elio was so excited for this homework task, because he knew that it was something that he could do very well. his whole life has revolves around weapons ever since he became a guard after his mother died. it was the one thing that elio could do well, since he isn't exactly the greatest in his other classes. all of the other classes were meant for princes and princesses who had been learning this their whole lives. he didn't have that kind of experience. but this was something he could do. he was a bit nervous that he would get in trouble for not getting burned. his powers helped him with the burning, but it might seem a little weird since he wasn't exactly supposed to have powers of atraxia.
     elio made his way down the doe forge, knowing he wanted to make a katana. he had done all of the research he needed and he made the outer coating of clay previously before he started. he wanted to make this accurately, so it would take a little while. when elio got down there, he decided that he didn't want to wait for the room to heat up. so he just did it himself, which probably took more energy than he needed to use. but it was definitely worth it because it made the process go a bit faster. he made the blade out of several coats of steel, using a lot of his energy to cool the steel quickly every time. it was honestly a bit tiring.
     once he had finished with the blade he made a bit of a fancy handle for it. elio had fun making the handle out of wood and rubber. and upon realizing he had some extra steel left over, he decided to make a ring blade. he always liked things that he could throw. but it's always been hard for him to just hold in his hand. so elio got an idea. he would make a ring blade with a hand hold in the middle that he would be able to separate to hold the two halves in his hands.
     by the end of everything, elio was basically exhausted, and he had no burns on his arms, even though the ends of his shirt were a little bit scorched. he wasn't tired because of the heat, but he was just tired from using his powers so much. but he was just too impatient and excited to just wait it out. he was excited because of how good everything looked, so as he left he planned to go up to the training room and just mess around for a few hours. after checking up on, and showing nessie everything of course.
