Here's your update!!

I was sitting at the corner seat, tears flowing down continuously from my eyes, suddenly a glass of water was forwarded towards me

" Leave me alone" I said trying to push back the glass

David sat beside me and forced the glass into my hands

" Just drink, it will make you feel better" he said loosening his already loosened tie.
I took some small sips of the water, which felt like heaven to my dry throat.

" You should go back to the penthouse" David suggested, he looked tired.

" And leave Kartik here, never, not until I know if he's at least alive or not" I said with a stern tone

" We'll inform you, as soon as the doctor will inform us" David tried to convince me again

" I can help Kartik, you know that" I said again

" He has lost lots of blood, and you can't do it here, we can't risk that" David said

" Then let's take his body back home, I can help him there" I said determined again

" Let the doctors do whatever they're doing, then we'll see" David said again,
" now go back to the penthouse and change your gown and rest for awhile" he said and then dragged me to the main gate where a car was waiting for me.

I sat in the car unwillingly, if only I had not been scared, I could have saved Kartik and Tyler, Kartik was right I have to give up this fear to do something.

Flashback

" Why are we going to this ball?" I asked for the fifth time maybe

" Can you just shut up" Kartik said glaring at me

" Well I won't, because I was dragged here unnecessarily" I said folding my hands near my chest, I can hear Tyler and David giggling from the front seats

" And you both better not laugh, or I'll use my power and rip your voice boxes out from your throat" I said in another threatening tone, they both gulped visibly

I'm so tired going to these balls or parties, because something or the other happens for sure, Kartik took my arm under his, here we come another disaster.

The ball has not even reached its climax and a gunshot is heard, here we go again, but this time when I saw  the source of the gunshot and it's target, my world stopped.

I ran through the crowd, pushing whoever was standing in my way, and hugged the lifeless body on the ground, his blood was everywhere, on the floor, my dress and hands.

" Wake up!!" I said shaking his body but nothing happened

And the next thing I know all hell break loose.
