CHAPTER 5

               ~....Addicted….~

*JIMIN*

“Oh my God, Where the hell have you been?” Hwasa let out a breath of relief as Jimin walked into the house alongside Bobo, his dog pet. Hwasa have been worried sick about her nephew, she even thought of calling the police to inform them about the prince's disappearance but Lisa had talked her out of it.

Jimin walked over to the couch, using his helping stick to find his way, as usual. He had gone out to get some fresh air, though it was late but he just needed some time alone and the only way he could get that was by leaving the house. He was tired of hearing the footsteps of maids and guards lurking around the environment. Eventually he ended up dancing in the beach, it was his usual spot for dancing, especially when he wants to make out a new move, the ocean and the winds were always there to guide his steps.

“I Just….”

“Did you go out to dance?” His aunt asked, surprising Jimin in the process. Jimin doesn’t remember telling Lisa or his aunt about his whereabout so how come his aunt was able to guess right about his whereabout?

“I…how did you know?” Jimin asked.

Hwasa gasped. “You really did went out to dance. Are you crazy? How can you go out by this time to dance? Do you know how risky it is? And for Pete’s sake, you are bleeding.” Hwasa walked over to Jimin and sat down beside him. She lifted Jimin’s legs up and placed them across her lap. She took off his dancing shoes and called out to Lisa. “Get me a bowl of hot water so I could use it to wash his feet and also bring the first aid kit along.” Hwasa instructed Lisa. Lisa bows her head in respect before walking out to do as she was told. “Why did you go out to dance by this time?”

Jimin sighed. “I just needed space and time to think. And dancing seems to be the only thing to make me think.”

“You could have danced in your studio room without going out this late.”

“The footsteps of the maid and guards were invading my privacy.” He justified.

“You could have asked them to keep it down.”

“Aunt, even when I wasn’t blind I still enjoyed going out to dance. I might be blind but I can’t stop doing what I’ve always been doing.”

Hwasa was going to talk when Lisa walked out of the kitchen, she was holding a bowl of water while another maid followed her from behind holding the first aid kit, they dropped the things they were holding on the table in front of Hwasa and Jimin. Lisa tried helping out in cleaning Jimin’s wound up but Hwasa waved her off. They were finally left alone.

“Being able to see and being blind is two different things, Jimin. Yes, you are so use to going to the beach to dance especially when you are in need of making new moves but it have to change. You…”

“I’m blind.” Jimin cuts in, completing the statement of Hwasa. Hwasa said nothing, indirectly confirming what Jimin had just said. “I know I’m blind, aunt. You don’t need to keep reminding me that.” He dropped his legs to the floor, getting up to his feet. “Like I’ve said I won’t stop doing what I’m already so addicted to. And you know it, whenever I get to love something, I get so addicted to it and giving it up will always be a problem even though I change.” He clenched his helping stick in hand and started walking away.

Hwasa let out a deep breath as she stood up to her feet. “You are going the wrong way.”

“I KNOW! I’M JUST SO PISSED!” Jimin said before turning towards another direction. It was the right one this time around.

*HWASA*

The sound of clattering was what woke her up the next morning. She quickly jerked out of bed and ran out of the room on bare foot. She went straight to her nephew’s room only to find him fast asleep. She let out a breath of relief before going back to her room to put on something on her feet, she brushed her teeth, then went downstairs to the kitchen.

Lisa and some other maids were busy in the kitchen. While two maids were picking up broken glasses from the floor.

“What happened here?” Hwasa questioned, brows furrowed in confusion.

“I’m so sorry, I’d mistakenly dropped this plate. I’m so sorry.” One of the maids that was picking up the glasses pleaded in tears.

Hwasa shook her head. “It’s fine. Just make sure to pick every single glass from the floor, okay?”

“Yes ma’am.” The maid responded, letting out a sigh of relief and gratitude for the fact that she wasn’t going to get fired or punished.

“What are you making?” She walked towards the maids that were busy cooking.

“The prince’s favorite.” Lisa responded with a smile on her face.

“Alright.”

Hwasa walks out of the kitchen and was heading to the staircase when a guard approached her. He bowed his head forward showing the sigh of respect to her. She was the aunt of the next king in line so she deserves to be respected and acknowledged.

“What is it?” She asked.

“There are some men here to see the crown prince.” The guard said.

“Some men?” She questioned.

“Yes ma’am.”

“Alright. Tell them to wait and that the crown prince will be there with them shortly.”

“Okay ma’am.” The guard bowed once more before running out to deliver her message to the men.

Hwasa stood still staring at the door to which the guard had just passed through in confusion. Ever since Jimin lost his sight, he has never mingled with anyone. He doesn’t even have friends anymore. He hates socializing with people so who the hell are those men out there to see him? Or wait, could it be what she’s thinking? Could the ministers be here to talk about Jimin’s health? Oh no she has to do something really quick.

Hwasa walks out of her room already dressed up for the day. She made her way to Jimin’s room. She knocks softly in the door before walking in. The curtains were still drawn close, for a while she thought Jimin was still asleep but the bed was obviously empty and she could hear the running of the shower.

She pulled the thick curtains open to let sunlight into the room. She walks over to the closet and began searching for an outfit for Jimin. She was the one in charge of what Jimin wears. If she wasn’t available then Lisa takes the responsibility. Aside from the both of them no one was allowed to come anywhere close to Jimin unless they were been asked to.

She finally found the perfect outfit for Jimin to use to meet with the ministers of the country. Not every one of them knows about Jimin’s condition but those who knew agreed to keep it a secret from the people until he regains his sight but it was taking so long for Jimin to regain his sight. It’s been up to five years and they haven’t heard anything but his health or who will rule them. They were running out of patience and now they are here to find answers to their questions. Well, those were the only thing Hwasa could make up from her confusion.

After a while, Jimin walks out of the bathroom. “You are late.” He said, making his way towards his bed. He expected his aunt to come before this time and he was quite surprise but grateful that she wasn’t the first person he saw when he woke up this morning as usual. He loves his aunt so much and can do anything for him but sometimes she can be so annoying and frustrating.

“I’m sorry. Here” Hwasa handed Jimin the outfit she had picked out for him. “Do you need help_”

“Don’t make me feel worthless, aunt.” Jimin cuts in with a note of warning.

“Sorry. I was only just trying to help.” Hwasa shrugs.

“I can handle things like this. And if I need help in anything, I will ask for your help or Lisa’s.”

“You rarely ask for help, Jimin. Even when you are dying and you are in need of help.” Hwasa points out.

“Well…I…What did you pick out for me?” He asked changing the subject. Hwasa knew what he did but decided not to push it.

“A blue shirt and black pants.” Hwasa replied.

“Thanks.”

Jimin began putting on his outfit right in the presence of his aunt. It’s not like he cares that his aunt could practically see his nakedness. Besides she had been the one to bathe him those times when he was still getting use to being blind. The room was so quiet and if it wasn’t because Jimin could hear another breathing aside from his own, he would have thought his aunt has left the room.

“Ah, that reminds me, you have some visitors.” Hwasa said, breaking the silent.

“Visitors?” Jimin dragged, confused.

“Yes.”

“Do you have any clue on who those visitors could be?”

“Well, I guess it’s the ministers” She began. “They might be here to talk about your health and who will fill in the throne while you regain consciousness…do you need help in that?”

”Oh, yeah.” Jimin said as he kept struggling with his shirt. Hwasa walks over to him. “Thanks.”

“What are you going to do now?”

“I’m Just going to do the right thing. I can’t regain consciousness for now due to the fact that the doctors are still looking for means to help me regain consciousness and the city can’t keep waiting for me. Someone needs to fill that sit while I regain consciousness and I think I know who exactly it should be.”

“Who do you have in mind that I do not know of?” Hwasa asked.

“Well, you’ll see.” He smiled. “Anyway, let’s go attend to our guests, shall we?”
