Chapter Fourteen: Pointless Outbursts
"Stay calm and keep your head. Don't lose it when it is needed the most."

The air was crisp as Harry walked past stones with names on them. This place was no foreign to him by now and it was not the most liked place on his list of favourites. Harry could blindly walk through the uneven ground and find his way to Ginny and his parents but he did not want to experiment it by removing his glasses.
When he finally reached the place, he withdrew his wand and conjured a wreath of lilies for his mother and father, placing them just below their names. He spent some time kneeling down in front of them. Then he moved to the next place, placing a conjured baby's breath, Ginny's favourite flowers besides the wild ones. Unbeknownst to him, the baby's breath was well received by the one who it was gifted to.
Harry removed something from his neck and slowly placed it in a box that he withdrew from his pocket. He looked at it one last time, closed it and placed it beside the flowers with a smile. "Take back your treasure, love."
That was all he said before he left the place to never come back again for a while.
Ginny looked at his retreating back before her eyes went back to the box. She kneeled down and picked up a single stem with the pure white flower of baby's breath and used it to decorate her hair. She chuckled to herself at her silliness then picked up the box and lifted it's lid. Inside the box lay the first gift Harry had given her after their marriage - a simple silver chain with a silver snitch. It meant more than platinum to her and she wore it until the end. She resolved herself to would do the same as she locked it around her neck.
Her eyes stared into space. She had no idea what she would do anymore or how she would even get out of this state. She had to reduce her desire to stay on earth but she did not know how to do it. She began seeing black spots - not for the first time after coming back - and she desperately hoped to see Mrs Potter when she would open her eyes again.

Harry walked through the residential street, looking around. Some people were leaving for work as the sun's rays beautifully illuminated the whole town, giving it a distinct glow as it bounced off the roofs. The atmosphere was starting to get more bubbly as housewives came out of their houses for a morning chat with their neighbors. Harry finally came to a halt when he reached his destination. He opened the creaking gates of his old house and walked in. He stopped in his tracks as his eyes found a very familiar four wheeler of his best mate.
"Ford Angelia? Ron is here?" he wondered out loud to himself and approached the car. He tried opening the door and found that it was unlocked. He looked around for his best mate but found no presence. With a swift movement he waved his wand around at the house. "Homenum Revelio." There was no response, adding to his confusion. There was not a single person here. How did the Ford Angelia come here then? Surely James hasn't stolen his wand and did some accidental magic? Harry found such questions flashing through his mind as he looked at the greenish blue car with widened emerald eyes. This car has given him fair amount of familiarity though he had no idea why he felt as such. The green eyed wizard and the greenish car stood at the same place for a good few minutes as the sun warmed the atmosphere.

"Leave it alone, Hermione!" Ron shouted. He was in his bedroom, pacing furiously in anger at himself.
"No I will not! Ronald Weasley you tell me what you are on about this instant!" Hermione ordered. Ron stopped pacing and glared at her.
"I will not. Even if I do, you won't understand!" Ron retorted.
"Why will I not understand? A-are you keeping secrets from me?" Hermione asked in disbelief. Ron did not respond. Instead he resumed his pacing. "Ron. . . Ron?"
"Hermione, I'm telling you, leave it alone before it gets nasty!" he warned.
"Really?! Let's see how nasty it gets then!" Hermione challenged. Before Ron to come up with another comment, he heard the sound of an engine. He ran out of the room, leaving Hermione to shout at him. He ran down the staircase, not even caring to skip the creaking ones. The sound of his nephew, Albus crying was heard before he reached the sitting room. His mother emerged from the kitchens with James and shot a glare at him.
"Ronald Weasley! You do not run down the st-" she started chiding but Ron ran out. He could see his Ford Angelia parked under the very same tree it parked the day before. The door opened and a mop of black hair emerged out of the driver's seat. Ron felt his blood boil as he looked at Harry lock the car and walk to him with a smile. Without even thinking, Ron pointed his wand at his brother-in-law.
"Ron! Ronald!" he heard Hermione scream behind him. She ran to them and grabbed his wand arm as Harry's eyes widened at the magical stick pointed at him. "Put your wand down! What on Merlin has gotten into you?!" Ignoring Hermione's cries, Ron narrowed his eyes at Harry, sparks emerging from the tip of his wand.
"Err, calm down, mate. I am harmless and armless," Harry said gently.
"Why did you take my car?" Ron hissed.
"Pardon?" Harry asked.
"Ron! Put your wan-"
"WHY DID YOU TAKE MY CAR, HARRY?!"
"I-I did not! I found it! In Godric's Hollow! I thought you came there and left it. It was unlocked and the key was inside. I looked for you but you weren't there so I drove it home," Harry replied calmly as if the wand pointed at him was a toy. The words uttered by Harry were still processing through Ron's mind and when it finally did, he dropped his wand. It fell to the ground with a clink.
"Ron?" Harry asked. Hermione was by now crying. His mother stood at the doorway, shocked and too stunned to even move as James looked at his godfather with widened eyes which held fear.
Ron sunk to the ground in despair for he had committed the greatest mistake of yelling at others for the slightest things. His sister was so gone, forever. He would never be able to show her or even tell her that he loved her very much. He would never be able to smile at her or apologize to her for his bad behavior. More disappointing things hit his brain like a fast moving train and he felt weaker by each passing second. He was shaken by Hermione and even slapped by her but he felt numb. His heart had gone numb. Guilt and remorse washed through him. He had lied to his family that he was Ginny in his dream. In reality, he never did. She talked to everyone and bid everyone farewell but not to him. She was angry and she was right about it.
He shook his head. There might still be a one percent chance that she would still be inside the Ford Angelia, smiling and waiting for him to take her out and spend time with her. No one knew about this secret and he wasn't going to let them know anytime soon. He looked at his wife who was now crying and shaking him with pain. He could see her like that so he snapped out of his wave of remorse.
"I'm fine, Hermione. Just shocked. Blimey, don't cry, Hermione. It's hard to see that, y'know?" Ron tried joking and was tightly hugged by the bushy haired witch. He hugged her back and rubbed her back slowly. He looked through her thick hair and could see Harry leaving them. When Hermione pulled back, she started interrogating him.
"What on Earth, Ronald?! Are you okay?" she asked in a concerned tone, wiping her eyes forcefully.
"I'm fine, love. Just shocked. The dream, y'know? Messed my mind up. I-I think I need some time alone with the nature," Ron said and got up.
"I'll go with you," Hermione offered. Ron shook his head. He kissed her and walked to the car. The key was inside. He opened it and acting as much calm as he could, he sat in and turned the engine on. Without another glance at his family, he drove out of the driveway, surpassing several houses until he reached the familiar woods. He forced himself to not look at the mirror until he had full privacy. The tiny shed of hope that his sister would still be there, sitting at the back seat still glowed in his heart.

A strong hand gripped Hermione's shoulder as she sat cross legged on the ground. She looked up to see her pseudo brother. He helped her up and her godson James hugged her legs. She hugged him back and smiled at her mother-in-law, Mrs Weasley who was standing beside Harry.
"Are you okay, dear?" she asked in her motherly tone. Hermione nodded with a smile. Unbeknownst to her, Mrs Weasley nodded at Harry and left with James.
"Hermione," Harry started but she interrupted him.
"I know what you will say, Harry. You did not take the car and Mrs Weasley told me that she heard you apparate. Ron's at fault. I don't. . . I just don't know why he's so clingy about that car! He always spends all his remaining time in the shed and hardly cares about me. . . " Hermione said, her crying face buried in her hands. She felt Harry place a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"I think it holds some sort of connection to Ginny. . ." Harry confessed. "You know? It was the car we brought when-when s-she. . .was murdered."
Hermione shook her head, unaware of any reply she should give. She nodded at Harry to let him know that she was alright before leaving the auror to his thoughts as she walked to the house.
Harry was left with a worried look. He could not watch his best friend brake like this. One moment he was all happy and cheerful and the next, he was sombre and filled with rage. Harry looked up and asked a question to no one in particular.
"What's with my life and sadness?"
There ends the chapter. The story is back to Ron's PoV again ;)
I am so sorry for the late update. I was pretty much lazy to make a new banner for the chapter and so I procrastinated the publication of the chapter.
Fantastic beasts anyone?
Thank you for reading!
