Roman's POV
After all the stress from the party, I realized things were going to get hectic. My team has to understand that it will get crazy on the inside, but we would be fine.

I sat in my office, and all I could think about was Naomi. I don't even know how we got here, but she's definitely always on my mind. I haven't even touch Alexa, since all of this happened. Usually, I just say I'm tired.

I wasn't going to change my staff or promote anyone. Except, Naomi she's definitely getting a raise for all of her hard work. She would make an excellent governor. I'm not sure if she would want to be that high in rank.

Mustafa was becoming a thorn in my side. Why was he after Naomi, and when he kissed her cheek at the gala I almost lost it.

I guess one could say I have issues when it comes to Naomi. Should I fire her so we can be together? We obviously couldn't date while she works for me. Ugh, I'm put in such an awkward situation.

Naomi just sent me a bill she wants me to look over and sign that was just passed by the house and senate. It was a pro choice bill and I'm definitely behind that.

My phone rang and saw Alexa's name across it. "Hello.."

"Roman, I have to tell you something."

"Sure what's up baby ?"

"I just got into Georgetown University for their MPA program. I've already put in my two weeks notice in for my dad's office."

"Wow. Alexa that is awesome. What about us though?" I asked, hoping she'd say she's done with me.

"Well it's only for a year. I think we could survive a year apart. What do you think? Should we take a break? Our relationship is pretty new."

"I'm fine with whatever decision you make love."

"I'll be moving next month to start summer classes. Daddy is getting me an apartment in the city. My best friend, Rubia is going too. Look I gotta go. I'll see you the weekend."

"Alright bye.." I hung up. Just when I thought I was getting out of this relationship easy, nope. She's still young and she's only 25. Most likely she will meet some young guy and break up with me.

"Mr. Reigns." I looked up and saw Naomi at the door.

I motioned for her to come into my office. She closed the door behind her. "What can I help you with?"

"There is something I think we should discuss."

Why does every woman in my life need to tell me something? "Fine, what's up? Everything ok?"

She walked over to my desk. "I think we should stop. I mean I think someone caught on to us, and you're going to be with the white girl so.."

"She's moving to DC to get her MPA. We haven't broken up yet, but I know we will. She's leaving next month." Her whole mood changed when I told her that. In all honesty I think she's falling for me.

"I couldn't officially be with you.. Unless I quit. Mustafa is running for office, and wants me to work for him. We could be together then."

Why the hell would he tried to steal her away. "Mustafa ! You're going to leave me for that womanizer. He's just trying to butter you up so you can leave me for him ! I hope you told him no."

"Roman.. I did but if you want to be together. That's our only way."

"He would become governor with you behind him. I've told you before I don't think you know how powerful you are. As much as you used to hate me, I've been grooming you to become governor in the future."

Her jaw dropped at my comment. Honestly, she would be the best governor ever. So no she can't go with Mustafa.

"Stay away from him!" I begged.

"No.. He's a friend. I can go to dinner and play  mini golf with him in public. I don't have to fuck him in a wine cellar. You can't control me Roman."

"You're trying to piss me off huh?" I moved closer to her. "You know that he could never make you cum like me."

She moved away from me, denying my advances. "I'm not doing that with you again." She said, walking out.

Naomi isn't done with me yet and I know it.

Naomi's POV

I stormed out of the office, and went to talk to my girl, Amani. She wasn't her usual self since the gala.

"Amani, are you going to talk to me?" I sat across her desk.

"There isn't much to say."

Everyone in the office is gone to a meeting except us and Roman. He was on a conference call, so he wouldn't be able to hear me.

"Do you love Cody?" I asked.

"You wouldn't understand. I get that he's in a relationship, but we've been messing around for a year now. That gala pissed me off, because he didn't tell me he was bringing her. I get he's dating her to make his family happy, but what about me?" It looked like she's fighting to hold back tears. I really felt her pain.

"I definitely understand where you're coming from. I'm in the same boat with Roman. He gets so upset when I even mention Mustafa's name. Do you think I should try him out just to see?"

"If you want Roman to throw you through his office wall then yes."

We both laughed. "I'm falling for him. I didn't want to, but I am."

"Just be careful.. Dating men in politics in dangerous. Be discreet. You never know he could leave her for you. I think he started dating her to get a rise out of you. They don't have chemistry."

"Maybe, but are you done with Cody?"

"Hell no, the dick is too good to leave. I love him. I couldn't even have a side dude if I wanted. He's got me on lock.."
