Tsubaki's POV - Age 10

"T-Tsubaki, we're fighting Hanabi for who will take over the clan one day." Hinata says outside my door.

I fall out of bed and I groan. "Ok." I manage to say clearly.

I get up and get dressed in my training clothes which are the same as Hinata's and we head to the training room.

"Good Morning Hinata, Tsubaki." Father greets us.

"G-Good Morning Father." Hinata greets him shyly.

"Good Morning Father." I say with a bit more confidence.

Hinata is the first one who fights Hanabi and Hanabi wins.

"I forfeit." I say as I pick Hinata up.

"You can't do that!" Hanabi says to me quickly.

I look at Hanabi. "I just did." I say and Father frowns.

"So be it." Father says to me and then looks at Hanabi. "Hanabi, you are the only Heiress of the Hyuga, be proud of that." Father says to her. "Your dismissed Tsubaki, take Hinata with you." Father says to me coldly.

I nod and take Hinata to her room and I take care of her internal wounds and then she wakes up.

"H-How did it g-go?" Hinata asks quietly.

"Well, Hanabi is the heiress now, I forfeited." I say and Hinata looks at me surprised as I sit next to her on her bed.

Hinata frowns. "W-Why would you do?" Hinata asks me quietly.

I pat her head. "I couldn't just let you be alone." I say and Hinata nods.

Two Years Later

Hinata is stalking Naruto, in class.

I watch her amused as I pet Akamaru who is laying on my lap since Kiba had to use the bathroom.

"Tsubaki." Shino greets as he sits next to me.

"Good Morning Shino." I greet him with a smile.

Kiba gets back and sits in the seat in front of me and Akamaru jumps on Kiba's head.

Me and Shino don't talk much to each other.

Iruka comes in and teaches class and Shikamaru falls asleep, like usual.

I look around and I lean over my part of my desk and to the left in front of Hinata, and I pull Shikamaru's hair, waking him up.

I sit back down and Hinata looks at me surprised.

I continue paying attention as Shikamaru looks confused.

The next day

Me and Hinata sits in class and she's looking around for Naruto.

"Don't worry, he'll be here." I say to her in a quiet tone, making her jump in surprise.

She stutters trying to defend herself, but in the end her face turns red while I watch her amused.

A parasitic bug flies and lands on my nose, my eyes cross as I look at it and I just stare at it with my head propped up by my fist.

"Your not scared of my insect?" Shino asks me surprised.

I give him a slight smile. "I'm not scared of a lot of things." I say and Shino nods and his bug flies back over to him.

Naruto gets thrown into the room, tied up.

I watch curiously as Iruka stomps in and glares at Naruto. "THAT'S IT NARUTO, YOU'VE FAILED THE PAST THREE TESTS AND NOW YOUR ON YOUR WAY TO FAILING AGAIN!" Iruka yells at him and then continues with: "Now thanks to you, everyone has to review the Transformation Jutsu."

On cue, everyone but Sasuke, Me, Shino and Hinata groan.

I just stand up and walk down to get in line with Hinata and Shino.

I blink and everybody starts going as they complain at Naruto. "Quit your grumbling, your being pathetic." I say to everyone bluntly and they all stare at me in surprise. "What?" I ask and I go up with a shrug.

I transform into Iruka perfectly and I go sit down.

"Show off." Sakura mumbles.

I glance down at her from my seat at the top back center. "Sakura, if you have something to say about me, say it clearly so that I can hear you." I say and she blushes embarassed.

I stare down at her with a cocked eyebrow and she shakes her head quickly. "Never mind!" Sakura says quickly.

Naruto does the transformation Jutsu after Sasuke and he, sullies our eyes, but I manage to hide Hinata's eyes while Kiba hides mine and Shino hides Kiba's eyes then Shino's bugs keep him from seeing.

Iruka yells at him and we lower our hands.

The Next Day

I head to Hinata's room and I knock. "Hina today is the graduating exam." I say to her.

She opens her door and she's already ready. "O-Ok." Hinata says quietly.

I smile and we go to leave.

"What are you two doing today?" Father asks us as we pass him.

"A-Ah, G-Good Morning Father." Hinata says to him nervously.

"Good Morning Father." I greet and I put my hands behind my back. "Today is the graduating exam." I say to Father.

"Already?" Father asks us and I nod. "Then I suppose you two must get going." Father concludes.

"Indeed we do, Father." I say to him and he lets us leave.

Me and Hinata head to the academy and we sit in our normal seats.

Hinata watches Naruto and I look at Hinata amused.

Iruka comes in and he looks at his clipboard. "As you all know, today is the graduating exam, there will be another procter testing you with me, when I call your name, you'll come to another room and make three clones." Iruka says to us and he calls the first name and leaves.

"How do you think he's gonna call everybody?" Kiba asks me.

I put my head on my hands. "Alphabetical first inital." I say and Kiba nods.

"You'll be waiting a long time then." Kiba says to me with a smirk.

I shrug. "I'm ok with that." I say to Kiba.

Just like I thought, Iruka did what I predicted and I'm the last one.

"Tsubaki Hyuga." Iruka calls at the front of the class.

I get up and head down and we head to the next room.

"Alright Tsubaki, this is Mizuki, he's the second proctor, all you need to do is make three clones." Iruka says to me with a kind smile.

I nod and I do the hand sign and three perfect clones appear next to me.

"Good job, Tsubaki, I didn't expect anything less." Iruka says as he hands me the last village headband off the table.

"Thank you." I say and I leave the building.

I see Father and Hinata waiting and I walk over to them as I tie my village headband on my head and I tie it under my hair.

"You both passed." Father says to us and Hinata nods.

Father takes us home and we pass Neji who glares at us.

I just eye him as we walk past.

Me and Hinata then sit in my room and we talk about whose team we'll be put on.

"D-Do you think I-I'll be put on N-Naruto's team?" Hinata asks nervously.

I pat her head. "I don't know, but we'll see on Monday." I say to Hinata and she nods.

A Few Day's Later on Monday

Someone knocks on my door as I finish brushing out my hair. "T-Tsubaki, we're gonna be late." Hinata says on the other side of the door.

I hurriedly loose braid my hair onto my shoulder and I head to the door.

I slide it open as Hinata waits there for me. "Thanks Hina." I say and she nods.

We walk towards the front door.

"And what are you two doing today?" Father asks us.

"Good Morning Father." I greet.

"G-Good Morning Father." Hinata says to him nervously.

"Today is the day we find out what teams we're gonna be placed on." I say to Father with a lot more confidence than Hinata.

"I see, well don't burden your teams then." Father then dismisses us.

Hinata frowns as we put out sandals on at the door and we head to the academy.

"You won't be a burden Hina." I say before opening the academy door for her.

Hinata nods nervously and we head inside and to our classroom.

We sit at our normal spots and eventually everyone gets here, even Naruto.

"Looks like your crush made it." I say to Hinata and she flushes red.

Sakura and Ino battle to get through the door and once they do, they argue and then they see Sasuke and does their fan-girl thing while pushing Naruto out of the way.

Naruto then jumps on Sasuke's desk and looks him in the eye and the two glare at each other.

"This isn't going to end well." I say and Kiba nods in agreement.

A boy then accidentally pushes Naruto into Sasuke and its like slow motion as Naruto falls forward and kisses Sasuke.

I look at them surprised and Hinata looks embarassed.

The two turn away and start spitting and gagging as Kiba laughs.

Naruto then gets beat up by the fan-girls and I sweat drop.

"Yeah, that didn't end well." I say and Hinata nods in agreement.

Iruka comes in and then looks at all of us as we sit in our seats. Iruka then starts to list off teams. "Team 6, Hiroko Amano, Tsubaki Hyuga, Hiroto Amano." Iruka says to us as I look at the two boys and they cheer.

I just slowly rest my chin on the table and I put my hands on top of my head, dread filling me.

Two idiots who have no skill, yeah and Father says I'm gonna be the burden.

"Team 7, Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, and Sasuke Uchiha." Iruka continues.

I don't pay attention to their reaction, but by Sasuke's face, we're both thinking the same thing.

"Team 8, Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, and Choji Akimichi." Iruka calls another team.

Shikamaru sighs as Ino yells.

"Team 10, Hinata Hyuga, Kiba Inuzuka, and Shino Aburame." Iruka finishes and he looks at all of us. "Well that's it for teams, so, I suggest you all eat with your teams for lunch and then wait here for your Jonin Sensei." Iruka says to us and he leaves.

"A-Are you ok, Tsubaki?" Hinata asks me quietly.

I sit up and pat her head. "Hopefully." I say and Hinata nods and then goes to catch up with her team.

The twins join me at my table and they talk a lot.

They both have blue shaggy messy hair and violet eyes, and they're wearing dark blue shirts, with black leggings and gray coats.

I just eat my onigiri peacefully.

After lunch, a Jonin Nara comes in.

"Uh, Team 6?" He asks as he looks at us.

"Hello." I greet him and the twins stop talking and nod to him.

"I guess we do introductions." The Jonin says to us. "Tell me a little bit about yourselves, starting with the girl." The Jonin says to us.

I nod. "My name is Tsubaki Hyuga, the one with common sense." I say and the two boys look annoyed by me.

"Funny, now do you like anything in particular?" The Jonin asks me.

"My sister Hinata." I say to him.

"And anything you hate?" The Jonin ask me, worried about my answer.

"Idiots." I say and the Jonin nods.

"Alright, one of the boys can go next." The Jonin says to me.

The one to my left, smirks. "My name is Hiroko Amano, I like my brother and my new teammate Tsubaki, even though she's blunt and from a cocky clan." Hiroko says to him. "And I hate the sound of nails on a chalk board." Hiroko adds.

Well he isn't wrong about my clan being cocky.

"And my name is Hiroto Amano, I like the same things as my brother, and I hate the sound of styrofoam rubbing against styrofoam." Hiroto says to the Jonin.

"Well my name is Takahiro Nara, and hopefully I'll like you three." Hiroto says to us. "And now, what do you guys aspire to be?" Takahiro asks us.

"Me and Hiroto want to be great Ninja." Hiroko says to him.

"I aspire to be stronger, so that way I can prove my Father wrong and not be the liability he thinks I am." I say to Takahiro and he look genuinely surprised by my answer.

The twins stare at me in shock.

"Well then, our first training session is tomorrow, be at training ground 6 by 7 am." Takahiro says to us and he disappears in a poof.

"Let's go do something together." Hiroto says to us with a grin.

"Alright, what should we do?" Hiroko asks him.

"We should see what we can all do." Hiroto says to us, just grinning.

I raise an eyebrow, interested by this.

"Alright, Tsubaki, you should join us." Hiroko says to me, and the two grin.

I nod and we head out of the academy premises.

Neji and his team happen to walk past and Neji looks at me as the two boys talk constantly. "I see you've graduated Tsubaki." Neji says to me calmly and our teams stop.

"I have Neji, and so has Hinata." I say ans Neji nods.

"Not surprising from the main branch though." Neji scoffs.

"And what is that supposed to mean?" I ask Neji.

"It means you guys get special training, so of course you would have graduated." Neji says to me in annoyance.

I look at him in confusion. "You haven't heard? Hanabi is the heiress now, not me or Hinata. Father stopped training us when Hanabi won against Hinata." I say and Neji scowls at me.

"And you?" Neji asks me.

"Forfeited." I say to him.

"Should we let these two talk?" His female member asks worried.

"Well I guess it was your destiny to lose to your sister, and its your destiny to lose to me as well." Neji says to me.

I look at him in confusion. "Destiny, tell me Neji, are you only saying this because you feel threatened?" I ask him and Neji glares at me. "Well, destiny or not, I don't have the desire to fight you, side branch or not." I say and Neji looks surprised for a moment. "You two can go ahead if you want, I'll meet you there." I say to my teammates and they shake their heads.

"We're curious." Hiroto says to me and I sigh.

I see Hinata comes out of the academy and she walks over to me shyly and sees Neji.

"Hey Hinata, how did meeting your Sensei go?" I ask her.

Neji scoffs and leaves.

"We apologize for his rudeness." The girl says to me.

I shake my head. "No, I apologize, it seems he gets in a bad mood whenever we meet." I say and the girl nods. "My name is Tsubaki and this is Hinata, what are your names?" I ask them.

"I'm Rock Lee!" Spandex says to me with a grin.

"And I'm Tenten." The girl introduces herself.

"That's Hiroko and Hiroto, my team." I say as I motion to the boys behind me.

"Well we better catch up to Neji, it was nice to meet you." Tenten says to me and she runs off with Lee.

"I-I'm going to go home now." Hinata says to me quietly and I nod.
