______

Faceclaim : Faith Collins.

Distinguishing features :
- Her bright red hair, which can be easily spotted from far away.

Additional information : Despite being from a lower district, she's regarded as an uncommon beauty, with her fiery hair and striking blue eyes. However looks are deceiving, and her natural charm has been the downfall of many a tribute.

Permanent injuries : She has a long, jagged scar going up her left arm. It's usable, but now after multiple surgeries to fix it it's much weaker than it was before. They came close to having to amputate it, so she's considered fortunate to even have her arm.

SPECIFICS
____

Personality : In a normal setting, Genevieve appears very dainty and regal. At social gatherings she shines brightly among the others, both physically and in her demeanor. She pretends to understand the pains and the troubles of others and appears to sympathize. In the presence of others, she appears to be a lovely, gentle girl. These outwardly things are just a mask, covering who she actually is.

Genevieve isn't bloodthirsty, but she also doesn't hesitate to kill to keep herself safe. She's never been in tune with her emotions and honestly doesn't understand anyone else's. Genevieve has always been very rough-and-tumble, wrestling around with any kid her age who wanted to spar with her. Her mind is always on survival. And while she will make allies, there's a 50% chance she won't stay loyal if she thinks the alliance is no longer beneficial to her.

And while she's quite bold and unafraid to speak her mind, she will put things in such a way that keeps people at ease. She has a bit of charm to her and knows how to use it. Whether it be flirting, or compromising, or things of the like, she'll normally have the preferred outcome. If things become violent, she's quick to "assert dominance", as one might put it. You can start a fight, but she'll finish it.

Underneath all of this, she truly does feel like a child, watching everything fall apart while she just wants to sit in a corner. If she ever slips up, you may catch a glimpse of who she sees herself as: a fragile, lonely, vulnerable girl who's seeking comfort and stability.

Family background : She was born in District Six as the youngest of seven kids, and is one of the only two girls. She and her older siblings were raised by their oldest brother and sister, who are twins, ever since she was 8. Their parents suddenly disappeared one day, presumably in an accident while working on the railroads. Since the oldest twins had just turned 18 and at the time were still living at home, they assumed guardianship of their five siblings so they wouldn't be separated and end up in orphanages.

Growing up with mainly boys around her (five older brothers, plus mainly boy neighbors), she developed many boyish habits. Mainly things that their society would deem unladylike. No sympathy was ever given when she got hurt. She learned from her brothers how to fight and how to conquer. How to treat bloody noses and bruised knuckles. How to never take crap from anyone, and how to defend your people. Looking back, she realizes how they unknowingly prepared her for the Games.

SIBLING COUNT (at the time of Jen's reaping)—
1stborn - Dahlia, 24 female.
2ndborn - Dakari, 24 male.
3rdborn - Erris, 21 male.
4thborn - Jakob, 18 male.
5thborn - Leife, 16 male.
6thborn - Sage, 16 male.
7thborn - Genevieve, 14 female.

Her game : At the age of 14, Genevieve was reaped from District Six with a boy of 18 called Brook. She was wary of him, as he was stern and quiet for a little while.

Before leaving, her sister Dahlia urgently told her the importance of making a good impression on the other tributes and the Capital. As much as it would go against her character, Genevieve needed to act a bit more ladylike. She needed to shine and stick out, and to make people admire her. Not only for whatever abilities she had, but also for her wit and approachability. Scared out of her mind, Genevieve took the advice to heart.

She got to know Brook a little more on the way to the Capital and slowly they earned each other's trust. At that point they weren't completely an alliance, but they had a general understanding between them.

Genevieve was given a score of 9. Despite her age, she had physical strength and some accuracy with knives.

During the bloodbath, Genevieve almost died after snatching a long knife from one of the older male tributes. He swung at her with his other weapon, but she was saved by Brook, her grabbed her and pushed her out of the way. From there they became an alliance, and escaped into the forest together with one other young tribute, a male from District 8.

Seven tributes died in the bloodbath, mainly from the lower districts. For the next two days, it was just Genevieve, Brook, and the male from D8. They didn't come across any other humans during that time, though they did see that three others died. It was agreed that it was best not to go back to the Cornucopia because the tributes from Districts 1, 2, and 3 would likely be guarding it and its resources.

On the third day, they crossed paths with a small group of tributes from D4 and D7. Outnumbered, Genevieve and her group turned and ran, but the enemy alliance followed suit. Genevieve was grabbed and thrown to the ground, and she thought she was going to die. In the process her arm got sliced by one of their weapons. Next time she looks up, Brook is in a fist fight with the guy who grabbed her, and her ally from D8 is being ambushed. She rushed to help D8, accidentally killing one of the girls when she fell and Genevieve tripped, stomping down on her neck. Brook killed the guy he was fighting, and the other two retreated.

A sponsor sent Genevieve medication and bandages that night. Her arm healed partially and could be put back to use, but it was still quite painful and was greatly weakened.

Eventually, it dwindled down to just them and two other tributes. One night, the images of the two dead tributes appeared in the sky, leaving the three of them very uneasy. In the morning, She awoke just in time to see D8 standing over her, holding a knife. She scrambled out of the way and tackled him from the side, yelling for Brook to come help. Genevieve quickly pinned D8 and tried to force the knife in his hand back down towards him. The knife ended up getting thrown away from both of them, and D8 grabbed her by the throat and started choking her. She was quickly running out of air while desperately trying to keep him pinned to the ground. All of a sudden his hands were pried away from her neck by Brook, and Genevieve got knocked to the side. Brook and D8 fought for a few minutes, both going for the throat and trying to kill each other in whatever way possible. D8 suddenly rolled to the side and grabbed the knife, stabbing Brook through the chest. He died there.

D8 quickly advanced on her with the knife in his hand, ready to kill her. Thinking fast, Genevieve scrambled up into a tree as fast as she could. She ascended up high into the branches until she heard D8 coming up after her. She hid in the leaves, waiting. As soon as he got to the branch directly below her, she dropped down on him, kicking him in the back and out of the tree. She only barely survived, clinging desperately to a branch with her arms until she could safely get back down to the ground. When she finally reached solid ground, D8 was lying there, one of his legs contorted in an unnatural way, with blood pouring out onto the rock he'd cracked his head on.

She was crowned the winner and was taken back to the capital, freshened up, and her arm was checked out. She ended up having to have a few surgeries performed on it, since it turned out the wound had become infected.

Personal background up to the present : She returned home to her district and her family for a year after her victory, taking care of them and healing from her injuries. She used her title as victor to get her siblings better-paying, stable jobs. Their connections to her ensured their safety, which was her main concern.

Once she was cleared by her doctors, she was made to go back to the capital. She hates her life there and longs to return back to the familiarity of her siblings and home district. She's somewhat of a celebrity figure in the capital, but doesn't often appear to the public. Though, she learned just how important connections are in the capital, so whenever she does go to events, she always makes a good impression, and has charmed many people.
