Later in the Evening - Tsubaki's POV

I stand in the hospital next to Shizune, looking at her clipboard while she reads what's on it.

"Uhm." My shoulder gets tapped.

I look behind me to see Kankuro. He looks at me nervously and that confuses me. "Can I help you in some way Kankuro?" I ask him.

Kankuro looks at me and gets really nervous.

Shizune leaves and I watch her for a moment.

Kankuro stares at me as I look back at him. "I find you really attractive and I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me?" Kankuro asks me.

I honestly find that surprising. "I'm sorry, I'm too busy for that kind of thing right now. I'm sure your a lovely guy, but I don't have the time." I say to Kankuro as I bow.

"Hey now, it's ok, really. If you don't have the time, I'll ask again when you do." Kankuro says to me surprised and I stand up straight to look up at him

I stare at him for a moment and I feel slightly guilty that I had to say no, but I don't have the time to date.

"Tsubaki!" I hear Lady Tsunade yell my name and that makes me tense instantly.

"Oh great." I say and Lady Tsunade storms out of the emergency room and she looks pissed off.

"You, in that room, right, now." Lady Tsunade orders me.

I really want to go to bed. "Lady Tsunade, I have a name, I get that your Hokage, and your stressed out, but everyone else is stressed and if you stress people out more, someone is bound to snap." I say to her as I walk towards the door.

"Then everyone else needs to man up." Lady Tsunade says annoyed as she follows me.

"No one just simply mans up Lady Tsunade. They repress feelings because nobody wants to be a failure or looked down on for being emotional. And then some people will take those feelings to their grave, or others, they'll snap, and they'll cry or scream and let out those repressed feelings which releases hormones and gives a sense of relief." I say to Lady Tsunade.

"How do you know this? Your 11." Lady Tsunade says to me.

"I'm 13. And I studied human psychology for a little bit." I say to Lady Tsunade.

We open a door to a room and there's Neji, he's awake.

Lady Tsunade checks up on him while I wait. "If it wasn't for Tsubaki's emergency aid on you Neji, you wouldn't be sitting here right now." Lady Tsunade says to him.

"My medical aid isn't even that good yet Lady Tsunade, it was thanks to the medical team sent out." I say to her and she looks annoyed.

"You still had the foresight to have me send the medical team behind you." Lady Tsunade says to me.

"It's common sense, you sent Genin out there Lady Tsunade, they were up against people trained by Orochimaru." I say to Lady Tsunade.

"Are you calling me an idiot Tsubaki?" Lady Tsunade asks me.

"Yes, just a little bit. Sasuke may have been a Genin, but you sent a Jonin and Chunin squad before Shikamaru's squad, and it was wiped out. Then you had Genin go and they were smart, but almost half of that team was about to die." I say to Lady Tsunade.

Lady Tsunade scowls but huffs. "I see your point." Lady Tsunade admits and then she ruffles my hair. "Your a smart kid." She says to me with a grin. "Tsubaki stay here for a minute, I have to go get something." Lady Tsunade says to me and leaves.

"Thank you Tsubaki." Neji says to me as I walk over to him.

"What for?" I ask as I sit on the chair next to his bed.

"For finishing that fight for me. If it wasn't for you, I'd be dead." Neji admits quietly.

I watch him for a moment and then I scratch the back of my neck. "Your welcome. I guess I saved you again, for the 3rd time." I say and Neji smirks.

"This time you didn't get seriously hurt." Neji says to me. "I see improvement."

I smile slightly at that. "I'm trying." I say to him.

"What happened while I was knocked out?" Neji asks me.

"What do you mean?" I ask him.

"Why did you decide to come help us?" Neji asks me.

"Lady Tsunade sent me as a squad leader with the Sand Siblings as reinforcements." I say to Neji. "And then I did medical aid on you, you passed out, I was taking you back to the village when I found Choji, then the medical team arrived and took care of you two while I went on ahead to see if anybody needed help." I say to Neji who nods.

"I used my byakugan for a moment before you guys came in, and I saw you talking to someone in the hallway, and you bowed in apology, I was just wondering what happened." Neji says to me.

"Give your eyes a rest Neji. I was talking to Kankuro, he asked me out and I had to decline." I say to Neji.

"You mean a guy asked you out, and your not going to go with him?" Neji asks me surprised.

"I'm too busy to date anyone Neji. At least right now that is." I say to Neji.

"That's stupid of you. If you keep rejecting guys, your never getting a date. The least you could have done was go with him to dinner." Neji says to me annoyed.

I look at him surprised. "Why are you lecturing me on this? Is there something I should know?" I ask Neji.

"It's a way to get out of clan duties. Not to mention, you'd have to marry someone from the clan to keep the heritage going and what not." Neji says to me and I get rigid.

"An arranged marriage?" I ask and Neji nods. "And this is why I didn't want the responsibilities of the clan. It's too stuffy, too many rules for my liking, and stuff like this always gets sprung on me." I say and Neji smirks amused by that.

"I'm just surprised that your teammate didn't ask you out first." Neji says to me.

"What?" I ask Neji.

"The twin, the one with the fear of blood." Neji says to me.

"Hiroko? Why would he ask me out?" I ask Neji.

"Your clueless. I'm not surprised by that though. Everyone can tell he likes you." Neji says to me.

Lady Tsunade comes back in before I could reply, she's dragging Shikamaru and the Sand Siblings with her.

Lady Tsunade drags me into standing next to Shikamaru. "Ok then." I say and Lady Tsunade smirks at me and I feel on edge by that smirk. I subtly stand up straight, my hands folding behind my back.

"Shikamaru Nara, Tsubaki Hyuga, you two never reported your missions in." Lady Tsunade says to us annoyed.

"Well you were kind of busy Lady Tsunade." Shizune tries to reason nervously.

"That doesn't matter. It is the rule to report in your mission as soon as you enter the village." Lady Tsunade says annoyed.

I cringe slightly.

"What a drag." Shikamaru says as he stuffs his hands in his pockets. I nod in agreement to Shikamaru's statement.

"Tsubaki," Lady Tsunade says in a warning tone.

I go to defend myself but I don't, I just snort softly.

"Since Shikamaru went out first, report your mission." Lady Tsunade orders him.

Shikamaru gives a detailed report on the mission and I can sense guilt.

Lady Tsunade then looks at me and she stares at me. "Tsubaki, your turn." Lady Tsunade orders me.

I stare at her for a moment. "I led the sand siblings in a direct path to the fighting as reinforcements, I assigned the three to three guys who were still fighting based on their strengths together. I finished Neji's fight and was taking him back when I saw Choji and a medical team. From there I left Neji and Choji in their care and went to find the rest of the two teams to see if they needed help and to tell them where the medical team was." I continue to tell her what happened and when I'm finished, she smirks at me, and she's testing me with her eyes.

The door gets knocked on and in comes Daichi.

"No." I say to Daichi before he could speak.

"But Lady Tsubaki, your Father is requesting you come home immediately, he's got company that he wishes you meet." Daichi says to me.

I find that annoying.

"You better go Lady Tsubaki, it sounds pretty important." Neji mocks.

I look at Neji annoyed and he smirks at me. "If you'll excuse me Lady Tsunade, it seems I have some matters to attend to." I say to her and she nods with a smirk.

"6am sharp tomorrow morning, I want to see you in my office." Lady Tsunade says to me.

"That's 7 hours from now." Shikamaru says shocked.

"Uh huh." I say and I leave.

Daichi follows me back to the compound, he's nervous.

I take my sandals off at the door and I dismiss Daichi who leaves quickly.

I head inside the house and I go to the meeting room where I see Father and several men who belong to other clans.

"Tsubaki, glad you could make it." Father says to me with a smirk.

I feel annoyed to no end but I just nod.

"Weren't you at the Hospital Tsubaki? Helping Lady Tsunade with the Genin who came back injured under my sons watch?" Shikaku Nara asks me.

"I was indeed. Me and Shikamaru were busy giving our mission reports to Lady Tsunade." I say to him as I take the place next to Father.

These men are here all night in a meeting with Father, and I'm forced to sit through it.

I see the clock hit 5:30.

"If you'd guys excuse me, I have to go to the Hokage office at 6, so I must go get ready." I say to the men.

"It's 5:30, we were here all night." Shikaku says shocked. "My wife is gonna kill me." He sighs. "What a pain."

"Your excused Tsubaki." Father says to me.

I nod and I go to my room. I shower and I brush my hair quickly. I change into my usual outfit and I quickly go to the front door where I slip my sandals on. "Why must she insist on me being there so freaking early." I huff quietly as I leave.

I run to the Hokage office and I make it there right as it turns 6. I knock on the door, no answer. I knock again, no answer.

I open the door and Lady Tsunade isn't even here yet. "That's it, I'm getting breakfast." I say as I leave.

I jump down the stairs and I head to a tea shop where I get breakfast and tea.

"Young lady, you look like you were awake all night." An old man with long white hair and red marks on his face says to me as he walks in with a drunk Lady Tsunade.

"Hey! You brat! Your supposed to be in my office right now." Lady Tsunade slurrs as she points at me.

I sigh in mild annoyance. "Lady Tsunade, drink some water, get some breakfast and go to bed!" I say to her annoyed.

"Oh yeah." Lady Tsunade says to me with a smirk.

I pinch the bridge of my nose and I really want to go to bed but I have too much work to do. "Yeah, Lady Tsunade." I reply and she hangs off my shoulder.

"You shouldn't talk to your Hokage like that." Lady Tsunade says as she rocks back and forth on my shoulders, clearly drunk and mocking me.

What did I do to deserve this?

"Lady Tsunade, get off me, please." I say to her.

"The young lady has spunk." The old man says to me.

I get up and Lady Tsunade falls off my shoulders. "If your just gonna be drunk all morning Lady Tsunade, I'm gonna do something useful with my time and go check on the guys who got injured or train." I say to her.

"Your so serious, why are you so uptight?" Lady Tsunade asks me.

I feel exasperated to no end. "I'll see you later Lady Tsunade." I say as I leave my amount that I owe on the counter.

"Have a good day." The elderly lady says to me with a smile.

I nod to her and I leave.

As I'm walking, Sensei appears in front of me. "Good Morning Tsubaki." He says to me with a grin.

"Good Morning Sensei." I say to him.

"Come with me." Sensei says to me and I follow him to the training grounds where the twins are, half asleep.

"Tsubaki!" The twins say cheerfully and they glomp me and hug me tightly.

"Good Morning?" I ask surprised.

"We missed you." The twins say to me and I feel amused by that.

I hug them, having missed them myself. "Yeah yeah, I missed you idiots too." I say and they cheer quietly.

"She missed us!" They cheer quietly.

I step back after a moment and I sit with the twins and the two talk endlessly while I listen to their recent missions.

"You two are getting better, I'm proud." I say as I ruffle the twins hair.

I let the twins know what has been happening and Hiroko gets jealous when I tell them I had gotten asked out.

"Please tell me you said no." Hiroko begs me.

"I barely have time to rest, which means I don't have the time to go on a date Hiroko, so I said no. Chill." I say to him surprised.

Hiroko sighs in relief and sits back while I watch him confused.

"Now that you mention it, it looks like you haven't slept in a few days." Hiroko says to me and then the twins get on my case and so does Sensei.

I pinch the bridge of my nose in exasperation as they question and dote on me. "Guys, I've been busy." I say and the twins pull me up.

"Then your coming home with us and getting some sleep." Hiroto says to me.

I sigh softly, but I follow them.

Sensei grins as he walks next to me. "Get some rest Tsubaki." Sensei says to me with a grin and disappears in a poof.

The twins chatter the entire way home and I feel a whole lot more at ease as they talk.

When we get to their place, their mom forces me to change and then get some rest.

I curl up on the guest bed and I fall asleep just about instantly.
