21. A Total Life (Goddess) Saver

Grim hit his knees, sweat dripping down his back. His head was spinning, the strain of his teleportation powers only made worse by his current emotional state.

He raised his head, staring at the elegant structure that loomed over him.

It was a hotel, stretching many, many stories high. Fine golden trim marked the windows and sides, and the top of the building was a stained glass dome. It was built deep into the mountains, surrounded by nothing but magnificent flora.

It was called the Sanctuary, and, as the name implied, it was a safe haven for all magical creatures- monsters or gods. It was also a pretty cool vacation spot for gods, as Hades had a private divine suite that he used for outings. Grim and Artemis would always explore the halls and bug the other guests.

Grim's stomach started to ache as he remembered Artemis. He pushed the happy memories down. He didn't want to think about that right now.

Grim dragged himself to his feet, the sliding doors greeting him with a burst of fresh air from the Sanctuary. Inside, vines hung from the ceilings, growing vibrant-colored flowers. The floors were a soft pink and reflected Grim's haggard face like glass.

"Grimslay?" a silky voice asked.

By a grand fountain, a tall, plump woman stood, her pastel dress spilling around her on the floor. Her hair was braided with flowers, and her eyes were gentle and kind. She radiated an air of sheer power.

It was Ziva, the goddess of life.
