’m jealous about.” Eunbyeol said as they both sat down on the bench.
“Are you going to tell me what happen now?” Hwasa asked.
Hwasa stayed quiet for a while before saying. “We had a fight.”
Hwasa gasped. “Why? What happened?”
“I don’t even know!” Eunbyeol stated. “But it has something to do with his mother.”
“Don’t tell me she’s still trying to destroy you both.” Eunbyeol shrugged. “Like seriously? I thought you said she love Jimin so much.”
“Yeah. She loves her grandson and not me.” Eunbyeol reached out to Hwasa’s hand. “Am I a bad person?”
Hwasa quickly shook her head no, hiding her sister’s hands tightly. “You are not a bad person, Byeol. You are beautiful, kind, courageous, smart… Jimin is lucky to have a mother as flawless as you. It’s her problem if she hates you but one thing I know is that she can’t put enmity between you and the king, your husband.”
“I think she’s already putting enmity between us, sis. The king and I just had a fight.”
“Then put an end to it. Don’t let that old hag win over you both, okay? You’ve both come too far to end things between you both. And besides, think about Jimin.” She smiled. “And most importantly, it is natural for a man and his wife to fight…that's what make the marriage stronger.”
Eunbyeol smiled, engulfing Hwasa into a hug. “Thank you so much. I really appreciate your effort, big sis. You don’t know how much my son and husband mean to me…you don’t know how much I love my family and I’m willing to do anything for them.”
“I know, sweetie. I know.”
Eunbyeol pulled away from the embrace and stared directly into her sister’s eyes, still smiling. “I’m glad Jimin have you as his aunt. Even if I die today, I won’t be worried because I know you will always be with him and protect him.”
Hwasa smiled. “Of course.”
*Every royalty needs a heir to continue their legacy, don't you think?*
*What are you trying to say?*
*I'm saying we should take out the heir, babe.*
Does she still want to go on with the plan?
Does she really want to put her own sister through the pain and heartache of losing her child?
She doesn’t want Jimin to die but is she willing to drop everything and stop?
Is she willing to forget her dreams in ruling as a queen just like her sister?
What will he think of her if he get to know that she’s planning on dropping the plan?
Will he still want to be with her?
She doesn’t want to lose him… It’s pretty hard to look for someone like him. It’s pretty hard to see someone who is willing and ready to marry you.
And besides, the throne was meant to be his and not Eunbyeol’s husband. The throne deserve to be for Jackson. He’s the first son so why wasn’t he given the throne…?
That was her thought… Hwasa’s thought.
To her, she’s doing the right thing. She’s fighting for what really belong to her boyfriend.
But little does she know…
Her phone beeped, signifying a new text. She brought out her phone and stared down at the text, going through it.
JACKSON: How is the plan going, love? You’ve poisoned her food, right?:-[
Hwasa let out a deep breath, putting her phone back into her pocket.
“Is everything okay, sis?” Eunbyeol asked, worriedly.
“Um…yeah…I…yes, I’m okay.” Hwasa replied, faking a smile. “We should go, right? You know I need to fulfil my wish.”
“Are you choosing him over me, big sister?” Eunbyeol joked.
Hwasa laugh, getting up to her feet. “What can I say? Someone has taken your spot in my heart.”
“Ouch! That burns.”

“You didn’t do it? Are you kidding me right now?” Jackson asked in annoyance.
“Calm down, Jackson.” Hwasa said, letting out a deep breath. “I tried, okay? I tried to take out the plan but… it’s my nephew we are talking about here.”
“He’s also my nephew, Hwasa!” He snapped out, making Hwasa flinch a little. “I’m…” He clears his throat, taking a step closer to her. “I’m sorry for yelling at you like that.” He apologized. “It’s just…that throne is rightfully mine, babe. It was taken away from me. I was denied of my inheritance! Do you know how painful that is?”
Hwasa went closer to him and pulled him into her arms. “I’m sorry.”
“You said you wanted the life of your sister but how can I do that for you and my daughter if I don’t become king?”
“I’m sorry babe.” She apologized. “I will do everything within my power to make that throne yours again, okay?”
“Are you sure, Hwasa? Can you still do this? I mean, you are too nice, Hwasa…do you want me to kill her myself?”
Hwasa quickly shook her head. “No. I will do that myself. I…just give me some time.”
Jackson stared at her for a while before shrugging his shoulder. “Alright then. But just know this, time is not on our side, My daughter can’t remain a maid for their child forever.”
Hwasa smiled, kissing him on his lips. “But come to think of it, they are taking very good care of her.”
“There is a different between being a prince and being a maid for the prince, Hwasa.”

“Aunt is going to take care of you, okay?” Eunbyeol said to her child, wearing a black bonnet on her head.
“I know, mommy.” Jimin said, smiling.
“Good. And make sure you be a good boy, okay? Do not stress aunt.”
“I promise.”
“Stop promising…just be good.”
“Is my little nephew ready?” Hwasa asked cheerfully, walking into the bedroom of Jimin.
“Yes, he is.” Eunbyeol replied, smiling.
“Come here Hun, let’s leave or we will be late.”
“Okay aunt Hwasa.”

*NAMJOON*
“Jungkook?” Namjoon questioned, holding the phone close to his ear.
“What’s going on?” Jungkook asked, his voice were so dry and husky.
“Where are you?”
“Is that meant to be your problem?” Jungkook asked, rudely.
“Just shut up and answer me…where are you?”
“Home…um, the graveyard. Why?”
“You need to go over to Jimin’s.” Namjoon said, hopping into his car.
“Why?”
“The accomplice isn’t Eva…we saw the wrong photo, Jungkook.”
“Then who is?”
“Lisa.”

“Be careful, darling or you will fall.” Hwasa warned.
“I won’t fall aunt!” Jimin stated, running off to a kid at the corner of a rollercoaster.
Hwasa sighed taking out her phone from her pocket and going into the app of messages and typed a quick text to Jackson.
HWASA: We are here. Where are you?:-[
She looked around trying to spot him out but he was nowhere to be seen.
She stared back at Jimin but didn’t find him anywhere around again…even the kid he had gone to meet wasn’t there as well.
“Jimin?” Hwasa called out, walking towards the spot where she had last seen her nephew.
She kept looking around but mistakenly bumped into someone…Jackson.
“Fuck, you scared me.” Hwasa said, calming her nerves down. “You didn’t tell me you were around.”
“I’ve been waiting for you both to come, babe.” He said. “Where is he?”
“I can’t find him again, Jackson.”
“What do you mean by you can’t find him? Didn’t you bring him here with you? Wait, are you playing tricks with me?”
“I’m not. I saw him wander off to some kid but as soon as I texted you and looked back up…he was gone.”
“Dammit!” Jackson cursed out loud. “We need to find him. We can’t lose him. We…”
“Don’t you think this is a good idea?” Hwasa questioned.
“What do you mean?”
“Instead of killing him like we’ve planned…how about we abandon him.”
“Will that be a good idea?” He asked.
“Of course. Look around we can’t find him anywhere… It’s not like I intentionally left him, he wandered off on his own will.”
Jackson thought for a while before grinning and bringing Hwasa into his arms. “You are one smart bitch .”
“Hey, do not call your girlfriend a bitch.” They both started laughing.
“I’m sorry ma’am.”
“So since we are here, how about we have a date?” She raised a questioning brow at him.
“Um…not a bad idea but how about your sister?”
“What about her?”
“You were the last person with her son, remember?”
“Fuck! I didn’t even think of that. We need to find her now.”
“And?” He pressed on.
“We are not killing him, Jackson and neither are we abandoning him.” She said.
“So wait, you are going to let all of our hard work go to waste?”
“You just reminded me of that simple fact, Jackson. Don’t tell me you still expect me to go on with the plan even when we know fully well that it will still backfire back at me.”
“We…okay, fine.” He said, throwing his hands up in the air as if in surrender. “Let’s find him then.”
Hwasa quickly run away in search of her nephew while Jackson quietly brought out a gun from his pocket and stared down at it with a smirk on his face.

*THIRD PERSON POV*
“Hi.” Eva greeted walking towards Soo and Liam. “Are you the ones looking for me?”
“Oh, yeah.” Soo answered, getting off the car alongside Liam.
They had asked a guard to help them call Soo out from the palace. The guard had refused at first but immediately they showed him their IDs, he had no other option than to do as they’d say.
“What can I do for you, please?” Soo asked calmly.
“You didn’t ask who we were.” Soo pointed out.
Eva smiled. “I know. The guard told me.” She replied.
“Oh. The guard.” Liam said in a whisper. “Anyway, I think we should go straight to the point instead of beating around the bush, right?”
“Okay?”
Soo took out the silver necklace and showed it to Eva. “Is this yours?”
Eva stared at it for a while before nodding her head. “Yeah.”
“You don’t look surprise to see us with it. Why?”
“Well…maybe because I know the detectives are with it.” She said with a shrug.
“Oh…wait minute, he told you.” That wasn’t a question but an affirmation.
“Hyunjin will tell me everything, detectives. I’m his girlfriend, remember?”
“What did he tell you?” Soo asked.
“I would have explained everything but no, I will cut the long story short…you guys suspect me of being a spy for the murderers, simply because you found my necklace in the crime scene.”
“And are you?” Liam asked.
Eva let out a deep breath, folding her arms over her chest. “Let’s assume I’m really the spy and the one who killed Milady and hit the prince’s head…do you think you would have found my necklace? What stupid killer will make a deadly mistake like that?” Neither of them said a word. They were completely speechless. “Yes, that’s my necklace which got lost the next day my boyfriend got it for me.”
“You lost it?”
“Yeah. Listen, I don’t know where you guys found that necklace but whoever left it in that crime scene stole it from me.”
“When you lost the necklace, what did you do?”
“Nothing.”
“Nothing?”
“I thought it was my mistake. I thought I was the careless one who misplaced it, okay? I can’t just go over to meet the maids and start questioning them about my missing necklace or can I?”
“Not exactly. But now that you know someone did took it, who do you think it is?”
“Lisa.”
“Why do you think it’s her?” Liam asked quietly.
“Who wouldn’t want to implicate a boyfriend snatcher?” That was a rhetorical question. “I stole her boyfriend…that destroyed our friendship. She hated me. I apologized to her but she turned a deaf ears to my pleading so I decided to drop it. And suddenly, a month ago after the death of milady…she came to make peace with me. I found it strange at first but now I know why.”
“Wait, you both were friends?” Soo asked.
“Yeah. Or didn’t she tell you that?”
Liam knitted his brows at Eva. “You knew we interrogated Lisa?”
Eva sighed, bringing her hands down to her side. “I knew when Hyunjin disclose that piece of information, you were either going to come to me…or go to her.”
Soo gasped suddenly. “You were the one who told Hyunjin to tell us, weren’t you?”

“Jimin!” Hwasa kept calling, searching everywhere from her niece.
Suddenly, a gunshot was heard, everyone started running, carrying their children and leaving the amusement park.
Hwasa’s heart skipped at the sound, her mind quickly went to her nephew.
*Jimin is lucky to have an aunt like you. I know you will always be with him and protect him.* Her sister’s words played over in her head.
How could she have been so greedy and careless?
How could she have been this mean and heartless?
What did that little child do to deserve this hatred from her?
If there’s anyone to face concerning the throne then it should be the king and not her nephew…or sister.
“JIMIN!” She yelled at the top of her voice, already crying.
The whole park was scattered, everyone were running out but Hwasa was rather running further in.
She arrived at a secluded area and found her nephew, lying on the ground, unconsciously alongside the kid he had gone to meet earlier when he went missing.
Hwasa mouth was hanging open at the sight presented in front of her. She looks ahead and found two women who look so much alike, staring at the unconscious kids with their eyes wide open.
She looks further more and saw a girl holding a gun over a man’s head.
“What have you done!?” One of the woman yelled, running towards a lifeless man, crying.
“I…I didn’t do anything.” The other one said, staring down at the man as well.
Hwasa looks back at her nephew and the kid and saw a girl stepping away from them.
“Why did you hit their heads!?” The other woman who was holding a gun and who looks so much like the woman crying over the dead man asked the girl.
“They will implicate us.” The girl said.
“We didn’t kill Eunwoo! I… I didn’t shoot.” She said.
Hwasa gaze slowly diverted to a black drum behind them and that’s when she saw…him.
He was staring right back at her, bringing a gun down to his side.
Jackson…he killed the man.

*THIRD PERSON POV*
A car drove towards Soo, Liam and Eva and parked in front of the gate.
The three of them were just staring at the black benz, waiting to see the driver.
The engine went off, minutes later, Jungkook got down from the car.
He reeked of alcohol…it was so strong.
“Jungkook, what are you doing here?” Soo asked.
“I should be the one asking you that.” He said.
“We are here for business.” Liam replied.
“Whatever.” Jungkook diverted his gaze to Eva. “Where is Minnie?”
“You mean the Prince?” He nodded his head ‘yes’ “He’s inside. Is everything okay?”
“I guess? Anyway, go on with the discussion. I will find my way in.” With that, Jungkook walked away and went over to the guard standing in front of the gate…he told the guard something which made him stepped aside for him to enter.
Jungkook walked in and was going towards the double glass door when something caught hold of his hand, stopping him from going inside.
He turned around to find a servant staring at him, smiling.
“Excuse me? Who are you? And what do you want?” He asked.
“I’m Choi, a servant for the prince. I’m sure you are looking for the prince, right?”
“So?”
“Follow me, I will take you to him.” He offered with a smile across his face.

*JIMIN*
“You’ve regained your memories?” A voice asked from behind, disrupting Jimin.
Jimin turned around to find Lisa staring at him with open eyes.
“What is it, Lisa?” Jimin asked.
“Answer me. Have you regained your memories?” Lisa repeated the question again, walking closer to Jimin.
“Is anything the matter? I mean, what’s your business with my memory?” Jimin asked, stepping back away from Lisa.
“Everything is my business with it! You shouldn’t remember anything. That wasn’t part of the plan!” Lisa said angrily, making Jimin flinched in surprise.
what’s going on here?
Why does Lisa sound so different and strange?
Why does it feel like it’s a monster that’s facing him right now?
Why does his best friend sound like a monster?
“Lisa… what’s wrong with you?” Jimin asked, still going backwards. “Why are you sounding this way? You are scaring me.”
“Scaring you?” She scoffed. “Does it look like I’m scaring you?” Lisa smirked, taking out a knife from her pocket. “Then what are you going to say about this?”
Jimin gasped in shock. “What are you doing, Lisa? I…wait, you were the one?”
“Took you sometime to figure me out, prince.” She was still going closer to Jimin, holding out the knife. “Do you know how long I’ve waited for a day like this to come? A day when I finally take off my covers and take back what’s rightfully mine!”
“What are you talking about?”
“I’m talking about everything!
Everything your father snatched away from my father. I’m talking about the throne.”
“My father didn’t take anything from your father, Lisa. Besides I don’t even know who your father is!” Jimin said, hitting his back against the huge family photo.
There was no escape for him anymore.
There was no way out.
“JACKSON!” Lisa yelled angrily. “Jackson is my father, you moron.”
“You mean, Aunt Hwasa’s boyfriend?” Jimin asked in surprise.
“Now you remember. Tell me, what do you remember?”
“That’s none of your business! Stay away from me!” Jimin replied, looking around to see if he could spot out any weapon but he was defenseless. “But why? Why did you have to kill my aunt? Why did you have to do that!?”
“She was getting in the way of our plan. So dad asked me to take her out. Although it was very difficult for me to convince him to take her out but finally, he listened to me.” She smiled.
“YOU BITCH! I TRUSTED YOU! YOU WERE MY FRIEND!” Jimin said in anger.
“Friend?” Lisa scoffed. “I was your maid, Jimin. Your fucking maid. Do you know how much I hate you?”
“How can you do this to me? How can you be this mean? What did Aunt Hwasa ever did to you? Why did you have to kill her?”
“You are only speaking for Aunt Hwasa but you aren’t talking about yourself, prince.”
“What do you mean?”
Lisa tilted her head to the side, smirking. “Who do you think shot you in the eyes, prince?”
