A Week Later - Tsubaki's POV

"COME ON! LET'S DO A HARDER MISSION!" The twins chant as they stomp around me, in the Hokage office.

I rub my forehead in exasperation and I knock their heads together. "I, apologize Lord Hokage, these two are impatient." I say to Lord Hokage as I bow my head in apology.

"It's alright, Tsubaki." Lord Hokage says to me as the boys sit on either side of me.

I look up and I nod. 

"Well since you three have been doing a majority of the D-Rank missions this week, I'll send you on a C-Rank just this once." Lord Hokage says to us amused.

"But Lord Hokage-" Iruka tries to interrupt but the twins cheer.

"Takairo, your in charge and your C-Rank is to go to the south outpost, there are thieves running rampant." Lord Hokage says to our Sensei who just got here.

"Alright." Sensei says to him with a smirk. "You three go home and get ready, then meet at the village gate." Sensei says to us and we nod.

Me and the twins leave and they just cheer until we go our separate ways.

I get back to the house and I pass Father talking to Grandfather.

"Ah, Tsubaki, how are you?" Grandfather asks me.

I nod. "Hello Grandfather, I am well, and you?" I ask him.

"I am well." Grandfather replies.

"Your home early." Father comments.

I nod and I head to my room.

I get ready for the mission and I leave again.

I head to the gates and I wait. 

About five minutes later, the twins get here and then ten minutes after that Sensei gets here.

"Alright, you three, are you ready?" Sensei asks us.

"Yes!" The Twins chorus.

I just nod.

"Tsubaki, try showing more emotion about this!" Hiroko says as he hangs off my shoulder.

"Yay." I say unenthusiastically.

Hiroto hangs off my other shoulder. "Come on, more emotion!" Hiroto cheers for me.

I sigh. "Yay!" I say with fake enthusiasm.

The twins cheer, seeming to buy it.

I shake my head and Sensei chuckles amused. "Alright, we're establishing something, if anything happens to me, like say, I get injured deeply by one of the thieves, Tsubaki will be in charge, and you three are to retreat." Sensei says to us in a very serious tone, which makes the twins calm down. "And, there is one more team coming with us." Sensei adds.

I see Neji, Father, Tenten, Lee, and a bigger version of Lee.

"Tsubaki." Father says to me.

"Father." I greet back and Sensei has annoyance written through his eyes as he looks at my Father.

"Hiashi, why are you here?" Sensei asks him.

"I heard from Lord Hokage that Tsubaki was going on a C-Rank Mission, and requested that Neji's team comes with you." Father says to Sensei.

Me and Neji glare at the ground, knowing exactly what he means and our teams look at us.

"Lord Hiashi, I think Tsubaki is more than capable of going on a mission with us without a second team." Sensei says to Father.

"Nonsense." Father says and leaves.

I clutch my backpack and sigh. 

"Come on Tsubaki! We're doing our first C-Rank!" The twins say, to change the mood.

I look up at them and I nod. "Ok." I say and Neji looks at me in mild annoyance.

We get going Lee and older Lee talk excitedly to the twins.

Tenten and Sensei talk and me and Neji just walk at the back, not talking to each other.

"These two are such gloom!" Hiroto says as he motions to me and Neji.

"No, that's just how Neji is." Tenten says nervously.

"And Tsubaki isn't usually excited about things, she's too serious." Hiroko says to Hiroto.

"I know Tsubaki is serious, but Neji doesn't have to be gloom." Hiroto says to Hiroko.

I walk up and hit the twins on the head as they stare arguing. "Would you two not argue?" I ask them. "Neji has a reason, usually at least." I say and the twins pout.

After a few hours we get to the south outpost and it seems calm.

"You three, be on your guard, I'm gonna check it out." Sensei says to me and the twins.

"So do all Hyuga's brood?" Hiroto asks us.

"Pretty much." I say and I feel Neji scowl on my back as I climb into a tree to keep an eye on Sensei.

Sensei then runs back after about five minutes, being chased by thieves.

I jump down and me and Neji stand up front, our Byakugan activated.

"Hey! Let us be up front!" The twins argue.

"No, now stay back there." I order them and the pout.

Sensei joins us and I pull out a kunai and I deflect a few kunai coming for me. "Alright Tsubaki, you and Neji are up, show us what you've got." Sensei says to me and I nod.

I ignore the fact that Neji is annoyed and I put my kunai away, I pull one hand back with my palm facing out, and my other hand falls to my side, my palm facing out as well.

The thieves get closer to us and I strike them in the chest, easily, probably because I'm small.

"That girl! Get her!" One of the thieves yell, pointing to me.

Neji backs me up as takes out the ones behind me. "Are you so incompetent that you can't get the ones on your back?" Neji asks me.

I scoff. "I could have handled them as well." I say to Neji.

Neji rolls his eyes and I block a kunai coming for Neji with one of my own.

"Your welcome." I say with a slight smirk and Neji grumbles.

We finish with these thieves and Sensei claps.

"Well done." Sensei says to us with a smile.

"I believe I took out more than Tsubaki." Neji says in a cocky tone.

I wave him off. "So what? I doubt these are the only ones anyways." I say to Neji as I kick one of the guys slightly and I turn him over with my foot.

"What makes you say that?" Hiroko asks me confused.

"Look at these guys, they're uniformed, but I don't see a leader." I say and the twins look over my shoulders.

Neji looks at them in shock. "I didn't even notice."

"Good observation Tsubaki, but how do you know there isn't a leader here?" Tenten asks me confused.

"I get it, think about it Tenten, isn't a leader of thieves more flashy?" Lee asks her.

I look at these guys. "Their leader would have more developed weapons, probably a different set of armor, and possibly would be somewhere in the outpost, or have a base camp near it with the rest of them." I say to everyone.

"That is true." Tenten confirms and Guy and Lee start running.

Suddenly I hear a sizzling sound. "Anybody hear that?" I asked and everything quiets.

"That paper bomb sound?" Hiroko asks confused.

"Oh no!" Neji says shocked and a bright light goes off in front of us and we get blown up and we get thrown back.

I hit a rock and I slide down onto the ground, my vision gets dark but before I black out I see a tall guy, dark skin, just like I predicted, better armor and better weapons.

I wake up sometime later and my hands are chained behind my back and I've been stripped of my weapons.

I don't see anybody else though.

I sit up and I try to activate my byakugan, but I can't, my eyes hurt too much.

"Oh good, she's awake." A thief says in a cocky tone.

I look at the door and I see the leader and a group of thieves behind him.

The leader comes in and he bends down in front of me. "So, sweetheart, what's your name?" The leader asks me.

I don't have much of a choice but to cooperate, it would be bad if I disobeyed, I could get hurt or worse.

"Tsubaki." I say and the leader nods.

"My name is Bruno, the second in command of this thief unit." The guy says to me with a smirk. "Now, I was watching you and your friends, your pretty skilled, you look like a fresh Genin though and from the Leaf." Bruno says to me.

My eyes harden a bit. "And may I ask what your point or problem is?" I ask him, while trying to remain calm.

"What are you Leaf Shinobi doing here anyways? Don't you know this is our turf?" Bruno asks me.

"We're on a mission to wipe you guys out." I say to him and he smirks.

"Then I should kill you now." Bruno says as he lifts my chin to look at me. "But your pretty, and you have the Byakugan, you'll be useful bait for your friends." Bruno says to me as he lets my face go.

I look up at him in mild annoyance as he gets up. "They're stronger than you think, you only saw me and my cousin fight. You didn't see our Sensei's fight, or our teammates, Tenten is one scary Kunoichi with her Nin-Jutsu, and Lee's Gen-Jutsu is something to be feared. Hiroko and Hiroto are great with weapon combat, and our Sensei's are Jonin, you wouldn't last against them. Second in command or not." I say to him as he leaves.

"I'll keep that in mind." Bruno says to me, very cocky and he leaves.

I end up sitting here for five days before this place is attacked.

I look up in confusion.

"TSUBAKI!" I hear the twins and Lee yell.

Relief courses through me, but before I can yell out, the leader, Boris, puts a gag in my mouth and forces me up and to walk to where he wants me.

I glare at Boris who smirks down at me. "What? Have a problem?" Boris taunts me.

I just glare at him and he pulls the gag out of my mouth. "Your so going down." I say to him and Boris just smirks.

"We'll see about that, you see, I have thieves placed everwhere here, one wrong move from anyone but me, they'll kill everyone." Boris says to me.

"Nobody who came for me, would ever die from thieves." I say to Boris and he just smirks.

The twins break through the door and  they see me, with my hands cuffed behind my back.

"Tsubaki!" Hiroko says in relief.

"Thank god your ok." Hiroto says to me.

Neji, Tenten, Lee, Guy and Sensei get here and I just glare at Boris.

"As soon as these cuffs are off me, I swear on the name of my mother, I'm so gonna kick your ass." I say to Boris.

"They're not gonna come off you sweet cheeks, your all gonna die." Boris replies with a smirk.

"Tsubaki you idiot, how did you even get caught?" Neji asks me annoyed.

I scowl at him. "Excuse me for hitting my head on a rock after getting blown up by paper bombs." I say to Neji sarcastically.

Neji scowls at me.

Hiroko attempts to take a step forward, but a kunai gets thrown in front of him, stopping him.

"Make a wrong move and your all gonna die." Boris says to them with a smirk.

Sensei disappears without much notice from Boris, but I notice.

I keep an eye out and suddenly I'm not where I was before.

I look around confused.

"There we go, your safe again." Sensei says behind me and he breaks the cuffs off my hands and I rub my sore wrists.

"Thanks Sensei." I say to him and he nods.

I stand up and we head back.

I hit Boris with a gentle fist attack to his chest, and he coughs in shock.

"What the hell? How did you escape?" Boris asks me as he stumbles back.

I glare at him. "I'm beyond angry right now." I say and the twins cheer. "Oh would you two be serious?" I snap at them and they nod.

I fight Boris while the others fight the thieves in hiding.

I hit Boris with a 64 palm and he falls to the ground, unconscious.

I breath heavily and I see a Kunai going straight for Neji's blind spot.

My eyes widen and just make it in time for it to hit my shoulder.

I wince and Neji spins around in shock. "Your welcome." I say to Neji and he just stares at me in shock.

I pull the kunai out of my shoulder and I throw it at the thief and he falls to the ground, probably dead.

"You idiot!" Neji says to me in shock.

"Oh what was I supposed to do? Let that Kunai hit your blind spot?" I ask Neji in annoyance.

Neji and I end up bickering about this and I end up scowling at Neji as well take down the rest of these thieves.

"These two, there's so much tension." Tenten says surprised.

"They're from two different branches, Tsubaki from the main branch and Neji from the side, so its understandable." Sensei says to her.

I finish the last guy and I hold onto my shoulder.

"Can you for once, not get injured trying to help me?" Neji asks me annoyed.

"Are you kidding me?" I ask Neji in mild annoyance. "What is so wrong with helping? Huh? You have a problem with me helping you?" I ask Neji.

"You from the main branch, your not supposed to help me." Neji says to me.

I whack him on the head with a stick and he holds his head in annoyance. "I'm your cousin, you idiot. Branches can go away, our fathers were brothers and that makes us cousins, so I'm gonna help my family." I say to Neji, getting really annoyed by his attitude.

"You main branch are so arrogant." Neji mutters.

I get very ticked off by this. "Why would you say that?" I ask Neji in a calm tone.

A shadow hovers over me and me and Neji look at each other, and I know I'm about to be in some deep trouble.
