The week dragged on as Dark Rose was getting its facelift, but for me, all of it was too small, too safe. I wanted more than a nice little renovation. I wanted something bold-something that could make people stop and stare. And I knew exactly what that was.
The idea was still fresh, almost electric in my mind, as I glanced at the papers scattered across my desk. I called Charles into my office, leaning back as he walked in, looking wary.
"Dark Rose," I said, tapping my fingers on the desk, "isn't just going to be another management firm. I want it to be... an experience."
He raised an eyebrow, a flicker of doubt in his eyes. "Okay, what does that mean?"
I took a deep breath, steadying myself before letting the idea slip out. "A fashion show."
He blinked, like he wasn't sure if he heard me right. "A fashion show? To launch a celebrity management label? And who will be the model, you?" He said, his tone slightly mocking.
"Not just a fashion show." I held his gaze, daring him to challenge me. "An exclusive, invite-only event. Imagine it: the city's elite, big designers, influencers, and maybe even some A-listers in the mix. We draw them in, show them the kind of power Dark Rose holds."
Charles's expression didn't budge. "That sounds... ambitious. And expensive. What if this 'show' doesn't pay off? We're not exactly swimming in funds right now."
"It's not about the funds," I shot back, trying to keep my frustration in check. "It's about creating a brand that people crave. Something they can't ignore."
He crossed his arms, looking unconvinced. "And you think that's worth the risk? What makes this different from every other show out there?"
I could feel my heartbeat quicken. "Because we won't just be parading clothes, Charles. We'll tell a story-a powerful one. Imagine each piece in the collection representing a part of our journey. Struggle, ambition, betrayal, revival. We make them feel it, not just see it."
He was quiet for a beat, probably trying to find a hole in my plan. "All right, but even if I'm buying into this 'vision,' do you know how much goes into a show like that? We'll need top designers, performers, the best venue-people who don't come cheap."
I leaned forward, my voice dropping, giving each word weight. "Then we make them want it, Charles. They don't just design for us; they design for a brand that's about to blow up. They'll want to be part of it."
Charles narrowed his eyes, as if he was finally starting to understand. But still, he shook his head. "If you're so confident, then fine. But tell me this-what's going to keep people talking?"
A smile played on my lips, and I let the silence hang, building suspense. "Because this isn't just about Dark Rose. It's about building something everyone wants but only a few can have. We make it so exclusive that even people with all the money in the world still have to wonder if they're 'in.'"
Charles let out a slow exhale, a glint of reluctant interest finally crossing his face. "All right. You want exclusive? That means security, handpicked guest lists, and a venue that screams mystery. I have a few places in mind, but they'll want more than a flashy pitch."
"Then we give them more." I leaned back, folding my arms, letting him see the confidence I felt. "We build the hype. We seed rumors, leak just enough to make them curious. By the time the night comes, people will be dying to get in."
He didn't respond right away, but I could tell his mind was racing. He finally nodded, still cautious. "Okay. But if we're doing this, I'm talking about full commitment. No half-hearted plans. This needs to be flawless."
"That's exactly the plan," I said, keeping my voice steady even as excitement surged through me. "We're going to make this so big, people won't just hear about it-they'll feel it."
He nodded and turned to leave.
"And Charles?" I called out. He turned around waiting for me to speak of any further instructions.
"It won't be Dark Rose anymore. It will be Eclipse." I say smirking.
"Eclipse?" He asked, confused.
"Eclipse." I nod.
He was confused but decided to leave that discussion for another day. As he left the office, I took a deep breath, letting the satisfaction sink in. We were taking a risk, sure. But if we pulled it off? Dark Rose wasn't just going to be revived to Eclipse. It was going to be reborn as something unstoppable. And, if I was being honest, I couldn't wait to watch everyone fall into the world I was creating.
