Charlotte opens two sad eyes to watch my reaction to what she had said. But there is no reaction in me, literally; my mouth opens and all I hear is a low zzzzz from the hospital machines.
       She twists her mouth to the side and squints both eye lids, actually in a funny way, expressing some kind of disgust for her own words.
       - ... The bi*** was wearing the shorter skirt I've ever seen.
       I recover some energy in order to say:
       - I'm so sorry, Ch_
       - Don't be sorry for something you don't have any fault. - she surprises me.
       - Okay - I shut my mouth  - Um... Sorry.
       Her eyes smile to me; unlike her mouth that stays still, lips glued. A curious human way of showing kindness without actually using the teeth.

Facebook (10 minutes after the park scene)

"Christina, Ben cheated on me"
"Ow.."
"Thanks for being such a good friend with this advice"
"Lotte"
"What?"
"I'm sry but that's all my fault"
"What?"
"Wait let me explain... B was totally in love with the girl but he didn't want u to know.. I helped them to meet without your knowledge I am so sry. I am being honest now Lotte plz forgive me?"

       Remember Taylor Swift's video Blank space? It's up there, in the beginning of this chapter if you want to see.
      Well, Charlotte was about to murder not just Ben, but her best friend Christina, who ended up being the cheater.
       Away from Germany, away from US, away from real friends, and the most important, away from her parents; all Lotte had was an useless knife, which she used to cut a slice of old bread, something material to fill the hole in her stomach.
       It is futile to repeat the exact thoughts of our girl on that moment; it would be something similar to rely a storm by each of its falling raindrops.
        All you can think about is the warm knife between Charlotte's fingers, controlled by the beating of an icy heart.
