Flashback

" I know who the mole is sis" Tyler smirked

" Don't just stand there smirking, tell me already" I looked at him, narrowing my eyes

" What are you two upto?" Came Kartik's voice from behind the door

Tyler's and my eyes widened in fear, Kartik entered the room slowly and looked at us intently as he closed the door behind him.

" Kartik...." I whispered

" Tyler told you everything, didn't he?" He asked shaking his head and rubbing his temples

I nodded

" I knew it, the way Tyler was looking at me during the dinner, I knew he was reading my mind" Kartik looked at Tyler with a blank expression

" Wait, why are you so calm about it" Tyler questioned him, as I gulped my own saliva due to the fear

" Didn't you both know, my father never really cared about me, If I would have cared about him, that person who had killed him would be 10 feets under the ground right now" he chuckled darkly as he looked at me

" But he was never really my father, so Naira I don't care what you did, I really don't, trust me" Kartik said as he bended to my level and cupped my face

" You don't?" I asked tears streaming down my eyes

" No" he replied

" But I still took a life" I said, regret visible in my tone

" You didn't Naira, Xavier made you do it, and if it makes you feel better, you killed the bad people" Kartik said giving me an assurance

I giggled when he used the word 'bad people' , it's funny to see him using unprofessional terms

" Now tell me who the mole is?" Kartik asked Tyler as he wiped the tears on my cheeks and kissed me on the forehead

" You really want to know?" Tyler asked showing a proud smile, because he knows he can only help us

" You're gonna tell or not, or shall I ask your sister to do something about it" Kartik threatened him, to which Tyler immediately gave in

" Not required, the mole is MEGAN" Tyler said with no emotion

I stood from the couch hearing about it

" You're lying right, stop playing around and tell us already" Kartik asked him again with a small smile on his lips

But Tyler neither smiled nor laughed he just gave a serious expression, Kartik's smile slowly diminished and he frowned.

" But how it can be?" I asked

" I didn't knew it in the starting because there were so many voices around me, but one day I heard a voice saying, ' don't worry Megan, everything's going according to the plan, though Kartik has come to his senses earlier than expected but we can handle that and take over his mafia easily', those were Megan's thoughts which took me sometime to figure it out, as I said I was a mess, but when Naira came back her thoughts became more negative, I was really scared, but it's all good now" Tyler explained his situation

" So Megan is the mole, shit, how are we going to tell Lucas about it" I said as I realized he really loved her

" So all those business trips were actually something else" Kartik said frowning

" Ya, and I picked up one more thing from her thoughts, she serves someone, her boss which we yet don't the identity about" Tyler said trying to think more

" I don't even know his identity, even during that deadly ball, his men were there but he was not" Kartik said as he remembered the ball, which turned out deadly for them

" And that's why my hacking program didn't work, because Megan stole it and gave to her boss, that's why they removed it so easily" Tyler said realization dawning upon him

" We can't just stand here , we need to do something" I said

I was guarding the door, while Kartik, David, Lucas and Tyler were inside trying to break the news to Lucas.
I suddenly heard a shout and a falling of the body, I immediately went in and saw Lucas has punched Tyler.

I went to Tyler and saw his lower lip busted

" Don't worry, I've been through worse" Tyler chukled

" You both freaks, you're now trying to ruin my relationship" Lucas shouted as he came towards me.

I immediately pushed him back with my powers and he hit the wall behind, but that man stood up immediately and was ready to attack me again

" Lucas just trust her, don't make it hard, learn from me" David said making a face towards me

Kartik chukled remembering, what I did to David when he attacked me.

Suddenly Lucas was Infront of me, I used my powers and lifted him up, he was now flying in the air

"Lucas listen to me carefully, Megan is dangerous, you have to trust us" I said the most obvious thing

" And what's the proof, that dumb Tyler's mind" Lucas shouted

" You hurt my feelings" Tyler dramatically gasped as placed his hand his heart, to which we all chukled except Lucas

" Fine, then call her so called office and ask for her, anything" Tyler shouted

I looked at him giving the look 'what the hell are you doing' , he just smiled, maybe he knows what's going on inside Lucas's mind.

" Ok, first put me down" he said a little freaked out,I immediately withdraw my powers and he fell with a thud

" Oops!" I giggled

He stood up, straightening his suit and went out of the room. We all looked at eachother, hoping it goes well. After a few minutes he came back and answer was clear on his face, but he looked broken, tears were forming in his eyes

" I trust you guys" he said and immediately walked away trying to control his sobs

Third Person POV

" She's coming" Tyler said when he heard her thoughts

" Let's put the plan to action, we just need to deceive her" Kartik said

David nodded giving mischievous smile while Lucas gave a blank but scary expression.

Where the hell is Naira?!!!!" Kartik banged his fist on the table loudly

Lucas and David looked at Tyler as well as Kartik, while also keeping an eye on the closed door

" Don't look at me, I can't read her mind remember?" Tyler tried to defend himself, trying to control his laugh, he was hearing Megan thoughts and gave a thumbs-up to continue with their play

" But you can read ours" Lucas said out of nowhere, they didn't expect him to say anything much, but here he was protecting his mafia like a loyal man he is.

"So what If I can?, Ya I told her everything and she chooses to runaway" Tyler smirked as he paced here and there slowly

" You son of a....." Lucas was about to punch Tyler but David stopped him and whispered something in his ear, to which Lucas nodded and backed away.

" What did you exactly tell her" David asked Tyler, narrowing his eyes

" The truth" Tyler said and went out, he took a turn towards the main hall and bumped into Megan

" How did you get hurt" Megan said as pointed at the wound near Tyler's lips

" Don't worry about it, you're going somewhere?" Tyler asked as he pointed towards the luggage

" Yes, an emergency meeting, it's important, please take care of others" Megan gave a tight smile and departed for her flight

" I always have" Tyler whispered, as he saw Megan driving away to give this juicy information to her boss, their plan was a success until NOW.

Many hurried steps could be heard as all of them descended the stairs

" Don't worry, she got the information we wanted to give her" Tyler said

Lucas nodded and went away, they all just looked at him knowing he was dealing with a lot right now.

" I'll go and check on Naira, while you guys prepare for the next step" David said as he went outside.
