Glancing up at the sky, there were group of clouds passing by. Sun was shining brightly giving the surrounding a positive energy. Birds were chirping, wind was blowing in every direction. A beautiful day to plan for an outing.

Speaking of outing, you and your family, including the Hamadas were in a van, driving your way to the nearest beach. It's weekend and a great time to have some break from the busy weekdays.

"We're here!" your dad said happily as he parked the van.

"Wow! Dad! This place is awesome!" you said, amazed as all of you get off the car.

White sand, crystal clear water, tall coconut trees, wonderful cottages, and a very quiet and peaceful place. Paradise.

"Let's go!" your mom said, leading the way to the cottage.

"Hey, (Y/N).. Thanks for inviting us." Hiro, your childhood best friend, said shyly walking beside you.

"No problem. And it's better you're here. It'd be more fun! Because I believe in the saying, The More, The Merrier!" you said with a chuckle. Hiro chuckled along with you.

"Yeah. Yeah. Right."

"Uhm.. (Y/N).. Can I-"

"(Y/N)! Come here! Help us prepare lunch for later!" you mom suddenly called out.

"Coming mom!" you answered.

"Hiro, let's continue this talk later. Okay? I'll be back."

"Alright." he said. Then you went towards your mom and helped them.

Hiro's POV

Oh my goodness. Why do I felt this way towards (Y/N)? Why do I felt so nervous when she's around? I mean, I'm his childhood best friend. I should be comfortable with her. The way she looks at me gives me butterflies in my stomach. Haha. So gay. But seriously, do I love her way more than friends?

I closed my eyes and asked myself again.

Do I love her?

Tug dug. Tug dug.

All I can hear was my heart.

Tug dug. Tug dug.

Yes. I'm inlove with her.

What should I do now?

Confess my feelings for her? What if she'll say no?

Hide this feelings until it fades away? What if it doesn't?

Time Skips..

"Hiro! Finally! I found you! I thought you were just nearby the cottage." a voice from afar called out. I snapped back to reality and lifted my gaze only to see (Y/N), approaching. Suddenly my heart skipped a beat.

Your POV

"Hiro! Finally! I found you! I thought you were just nearby the cottage." I said placing my palms on my knees.

"Oh.. Have I gone so far? I'm sorry. I was just finding a nice place to watch the view." he said sheepishly shifting his gaze on the horizon.

"It's okay. So what do you want to tell me awhile ago?" I asked, sitting beside him.

Hiro's POV

Just act normal Hiro. She's your friend.

"Hiro? Why are you nervous? I'm just asking." she said.

"Uh- I'm sorry. I just- uh.. Can we take a walk?" I asked.

"Sure?" she said hesitantly.

"Uhm.. About a while ago, I just want to tell you something." I told her while walking along the seashore.

"What is it?" she asked while staring down, watching the waves hitting our feet.

"Ikindalikeyou." I said as fast as possibly I can in a low voice.

"Huh? What did you said?" she said, lifting her gaze. She didn't heard. This is so awkward!

"Uh.. Never mind. It's not that important." I said giving her a sideways smile.

"Hiro.. Just tell me! Even it's not important you have to tell me! I'm your best friend, remember?" best friend. Yeah, right. How many times will this word insult me?

Avoiding the topic, I ran towards the thing that caught my attention. A heart-shaped stone. It's rare! I kneeled down and picked the stone.

"Hiro? What's that?" (Y/N) asked.

I stood up and walked towards her to show and give her what I've seen. But unfortunately, I didn't saw the rock on my way. I tripped on that rock and lost my balance. I felt everything was in slow motion. I fell on top of (Y/N). But that's not the embarrassing part. The thing is, our lips touched in the process. I didn't meant it! Oh my gosh! I'm so dead on her parents!

We stayed still, on that embarrassing position in like, 1 minute, looking into each others' wide-opened eyes. I felt my heartbeat raised a mile per second. I can't breathe.

Shocked, I quickly gathered myself and stood up. I helped (Y/N) to stand up.

"(Y/N)! I'm so sorry! I-I-I didn't meant it! It's the darn rock's fault!" I defended.

"Y-you stole m-my first kiss.. You stole my first kiss!" she said, clapping her hands to her mouth.

"I'm really sorry (Y/N)!"

Blinking a few times, I bit my lower lip and decided to tell her about my feelings.

"(Y/N)," I sighed.

"I like you. Okay? I'm sorry if I stole your first kiss. I really didn't meant it. I ju-"

"Wait. You like me? As in like, you know what I mean?" she asked. I  nodded coyly.

"Yes. I think I started to like you when we were 12?"

"So you have a crush on me for 3 years?" she said. I nodded again letting out a chuckle.

"I thought you already knew it."

"I'm so oblivious. I'm sorry." she said.

"It doesn't matter now. So you already knew it. But I hope nothing will change. No awkwardness between us?"

"No awkwardness. Nothing will change. Still friends." she said giving me her beautiful smile which made my heart melt.

"Can I ask something again?"

"Yeah?"

"Uh.. About being friends."

"What about being friends? Is there- Wait. Are we F.O.?" she said worriedly.

"F.O.?" I asked clueless.

"Friendship Over!!" she said with a slight teary eyes.

"No. It's not what I mean. I mean will you be my.. Girlfriend aside from being my best friend?" I asked, scratching the back of my neck awkwardly.

"Really? Of course! I will! I thought you will never ask me!" she said and hugged me. I was surprised at the moment. She's my girlfriend now! I returned the hug and said,

"Thank you (Y/N). You will never regret this day. I love you." she pulled away and faced me with a lachrymose eyes.

"Hey, don't cry."

"Don't worry, it's just tears of joy." she said reassuringly giving me a sweet smile.

"Here." I said, stretching my hand towards her.

"What's that?" she asked.

"Just give me your hand."

"Okay." she said as she followed what she has been told. I held her hand and transferred the heart shaped stone on her palm.

She pulled back her hand and opened it. Her eyes twinkled at the sight of the stone. A smile of amusement crept on her lips.

"Wow! A heart-shaped stone!" she said.

"Yes. And keep that as a sign of my love for you."

"Aw, thanks Hiro. I will keep this. Promise."

"I love you."

"I love you too, Hiro."

"I love you more." I said giving her a quick but sweet kiss on her forehead.
