You guys can skip this chapter if you want, its only the first two fights we've seen and read so many times. The next chapter is what you really want :)

Ko stood with all the other contestants in the arena where the Final Event was being held. She watched as people from different villages started to fill in the many seats above the fighting arena chatting amongst themselves. Ko looked over at her opponent feeling her gaze and made eye contact. She could see the evil glint in her opponent's eyes but she returned the favor letting out a dark aura around her. Ko always loved her red eyes since it made her look even more intimidating when she glared at someone.

Ko broke eye contact turning her gaze over towards the entrance wondering when Naruto and Sasuke are going to arrive. She noticed the one sound ninja wasn't there either which confused her. She thought Orochimaru would like to show off his disciple showing the world his village wasn't something to be trifled with. Her thoughts were interrupted by a loud bang and shouting. She looked over towards the entrance seeing Naruto running towards them shouting about cows.

The proctor calmed him down saying something to him but Ko was more focused on the arrival of the Kazekage. She looked over at the Sand Siblings seeing them tense as they watched him sit next to the Hokage who began to make his announcement.

"Thanks everyone for coming to the Hidden Leaf Chuunin selection exam! We will now start the main tournament matches between the eight participants who made it through the preliminaries. Please stay and watch until the end!"

"There's something I'd like to tell you before the matches," the proctor said drawing their attention to him, "look at this."

He took out a piece of paper showing the order of the matches. Ko noticed Dosu's name wasn't on there anymore which still confused her. She saw her match was the last match which meant if Sasuke shows up, she won't be fighting her opponent which she learned her name was Airi.

"There have been some minor changes to the tournament, check once again to see who you're fighting." He continued.

"Hey hey!" Naruto shouted raising his hand.

"What?"

"Sasuke isn't here yet, what are you gonna do?"

"If he doesn't appear by the time of his match, he will receive a default loss. Alright guys, this is the final test. This arena is different, but the rules are the same. Now, the first fight, Naruto Uzumaki and Neji Hyuga. Those two stay here while the rest of you go to the waiting room."

Ko and the rest of the genin went up to the waiting area looking down at Naruto and Neji waiting for their match to begin. As soon as the proctor started the match, Naruto vowed that Neji would lose. Neji activated his Byakugan and Naruto made his legendary clones drawing kunai. Ko walked forward towards the railing and sat down setting her legs in between the bars letting them dangle. The sword on her back started to feel uncomfortable so she rested it on her lap.

"Why are you sitting?" Shikamaru questioned.

"It's going to be a while until my match starts. Better to sit and relax instead of standing until my legs hurt." Ko replied as she glanced up at him.

Naruto's clones charged towards Neji but he easily defeated them with only taijutsu. Once the clones disappeared, Neji started to mock Naruto about being Hokage.

"Ugh why the chit chat? This is a battle." Ko complained as she rested her head on the bars.

Naruto responded by creating even more clones attacking Neji once more, but he ran through the crowd of Naruto's attempting to attack the original. Neji ran at the Naruto towards the back of the group hitting his pressure point causing blood to come out of the blonde's mouth. Neji gloated on how he found the original but was dumbfounded when Naruto disappeared. Two Narutos' snuck up behind Neji.

"Heh, the one weakness to the Byakugan, that blind-spot of theirs." Ko thought as she watched Naruto punch Neji.

Unfortunately, Naruto's attempted were thwarted when Neji revealed a technique he kept up his sleeve which made some kind of orb of chakra appeared around Neji as he twisted around which sent both Naruto's away.

"Hm, so a branch member knows of the Kaiten? Neji is very interesting. If only he weren't so loyal to this village, Father could've recruited him."

Neji got into a stance then rushed towards Naruto hitting his chakra points repeatedly sending him to the ground. Everyone thought Naruto would stay down, but he slowly rose to his feet surprising everyone.

"I told you, I'm not good at giving up." He said weakly.

The two opponents started to talk again about Hinata which got Ko's attention.

"What happened to Hinata?" Ko questioned turning her head to the nearest person which was Shikamaru who stood at her right side.

"They fought in the preliminaries and Neji almost killed her." Shikamaru explained.

"Damn, how heartless, attempting to take the life of the same blood." She commented acting like that disgusted her but she secretly hoped Neji could be swayed to their side.

Neji removed his headband revealing the curse of the Hyuga Clan shocking Naruto.

"So that's why Father never went after a Hyuga. The branch family may be weaker and hate the main family, but they are bound by that curse mark." She thought knowing her plans to recruit Neji was useless; he can't even betray his clan even if he wanted to.

"This match is getting pretty boring with all this talking." Ko commented.

"You sure do complain a lot." Kankuro said from behind her.

"Well Kitty, talking during a match isn't exciting. I was hoping to see a good fight not gossip. I was expecting action and some bloodshed."

"Maybe this is the moment you're looking for." He replied as they watched Neji run towards Naruto slamming his hand on Naruto's chest.

"Heh, damn loser." Neji said as he turned away from Naruto.

"D..don't run away." Naruto stammered as he got to his feet.

"He has no chakra left; that kid is done for." Kankuro said.

"Don't underestimate him. He may be an idiot but he has many tricks up his sleeve." Ko defended which shocked her. She wish she didn't care about her teammates but they've grown on her over the almost year they've been together.

Naruto pressed his hands together forming a hand sign summoning his chakra. To everyone's surprise, he managed to summon the Nine Tailed Beast's chakra which also started to heal him in the process. Naruto jumped into the air throwing shuriken towards Neji but they were easily deflected and thrown back at him. Naruto's speed improved since he managed to get behind Neji so quickly. The sound of metal on metal filled the air as they threw shuriken and kunai at each other.

Naruto landed on the ground and rushed towards Neji attempting to punch him once more. Neji used his Kaiten to deflect his punch. As they collided, smoke filled the arena making it impossible to see what had happened. Once the smoke cleared, everyone saw two craters in the ground. Neji was the first to emerge from the hole in the ground while Naruto remained still. Suddenly, the ground began to shake under Neji and Naruto emerged from the hole upper cutting Neji sending him to the ground. Neji attempted to move but that was it, his chakra was dangerously low making it impossible to move.

"Winner! Naruto Uzumaki!"

Everyone cheered for Naruto as he ran around the arena blowing kisses at his fans enjoying the praise. Neji was carried away in a stretcher while Naruto was still gloating. He finally was told to walk up to the waiting area as they got ready for the next match which was Sasuke's. The crowd started to get riled up wanting to see the fight between Sasuke and Gaara.

"Hey Ko! Wasn't my match awesome?" Naruto questioned once he reached the top of the stairs.

"It was alright, but mine will be better."

"Man what's with this guy? Is he planning on not showing up?" Shikamaru sighed.

"What are you talking about? He's definitely going to come!" Naruto reassured.

"He's right, Sasuke wouldn't miss this. He's with Kakashi-sensei who is always late," Ko agreed.

"If he doesn't come, then the plan will..." Kankuro started.

"This is bad, what are we going to do?" Temari questioned.

One shinobi appeared next to the proctor whispering something in his ear.

"Ladies and gentlemen! The contestant for the next match hasn't arrived yet! Therefore, we will push this match back and begin the next one!" The proctor announced which shocked everyone.

"Hey, this means that my match just got one closer!" Shikamaru complained.

"And now the next match! Kankuro and Shino Aburame!"

"I forfeit!" Kankuro shouted.

"Awe you're no fun Kitty, I wanted to see what a real puppet master can do." Ko whined.

Temari opened her fan and flew down to the arena ready for her match. Shikamaru was reluctant to start his match but Naruto knocked him over the railing making him fall into the arena. Before the proctor could start the match, Temari had already begun to run towards Shikamaru. She slammed her fan into the ground but Shikamaru dodged and stood before her. She swung her fan towards Shikamaru who dodged it again and hid behind the lone tree in the arena. Shikamaru sat there observing his surroundings but was interrupted by Temari sending wind towards him.

As the smoke was still in the air, a black shadow emerged from it heading towards Temari. She jumped back from it learning that the shadow has a limit. She used her fan to mark a slash in the ground to see the distance his shadow can go. Shikamaru knelt down on the ground forming some kind of seal and closed his eyes. After a minute has passed, he opened his eyes getting ready for Temari's attacks.

"Looks like you're finally going to be a little serious!" Temari shouted as she readied her fan.

She sent her wind towards him again and he hid behind the tree once more causing Temari to get irritated.

"How long are you going to keep running away?!" Temari shouted as she swung her fan once more.

A kunai emerged from the smoke which Temari blocked with her fan. Soon she realized the faint shadow coming towards her using the walls shadow to extend further.

"Temari! Above you!" Kankuro shouted to her.

Everyone looked up seeing a kunai attached to a parachute coming towards Temari. The shadow of the kunai met with Shikamaru's jutsu which allowed it to extend further but Temari managed to keep out of its range. Temari extended her fan ready to attack him once more but suddenly stopped. Her body started to copy Shikamaru's which astonished everyone.

"I'll show you what's behind you." Shikamaru said turning his head.

Everyone looked behind Temari seeing his shadow emerging from the crater Naruto had dug during his match. Shikamaru started to walk forward making Temari move with him. As they faced each other, Shikamaru raised his arm which made Temari shut her eyes in distress awaiting his next attack.

"I give up," Shikamaru announced.

"W-what?" Temari stammered.

"I give up, the continuous use of the shadow copy jutsu used up all of my chakra. I can barely bind you for more than ten seconds. I had thought up about two hundred moves but it looks like I'm out of time." He explained.

"Winner, Temari!"

"Awe that a stupid ending. He could've at least punched her or something." Ko said.

"Hey that's my sister you're talking about." Kankuro grumbled.

"Hey, I don't care." Ko replied giving him a smirk.
