"Marco, where are you taking me?," the blonde asked eagerly, holding her friend's hand for support.

"Calm down Star, it's a surprise. Just be patient and you'll find out."

He pulled her forward gently, pushing some of the foliage out of the way in the process. The blonde princess looked around, confused as to what was happening. They came to a small stream that was dappled with rocks. She looked down, one foot grazing the water before Marco stopped her.

"Allow me," the Latino said. He sat down in a patch of grass and begun to untie his shoe laces, kicking his shoes off into the grass. Star watched him for a minute before smirking.

"Don't forget the socks. We all know how you hate wet socks."

"Oh, right." He slipped off his socks and put them over his arm before standing back up. "Come on, Star."

She gently crossed the stream with Marco's help, and they ended up under a tree. Star's eyes lit up with awe and wonder at all the nature and beauty that surrounded her. "It's amazing..."

"Not as amazing as you."

"Whaaaa?..." The heart emblems on Star's cheeks illuminated faintly. "Marco, I.." A finger touched her lips, silencing her.

"Look, Star, I have some explaining to do. With you leaving like that, admitting your crush... I've been forced to do some thinking." A blush appeared on his cheeks. "Jackie... she felt like we weren't going anywhere. She thought it would be better if we stayed friends. All this stress... you being gone... Jackie breaking up with me... it made me release how..."

Star's blue eyes watched him, enthralled in the words that were coming out of his mouth.

"How I... feel... about you."

She stayed silent for a few seconds, then she opened her mouth to speak, visible tears welling in her eyes. "Marco, you can't... I was selfish. I only thought about myself. I was... stupid. I came between you and Jackie... she's so much better than I am.... if I didn't... if I didn't admit I had that crush... the both of you would still be together... I was-"

Star's rant was interrupted by a pair of lips pressing against hers. She was shocked, surprised. Her cheek marks grew brighter, but she craved it. This was what she wanted, needed. She closed her eyes and kissed him back deeply.

After a few seconds they pulled away, eyes wide as they stared at each other in confused lust.

"...Do you know how serious I am about this now?" Marco looked at her seriously.

Star still had a few tears coming out of her eyes, but she nodded silently.

"I trust you."
