First and Last Warning

"I'm scared," Cas whispered against Dean's bicep.

Dean tensed up as he heard another footstep from the floor below. Dean asked, "Are you sure Hannah and Charlie aren't home?"

Cas nodded, brushing his cheek against Dean. "She just texted me a few minutes ago to let me know they arrived safely in New York."

Dean started to stand up and then he heard the front door slam shut. They both looked out the window to see a black figure run across the yard and into a van. Dean picked up a baseball bat for safety and cautiously made his way downstairs. He immediately noticed a note taped to the door. He dropped the bat and ran up to it to read it. He pulled it off, clenching it tightly. It read, "Meet me tonight at 8 at the bridge where you took a little swim awhile back."

Dean's muscles tensed up reading where he had taken a "swim." Cas came up behind him and noticed the note, reading it. He ordered, "Dean, I won't let you go there tonight."

"You can't stop me, Cas."

"Then, you can't stop me from coming with you," Cas flicked his eyebrows up as to say "your move."

"If you get hurt, then I'd never forgive myself," Dean held Cas' shoulders in a death grip.

Cas lifted himself on his toes so his lips met Dean's. He whispered, "I'd take that chance for you."

Dean argued, "I'm not worth you getting hurt for me. I care too much about you to let that happen."

"And I care too much about you to let you go alone."

"I hate how much you care about me," Dean sighed.

Cas chuckled, "I love you."

Dean sighed even louder, "I love you too."

Dean shook his head, "I hate how you're so persistent."

Cas shrugged, "One way to get what I want."

Dean growled in his ear, "I can guarantee there's another way to get what you want."

Dean pressed his tongue against Cas' and his lips followed, crashing with Cas' soft welcoming lips. He tugged at Cas' bottom lip with his teeth. Cas reminded, "It's almost eight."

Dean kissed right below Cas' ear and whispered, "Remember you aren't getting out of this car."

Cas pouted, but nodded in an understanding. Dean had one more long lingering kiss before he finally exited the impala. He walked with his fists jammed into his jacket pockets and leaned against the bridge's railing. His breath shown through the cold winter air as a white cloud escaping into the cold. He waited a few minutes until a voice called from the opposite side of the bridge. "Dean, my boy."

His head shot up, immediately identifying who's voice he had heard. It was his father. As the figure neared, John's truck light shone upon John's face with a devious grin playing. Dean took a step back, nearly tripping over his own feet. "W-what do you want?"

"Well that's simple. I want my wife back."

"She knows better than to come crawling back to you!"

A sinister laugh escaped John's lips, "You got a mouth on you, boy. Considering the last time I saw you you could barely look me in the eye, cowering in terror."

"You abused me! You beat me and almost killed me! Of course I was scared of you! You were worst than a bully! But I'm stronger now! I'm happy and I'm no longer afraid of you!"

"You wanna take bets on this?"

John walked closer and closer towards Dean. Dean swallowed hard and stayed in place. He didn't want to seem weak for moving backward, but yet he was also so scared that he couldn't move. John spoke, "Now tell me, what's your mother's address because I have some unfinished business with that broad."

"Over my dead body would I ever tell you that," Dean retorted.

"More like over your dead boyfriend's body."

Dean looked back at Cas who was standing only a few feet away from him. Dean scolded, "I told you to stay in the car!"

"I refuse to leave you alone with him."

As Dean returned his attention John, he was nowhere in sight. Dean asked, "Did you see where he went?!"

Cas shook his head, "I was focused on you and he was in the shadows at my point of view."

Dean saw another note laying in the snow where John had stood. He jogged over to pick it up. It read, "This is your first and last warning."

Just as Dean read the last word his father's truck drove full speed right at him. Dean dove to the side, but Dean wasn't the target....

Dean looked back and saw the truck hit Cas. Cas' body was limp and lifeless like a ragged doll as it rolled over top of the hood of the car and slammed against the bridge's railing. The white snow was drenched in a red hue where Cas now laid. Dean ran towards him in a full sprint. He desperately searched for a pulse on Cas, but received nothing in response...
