The Next Day at 6:30 - Tsubaki's POV

I walk out of my room with a small stretch and I head to Hinata's room to see she's not here. "Ok then." I say and I head to the door.

"Don't be a burden to your team, Tsubaki." Father reminds me as I put my sandals on.

"Good Morning to you as well Father." I say and I leave the house.

I run down a path, knowing I'll be late if I don't. Neji comes around the corner and I spin to avoid him, but I continue running.

"Hey!" He calls out annoyed.

I run backwards to wave.  "Good Morning Neji." I say and he scowls at me.

I turn around and run to training ground 6 and nobody is here yet.

The twins get here as they talk about nonsense.

"Good Morning Hiroko, Hiroto." I greet them.

"Good Morning Tsubaki." They chorus and they continue talking and we wait about ten minutes before Sensei gets here.

"Alright, lets see what you three can do." Sensei says to us.

I tilt my head confused.

"You'll be sparing together." Sensei says to us with a smirk.

I sweat drop as the twins get excited.

The twins get ready and follow in suite.

"Should I use my Byakugan?" I ask Sensei.

"Go ahead." Sensei says to me.

I nod and activate my Byakugan and I see all around me, except for one spot.

The three of us spar against each other, and these two are horrible, and I end up knocking them out.

"Good job Tsubaki." Sensei says to me and I fix the boys chakra networks.

"Thank you Sensei." I say after a moment.

The two boys wake up and they stare at me shocked as I deactivate the use of my Byakugan.

"She's so much better than us." Hiroko says to Hiroto.

I scratch the back of my neck as I get up from my kneeling position.

"Well now we know what to work with." Sensei says to us with a smirk. "We're gonna work on teamwork, by catching Tora." Sensei says to us.

"Tora?" I ask confused.

"Tora is a cat that continues to run away from her owner." Sensei explains to us.

I blink. "A cat?" I ask and Sensei nods. 

"A cat." Sensei confirms.

"A cat." The twins say and they shudder.

"A cat." Sensei says to them.

"Why a cat?" Hiroto asks Sensei.

"Cats are fast, and they're smart." I say to Hiroto. "Why do we have to catch Tora? If she continuously runs away from her owner, then Tora doesn't like it there." I ask Sensei.

"Well, its just a mission off trust between a citizen and her village." Sensei explains to me.

"But its a cat. The cat chooses the owner." I say to Sensei.

"That may be true, but its still our job to catch Tora." Sensei says to me.

The twins stand behind a tree, scared.

"Its a cat." I say to the twins and they snort. "Well then." I say and Sensei nods.

We then get started with the mission and I go around the village looking with Sensei as the twins gather information on where Tora was last seen.

"This is gonna be harder than I thought." I say as I see the cat with the red bow jumping from building to building.

Sensei looks up and he nods. "Good luck." Sensei then disappears.

I chase the cat on the ground and I end up going through alleys until the cat jumps onto a wall and I climb up and chase the cat to the park where the twins are.

"Get her!" I say to the twins as I run past.

The twins follow me. "What should we do?" Hiroto asks me.

"Both of you cut her off ahead of me, at that fence." I say as I point to a fence.

They nod and break off.

Neji just smirks as I pass him.

We corner the cat and I pick it up for identification and she fights me.

"Yeah, that's Tora." I say and she scratches my face and Hiroko stifles some laughter as I probably look mildly annoyed.

Sensei appears next to us. "Good job you three." Sensei says to us with a smile.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?" Hiroko and Hiroto yell, scaring the cat to where I'm barely able to hold it.

I end up falling on my behind as the cat hisses and scratches me.

"I don't like this cat." I say to Sensei, annoyance coursing through me, and probably shown on my face.

Sensei chuckles as he takes Tora and she gives me one last claw on my bare shoulder.

I glare at the cat and the cat glares back.

We end up passing Neji on our way back and Neji looks down on me in amusement and I roll my eyes and ignore him.

"Having fun?" Neji taunts me.

I scowl at him. "Oh be quiet." I say and Hiroko and Hiroto have to look away while laughing.

Neji just smirks at me and after a couple minutes, me and my team get to the Hokage office and the Hokage looks at me amused as I glare at that cat as the owner takes it away.

"Did you have fun Tsubaki?" Lord Hokage asks me.

I snort and the boys rest on my shoulders as Sensei gives the report.

"Well then, here's a few more, you guys can babysit, clean the trash out of the river, and walk the dogs." Lord Hokage says to us.

The twins cheer as I just stare at the ground.

"Lets get those cuts cleaned first." Sensei says to me amused as we leave.

We end up sitting outside as I clean the cuts Tora gave me. I end up having bandages on my shoulders and a few band aids on my face, one on my nose, and two on my right cheek.

We then walk the dogs and Sensei of course, disappears on us and the twins take the biggest dogs and end up getting dragged into a minefield and the twins get burnt to a crisp as I stand outside with the small dogs.

The dogs drag the twins back out and I take their leashes as the twins recover.

"Well at least now you'll be smoking hot." I say to them amused and they scowl at me.

"That was horrible." Hiroko says to me and I smirk.

"Horrible." Hiroto repeats.

We take the dogs back and we head to the Hokage office where Sensei joins us outside and Lord Hokage chuckles at the boys.

"Did you two have fun with the big dogs?" Lord Hokage asks them.

"NO!" They yell and I rest my elbows on their shoulders as Sensei reports the mission.

Then we head to the river to clean out the trash.

I roll my pants up to my knees and I get in as the boys follow my example.

We start to clean out the trash.

"Want to see who can clean out the most trash?" Hiroko challenges us.

"Alright!" Hiroto agrees energetically.

I shrug and work a little faster as the boys dive for a peace of trash and they up sliding towards me and I grab their piece of trash before they push me off the side of the fall and we land a few feet down into the water, and I'm right under these two idiots.

But we all get soaking wet and we finish cleaning the trash and I win by filling two bags.

Sensei takes us to the Hokage office and we pass Neji.

"Having fun?" Neji taunts me.

My eye twitches but I ignore it as we head up and Lord Hokage chuckles at us.

The three of us head home to change and Father watches me as I walk past him.

"What happened to you?" Father asks me.

I stop to look at him. "Lets just say my teammates are idiots and a cat hates my face." I say and Father nods surprised and I head to my room to get dry and I change and I braid my hair again.

I then go back to meet up with the twins and we go babysit.

An hour later, I'm back home, with spit up on my shirt, and my hair frazzled and my arms covered in blue paint.

Father against watches as I walk past him and I just take a bath and then I go back to the meet up.

"Well done you three, you handled these missions well for your first time." Sensei says to us and we scowl at him, making him sweat drop. "I'll treat you three to barbeque as a reward for working together, or at least getting hurt together." Sensei says to us with a nervous look.

"YAY!" The twins cheer, forgetting about their burns.

I unenthusiastically raise my fist half way up. "Ok." I say and Sensei sighs in relief.

We head to Barbeque and we pass Naruto's team and me and Sasuke give each other a look, a look only geniuses understand, a look that screams 'my team are idiots'.

"Come on Sasuke-Kun." Sakura says as she clings to him.

I notice Naruto trying to get Sakura's attention while their Sensei is hanging back, reading a book.

"Hey Kakashi." Sensei says to him.

"Hey Takahiro." The silver haired Jonin greets him in a disinterested tone.

I sigh and me and Sasuke stand next to each other, watching our teams.

Sakura ends up pushing me out of the way to cling onto Sasuke.

I stumble, but I stay standing. I snort and shake my head. 

The Jonin talk as I sit on the ground and the twins follow in suit and they talk about theories on why everyone's hair color is so different.

Hinata and her team pass by and I smoothly join Hinata's side.

"Huh?" The lady Jonin says confused as she suddenly sees me.

"T-Tsubaki!" Hinata squeaks surprised.

I put a finger over my mouth. "Idiots six o'clock." I whisper to Hinata and her team.

Her team looks behind us and Hinata stifles some laughs as Kiba does laugh.

"TSUBAKI!" The twins yell as they frantically look around for me.

We get out of sight and I sigh in relief. "The more time I spend with idiots, I feel my braincells slowly dying off." I say and Shino nods in agreement.

"Who is your Sensei?" The Lady Jonin asks me confused.

"Takahiro Nara." I say with a sweat drop.

"Ohh, your Tsubaki Hyuga, Takahiro said you were more talented than your teammates, and smarter, well I'm Kurenai." Kurenai says to me.

"I already know I'm smarter than them, our missions today proved it." I say and Hinata giggles nervously and she pats my head.

"Well, we were on our way to Ichiraku's, would you like to join us?" Kurenai asks me.

I nod and I go with them.

"W-Why are you c-covered in b-bandages?" Hinata asks me.

"A cat." I say as I look at the ground, horror passing through my eyes.

Kiba shakes his head. "They're devils." Kiba says to me and I nod in agreement.

Hinata smiles shyly.

"I prefer dogs now." I say and Akamaru barks. "Specifically Akamaru." I say and Kiba nods in agreement.

Kurenai smiles amused. 

Shino and I end up walking next to each other as Kiba drags Hinata as he runs.

I watch the two of them, until Kiba comes back and drags the two of us and I sweat drop as Shino attacks Kiba with bugs.

Kurenai takes us inside Ichiraku's and I order 1 Miso for myself while the rest order what they want.

Afterwards, me and Hinata head home and we pass Father and our Sensei's.

Me and Hinata look at each other and she looks nervous while I am just confused.

"Ah, Tsubaki, I was just telling your father about your skills." Sensei says to me with a smile.

Kurenai nods to Hinata who nervously nods back.

Father looks at us. "You two can go to your rooms." Father says to us and Hinata nods.

I end up following my sister and we head to my room.

"Why do you think they're really here?" I ask Hinata as she brushes my hair.

"I-I don't know." Hinata says to me quietly.

I hum. "Hopefully its a good reason." I say to Hinata.

"Y-Yeah, h-hopefully." Hinata stutters.

"I'm sure it is." I say to Hinata.

Meanwhile with Takahiro, Kurenai and Hiashi.

"Hiashi, with all due respect, Tsubaki is a strong kunoichi, for being a fresh Genin, she has a good handle on her Byakugan, and she's brilliant." Takahiro says to Hiashi.

"And Hinata has great potential." Kurenai adds.

"They're not half as full of potential as their younger sister Hanabi, who fought them and became the Heiress of the Hyuga." Hiashi says to the two Jonin.

"Well we came here to ask permission to take them on more dangerous missions." Takahiro says to Hiashi, getting a little annoyed by him.

"Do whatever you like with them." Hiashi says to him.

Takahiro and Kurenai leave, with Takahiro's feathers ruffled.

"I see the reason why Tsubaki wants to get stronger." Takahiro says as he rubs his temples.

"He thinks they're burdens." Kurenai says to him.

Takahiro nods. "Its fruitless for them to prove themselves to him, he's to high on his horse to see their progress." Takahiro says to her and Kurenai nods.

"Your still gonna help Tsubaki, aren't you?" Kurenai asks Takahiro.

Takahiro nods. "Of course, she'll knock him down a peg or two one day." Takahiro replies as he scratches his chin.
