Areef scrunch his face as sunlight started penetrating through his curtains,he opened his eyes and stood up and made his way to the window..

He looked at the trees twirling and the birds chirping,he leaned on the wall beside him as he looked at the beautiful morning sky..

"Areef it is your first day at work and you are standing by the window,go and bath and get ready":Ammi said from the door..

"Okay Ammi":he said smiling then turned his head to the view outside again..

He exhaled deeply as he made his way to his box to carry out the suit he has bought specially for his first day..

He looked at it for a while then kept it on his mattress..

He turned to the other side if the room and his poems book was sprawled on the table,he made his way to carry it along with his pen..

When promises are no more important,
The meaning of life tends to reduce,
When promises are broken,
Hearts too get broken,
When love is questioned,
Then why will we question tears?,
Crying does not mean that you are not strong,
But it is a way of washing away some memories that glue in your heart,
Somethings cannot be forgotten,
And betrayal is one of those things,
I still love you like I always did but that doesn't mean am not trying to move one which I guess I never will..
Four weeks without you Angel..
And am already breaking into pieces..

He hurled his tears back as he threw the book to the other side in frustration..

Life hadn't been easy for him,Ammi and the twins tried so much to make him happy and bring him out of his broken shell..

"They don't know that am bound to it forever":he said chuckling..

He still doesn't believe that Mirhal left him and he will never believe that she did,yes she is truly married but that cannot let him forget the way she looks at him with so much love and adoration,he can't forget the spark in her eyes when he smile,he can't forget all the thing she have done for him,all the happiness that she bought into his life and the sadness that she washed away from his life..

He cannot forget that she helped him when he need help the most,she gave him a shoulder to cry on when no one noticed the pain behind his smile,she is the reason why everything is back into place..

He faced his dreams because of her,he was always facing his responsibilities but she made him understand he need to fulfill his dreams before he fulfill his responsibilities..

How on earth can he forget her

Everyone is telling him to forget her thinking that it is easy but no he knows that she have a reason for leaving him behind,their love is not just love,it has many meanings they understand each other,support each other and value it..

He wiped the tears that were cascading down from his eyes as he sadly smiled and stood up to make his way to the bathroom..

He finished taking his bath then came out of the bathroom and did all the necessities before heading out..

"Ammi am done":he said smiling at his mom who was looking at him in awe..

"Come and take your breakfast":she said pointing at the yam on the plate with a cup of tea..

"Ammi,you know I don't eat food when am nervous":he said frowning a little..

"And you know that I won't let you go out without eating":She said dragging to the chair..

"Now open your mouth ahh":Ammi said as carried one yam..

"Ammi am not a baby please":he said laughing..

"You will forever be my baby":she said smiling..

"Yes but not like baby as in baby":he said not making sense..

"You are getting late":she said smiling at him..

He ate his food in silence as Ammi kept looking at him..

"Am so happy that you have finally found a stable job":She said fixing his tie..

"Am also happy Ammi":He said smiling as he walked out after their good byes..

He hopped on his new black scooter which he boight after coming back from Lagos,he have earned alot from his Lagos trip..

He drove to the office thinking about different random things but most importantly one question kept hopping up and down in his mind..

What Mirhal's main reason was?
