Discovering - 1

"My life is a lie," I read out loud, even though there is no one to hear.

The words are simple, yet they send a shiver down my spine.

"My family is not my family. My friends are not my friends."

The cold sensation within my body disappeared as a wave of confusion washes over me.

"My name is not my name. My face is not my face."

With my feeling of confusion becoming so intense that I get a headache, I stop reading.

I stop reading, for now.
