"Babe." I nudged Jenny. "Baby, wake up." I kissed her cheek. "We don't want Michael to catch us." I gently pulled her to sit up. Her body drooped and she leaned against me for support, her eyes not willing to open.

It's nine o'clock and I need to get her out of this bed now or Michael will give out shit to us.

"Come on, wake up." I moved her face to kiss her trying to wake her up. My heart was racing, the fear of getting caught with her at it's brink because if we breach this arrangment I know there will be hell to pay.

"I'm awake, I'm awake." She ended her sentence with a yawn.

"Jenny, it's nine o'clock and you for one know if we're caught together we are going to get in absolute shit." I said and suddenly she woke up.

"I don't wanna go though." She hugged me tightly.

"I don't want you to go either but you have to babe." I sighed. "Come on, you better go now." I said and she nodded.

"Niall, I'm only wearing your shirt how will I get back to my room?"

"Just scurry down the hall, come on, you'll be fine." I pushed her to stand up. It's not that I wanted to get rid of her. I needed to. There's a difference.

"Give me a kiss first please." She wrapped her arms around my neck. I kissed her for about ten seconds but had to end it because I was literally shitting myself.

"I love you." I opened the hotel room door. Her face held one of disappointment and betrayal and I felt so terrible that I couldn't fix that frown. I wish I could. I left a quick peck on her lips and she left the room without another word.

I sighed and ran my hands over my face when she left. I was only alone for a few seconds before heard shouting in the hall. Oh God, I hope Michael hasn't found her. I grabbed my jeans and quickly pulled them up my legs, it took longer than usual. I cursed myself for having such skinny jeans.

I opened the room door to see Michael standing in front of a trembling Jenny. Oh fuck.

"Where the fuck were you?" He yelled at her.

"N-nowhere." She whimpered.

"You're wearing Niall's shirt and standing near his room, now were you or were you not in his room last night?" He shouted at her.

"That was my fault." I piped in.

"What?" Michael asked me.

"I just missed her so much I went to her hotel room and took her back to mine." I said. It wasn't true but I would much rather get in trouble than see her getting given out to.

"So this was all on you?" He asked, turning to me instead. Jenny looked at me shocked. I just nodded, putting my hands in my pockets waiting for him to shout at me or threaten me or something but aa the minutes ticked by, nothing happened.

"You shouldn't have fucking agreed." He yelled at Jenny who was being backed into a wall. She looked quite scared. "Why did you let him take you?"

"Jesus Christ Michael, it was my fucking fault, give out to me, not the girl that was lead into this by me." I shouted at him. He ignored me and inched closer to Jenny, just inches away from touching noses.

"You shouldn't hav-"

"Get the fuck off her." I pushed him back from Jenny and stood in front of her, blocking him from even seeing her. I protectively held my hand behind me so they were on Jenny's sides. He is not going to be fucking intimidating her on my watch. "Give out to me, not her."

"Well, you shouldn't have fucking went to get her either."

"I know." I shrugged.

"Then why'd you do it?" He questioned.

"I wanted her near me."

"You know this was wrong?" He asked.

"Yep." I casually replied popping the 'p'.

"And you don't care?"

"Nope." I popped the 'p' again. "Sue me." I cheekily said and he diidn't look happy.

"This is going back to management you know." He inched closer to me this time.

"Don't care." I shrugged. "Do whatever you want, it's not like they can fire me anyways." I chuckled.

"Oh, you've got some nerve on you." He eyed me up and down.

"Sure I know." I smiled.

"Rude bastard." He mumbled.

"Says the one." I fired back.

"You shouldn't be talking to me like this, I will do something about it." He warned. I just acted like I didn't give a shit because that's the best attitude to have in this situation.

"Do something about it then." I said.

"You go to your fucking room and Jenny go to your room too and if I catch you too together again I swear to God, I will have you in diffferent hotels if I have to and I will get your pay cut." He said to us.

"Whatever." I shrugged and walked over but not before kissing Jenny. She whispered a thank you against my lips.

"Niall." Michael yelled, grabbing me harsly and pulling me back from Jenny. I just chuckled and walked on.

"And if you touch or intimidate Jenny again, I'll be going to management because that's harrassment if I am right." I sauntered back into my room. Once I was in my room the Niall I was in front of Jenny and Michael wasn't long diminishing and I was nearly in tears.

Why do we have to do this? Why can't we just be together and be happy again.

Why does life need to be so difficult.

I just wanna feel her soft, moist lips on mine again. I fucking love her lips.

I fucking love her.

Jesus, I have never felt this way about someone before. The funny thing is, you'd think once you found true love that's it, but not in my life, nope, my life makes things ten times more difficult than it actually needs to be.

I bet God is up there, sitting with his popcorn with his feet up laughing at my misery. I guess he likes the entetainment.

"Niall, hurry up, you guys have a meeting now." Michael knocked on my door. I sighed and got dressed. Stupid fucking meetings, I don't understand why I have to be there because in the room with the other five boys I am usually irrelevant. They never listen to what I have to say. Like if I wasn't there they probably wouldn't even notice to be honest.

I grabbed my phone and left the room. I met Louis in the hallways and we walked down the stairs together. "How're ya holding up today?" He asked me.

"Alright, Jenny snuck into me hotel room last night and Michael caught her sneaking out and he went off the fucking nut." I told him.

"He's a physco, I swear, why did they even hire him?"

"To do their dirty work." I said and Louis nodded. I looked up the top of the stairs to see Jenny coming down. "Jenny!!" I smiled and went to run up when Michael appeared behind her.

"No, keep walking." Michael said to me. I give her a small smile and kept walking along with Louis who just patted my back. I tried to get into the same car as Jenny but Michael stopped me and got in with her, directing me to the other one. I glumly walked to it and got in.

"He's a fucking bastard." I sighed.

"Who?" Harry asked.

"Michael." I said. "He wouldn't even let me fucking sit in the same car as her." I sighed.

"He's a dick." Zayn said. "Heard he was giving out to Louis and you, Harry." He said and Harry nodded. I was glad we were finally all agreeing on something. We haven't agreed on something for a while, we've always been bickering. It's nice not to bicker.

"Like I fucking love her and he won't even let me be around her."

"Did you just say the 'L' word?" Harry asked with wide eyes and I nodded. "You love her?" He gaped.

"Yeah." I sighed. "Never loved someone like that before, but I know I do and I don't care how sappy it sounds, I just feel, I don't know, complete I guess when I am around her." I explained.

"This is so cute." Zayn smiled.

"No, not when I amen't allowed to date her." I pointed out.

"Still is kinda cute." Harry said. "Wish I loved someone, all I love is food." He nudged me laughing. Why is he not being an annoying dickhead today?

When we arrived we scrambled out of the car and into the buiding before any fans seen us and we were taken up to the fifth floor of the building to some room for our meeting but poor Jenny was made sit outside.

I could see her through the window of the room. She was on her own and looked a little lonely. I waved out at her and she smiled, looking down at the ground. The boys had started talking but I wasn't listening, I decided making faces at Jenny was more intriging than business talk about our new album.

I stuck my tongue out at her as she sat down on one of the seats. I could see her laughing, her eyes crinkling, beautiful as usual.

"Niall, are you listening?" Julia, the man holding this meeting asked me, though I didn't hear him properly at the time.

"Huh?"

"I'll take that as a no." He sighed.

"Take what as a no?"

"That you're not listening." He said.

"Oh." I said in realisation. "I am."

"Whatever, just stop looking out the window and turn your attention to this, it's important." He said and I nodded, not really taking in what he was saying. I turned around again and seen Jenny watching me. She waved and pulled a funny face, making me laugh.

"Niall!" Julia yelled and I jumped and turned around while Jenny pointed at me and laughed.
. "What are you looking at out there anyways?"

"My girl-" I was going to say girlfriend when I stopped, she's not my girlfriend in real life anymore. Guess I still have to lie to him. "My girlfriend." I quietly swallowed. It nearly hurt me to say it, knowing I am not allowed to date her anymore.

"Oh, does she wanna join us? It's not like this is a secret confidential meeting, least she'll have company." He said.

"Of course she would." I smiled deviously. I stood up and left the room.

"What're you doing out?" She asked me.

"Come on, you can come in." I said, taking her hand.

"What?"

"Oh just shut up you stupid bitch and come follow me." I said and she shrugged and followed me into the room.

"Hi." Julia smiled at her. "Don't be shy, what's your name love?"

"Jenny." She shyly replied, sitting down next to me.

"We're just discussing the next album, you can join in if you want." He smiled. I placed my hand on her knee. I couldn't concentrate on what was being discussed around me, I was too consumed by Jenny who was sititng next to me. She makes my mind go off on a tangent.

After about two hours the meeting ended. Jenny had fallen asleep on my shoulder. I would be sleeping too if I could have, it's that boring.

"Aww, she looks cute sleeping." Louis smiled. I patted her cheek and her eyes slowly cracked open at first then they shot open when she realised she shouldn't have been sleeping.

"Hi baby." I laughed. She gave me a half smile and we stood up.

"I'm tired." She yawned.

"That's what you get for sneaking into my bed in the middle of the night." I nudged her just as Michael came around the corner. I waiited for him to react at what I had just said but he obviously didn't hear.

"I've been looking for you everywhere, where were you?" Michael asked Jenny.

"In the meeting with the boys." She replied, as though it was obvious.

"Didn't I tell you to sit right where you were?" He asked.

"Yeah, but-"

"No buts." He grabbed her arm harshly and went to drag her down the hall when I stopped him.

"Get the fuck off her." I pulled her back to me. "Julia wanted to meet my girlfriend so I was introducing her."

"You broke up."

"She's still hired, isn't she?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Whatever." He rolled his eyes. "You'll do as I say."

"Come on Jenny, let's go to the car."

"She coming with me." He stated.

"Oh and that won't look suspicious at all? My grilfriend not travelling in the same car as me?" I asked him.

"Fine, go with her, Jesus." He sighed, throwing his hands in the air.

"Whoo." I smiled and took her hand.

"He's an asshole." She sighed.

"A big one." I replied. I was just happy we were around each again. Well, for the time being.

We got in our cars and went to stage where we were playing for some TV show. As I was being rushed to get ready I seen Michael grabbing Jenny harshly and pulling her into a room. I couldn't stop him though, I was pushed onstage before I even had a chance to even think about it for too long.

I couldn't stop thinking about her onstage and when I got off I went straight to find her. I did find her but she was very quiet.

"Jenny, why did Michael pull you into the room?" I asked her.

"He wanted to um.." She looked over to her left where I seen Michael. "Tell me what I have to do tomorrow when you have that big show." She said, though her attention was adverted somewhere else and she seemed kind of distant.

"Oh, what do you have to do?" I eyed her.

"I wasn't really listening." She shrugged.

"Okay, give me a kiss." I puckered my lips.

"Oh look-" She pointed behind us. "We have to go." She grabbed her bag and ran after Lou and Liam.

I just shrugged off her odd bahavour.

"Jenny, you're in this bunk." He pointed to the bottom bunk across from mine, under Louis'. "And if I find you two in the same bunk together I swear, I will move onto this bus or I will take you onto the other bus with me." Michael said to her. I smiled at her but she looked down at the ground, not responding to either of us.

"There's no room on the other bus." I pointed out.

"We have two other buses on this tour." He snapped and Jenny jumped. I peered curiously at her.

"Whatever." I rolled my eyes and got into my own bunk.

"Behave or there will be concequences, I'm trusting you two to stay on this bus together." He said and I seen Jenny tensing. Bad idea to trust us though, like we are gonna listen to him.

Once he left the bus I got out of my bunk and crawled into Jenny's where she was.

"Hi." I giggled.

"Niall, the bus hasn't even started yet and you're already breaking the rules."

"So?" I shrugged. "He can sue me, see if I care."

"We shouldn't be doing this Niall." She sighed.

"But I want to and so do you."

"I know, but it's wrong, we're breaking the rules." She pointed out.

"Now when have you ever cared about breaking the rules?" I asked her.

"Since it means I could lose money I need." She said and I was a little shocked by her sudden change of attitude.

"So what are you saying?" I questioned.

"Maybe we should actually listen."

"But then we wouldn't be able to be a couple." I said.

"We're not meant to be a real one, I was only hired to pretend."

"But we're not pretending anymore, we like each other." I reached for her hand but she pulled it away.

"This is so confusing for me." She sighed.

"What do you mean?" I asked her.

"Right one minute I am hired to pretend to be your girlfriend and you hate me then I like you, but you're still a dickhead, then we start to like each other but aren't allowed to date in real life but I still have to pretend in public so I have a question, are we pretending or not?"

"We're pretending but we're not pretending." I narrowed my eyes. This was confusing me now too.

"Should we just stick to pretending?" She asked me and suddenly my smile vanished.

"What are you saying?" I asked her.

"We're not allowed to be together so should we just listen and cool it off for a month or so?" She asked me and my heart sank.

"Why are you acting like this all of a sudden?" I asked her. "It's your fucking fault we're not allowed to date and now you want to 'cool it off?'" I asked her and she hesitantly nodded. I looked at her in disgust. Though I wiped the look off my face when I seen the uncertainty in her eyes.

I know this girl and she doesn't look like she is telling me the truth.

"Jenny, why are you really saying this?" I asked her.

"Because, I don't want any more trouble." She quietly said, avoiding eye contact, looking at the ground.

"You came into my fucking room last night, and now you're saying you don't want any trouble?" I asked and I was just hoping none of the boys were around to hear all this. "You've been distant since the show we did after the meeting, what the fuck is wrong with you?"

"Nothing." She picked at her nails.

"Did you get your nails done?" I asked her, taking her hand totally changing the subject and looking at her nails. They were light pink and one of them was white with sparkles. "They're pretty."

"Thanks." She quietly replied. "I think you should go to your bunk." She said.

"Jenny, please explain to me why you are acting like this all of a sudden? You were fine before I done that show and now you're all of a sudden acting distant."

"Nothing." She said once more. She looked up at me for a few seconds but quickly looked away, though not quickly enough because I seen her eyes watering.

"Thought you loved me." I mumbled, folding my arms.

"I do." She defended.

"Then why are you acting like this?" I asked and she just stuttered a little and gave up, looking down at her hands. "Is there something you're not telling me?" I tilted her chin with my index finger. She pulled out of my touch and looked down.

"No." She basically whispered, then coughed. "No." She repeated more confidently than the first time.

"Don't we love each other?" I asked her.

"We do." She simply replied.

"Then why are you making me cool this off for a while?" I asked.

"Well, we won't be able to be properly happy at the minute, so I was thinking we wait a month or two and then we can be a couple again because I'll have enough money saved." She unconvincingly said.

"Jenny please-"

"No Niall, seriously, can you not listen to me?" She asked. "Yes, I love you but I only want to date you when we can actually date and we can't yet."

"We could if you had of let me fucking pay for you." I abruptly got out of the bunk.

"Niall, wait, come back." She said.

"What? So you can hurt me even more? Have you not hurt me enough for one fucking night?" I asked her and she sighed.

"Niall, you know I love you-"

"Stop it, I know it's hurting your teeth to say that to me."

"Niall, what the fuck?" She asked. I just shook my head and walked on, over to my bunk. I wasn't in it a few seconds before she was in along with me.

"Niall, you know I love you lots and lots, more than I ever loved anybody, I just don't want to make this any harder than it needs to be." She tried to explain.

"Then take my fucking money." I spat.

"You know I can't."

"You can, you just don't want to, there's a difference now get out of my fucking bunk, seeing as we're not allowed to be together any more, under your account." I eyed her up and down.

"Niall-"

"No Jenny, you've broken my heart enough for one day." I turned on my side, pulling the duvet up over my head so she couldn't see me.

Cry.

"I love you." She whispered before she went into her own bunk.

It only made me cry harder. Though I kept my sobs silent, leaving myself to dwell in my own misery and confusion.
