Kartik's POV

" You sure she's in that building?" I said pointing at David's old house

I looked at Tyler and then at David who also looked confused. Lucas was sitting silently observing the situation, I can't blame him though.

" Yup, I'm never wrong" Tyler said and got out of the car to scan the area from his tab to look for any heat bodies inside the building

" So how are we going to do this?" David said standing beside Tyler

" We attack" Lucas said out of nowhere

" Ya we know that, what is the plan" Tyler shouted the last part out of frustration

" Call our men Kartik, I'll explain everything" Lucas said as he took out his own gun.

" No way!, I'm not gonna let you sacrifice yourself or anyone here" I shouted at Lucas, but he gave me a determined look

" Fine!, But don't die" I said giving in and looked at everyone, I trust Lucas.

We have already positioned our men to attack on my signal, Tyler as always was rapidly typing on his tab to find more weaknesses of the building and David was helping him as he know the layout of the house. According to him Naira would be in basement where they used to keep the prisoners.

Lucas took out his phone and called Megan, she picked up after two rings and Tyler immediately started tracking her location in the building.

" Hey, how are you?" Lucas asked in a cheerful voice

" I'm busy Lucas right now, anything important you need?" She asked with a bored tone, hurt was visible on his face.

" Nope, nothing, continue with whatever you're doing" Lucas said and disconnected the call and then looked at Tyler who in turn gave him a thumbs-up, which means that they know where Megan is.

" Let's go then" David said

Megan was on the ground floor, in the third room from the main entrance door.

" Follow me, I know a secret route" David said and we all nodded and followed him, normally I'm the one leading the group, but right now the situation is different.

We entered the building through the greenhouse, which was crawling with insects and whatnot. As soon as we entered the main building, a bodyguard saw us, before we can react he fell on the floor with a thud, I saw Lucas keeping his gun back

" Bloody people, always come in between the mission" Lucas said.

We entered the room, and saw Megan talking with someone, who's back was facing us. Tyler closed the door behind us which alerted them. They immediately stood up and the man took out his gun. It was Xavier.

" I can see how much busy you are" Lucas said and shooted Xavier on his leg, he groaned and immediately started putting pressure on his wound.

" Lucas....." Megan was only able to say this when Tyler cut her off in between, " Don't play your mind games"

" What are you doing in my house?" David questioned Megan, but she just stood still, too shocked by whatever is happening

Suddenly the door opened and an old aged man came in, it took me a while to recognise him and then I slowly looked at David, colour was drained from his face, he looked afraid for the first time.

Before I can say anything, Tyler gave me the look, I immediately sent out the signal to my men.

" Oh! Son, I missed you so much" Eren said as he moved forward

" Don't move forward, or I'll kill her" Lucas said pointing the gun at Megan

" You won't kill David's sister, now would you?" Eren said calmly

I was shocked to hear the news, what the hell is happening?!!!, The situation was getting out of control, I looked at Tyler who was already busy looking at Eren carefully, he was reading his mind.

" Kill her Lucas, He doesn't care about her" Tyler smirked

Now it was time for Eren and Megan to be shocked

" He's just using her as a pawn in his dirty game" Tyler continued

" Don't say that, you know Naira is under my control right now" Eren smirked

And as if the condition was not worse, suddenly a gunshot was heard and I looked behind me to see David slowly falling on the floor, the red colour was slowly was spreading on his chest, I looked behind and Lucas shooting Xavier for good this time. On cue, Eren ran away with Megan following him and I heard lots of gunshots being fired.

" Kartik, go and save her" David said as he coughed out blood

I looked at Tyler and he immediately ran to the basement with Lucas following him, leaving some men behind with me.

" You!!, Don't close your eyes, why did you try to save me, you idiot" I shouted at him, my own voice breaking at the sight of him, he's the only one left, the only one with good Russo blood in his veins not like his father or mine

" If my legacy is to throw myself in the path of a bulled to save your life, then so be it" David said as he slowly closed his eyes.
