Phone call

At the Takagi mansion, Shizuka was jumping up and down, excited, leaving everyone confused.

Shizuka: Yes, yes! I did it! Now I remember! Oh, yes, I'm sure of it, there's no doubt!

Alice: What's the matter with her?

Shizuka: (pulls Alice in close to hug her) I just remembered! I remember my friend's phone number!

Rei: You mean the one with all the guns and the Humvee?

Shizuka: That's right! She's in the SAT. The Special Assault Team. So she must be still alive. More importantly, give me the phone!

Takashi: Uh... Okay.

Takashi brings out his phone for Shizuka to happily take it. She then started to dial the number to call her friend.

Shizuka: Now, let's see... There's the 1 and there's the 2... And the 3 and the 4, yeah... All the numbers are where they're supposed to be!

Khota: Do you want me to press it for you?

Shizuka: You're to mess me up, so don't interrupt me, 'kay.

Soon after, Shizuka managed to type down the numbers and brings the phone close to her ear, waiting for her friend to pick up. The phone rang a few times and the group waited for a while until someone picked up the phone.

Rika: Hello?

Shizuka: Rika! Oh thank God, you're alive!

The group smiled, also relieved to hear that Rika is still alive, after the outbreak happened.

Alice: I'm happy for you. I was so worried about you.

Shizuka: Oh a lot of things have happened to me too, but...

Rika: Cut to the chase will you? Where are you right now? My place?

Shizuka: That place isn't good anymore. Oh, we borrowed your guns and stuff.

Rika: That's okay. Just tell me where you are ri--

The phone then suddenly turns off, for unknown reasons.

Shizuka: Hello? Rika?

The group then sees a bright light in the sky.

Y/n: (blocks the light with arm) What the hell?

Takashi: Jesus Christ, what happened?

Saya: That light... oh no way. Miyamoto, check the gun sight.

Rei: What, but why?

Saya: Just check it. Yours should be using the IC.

Rei aims her rifle at Saya, making her move out of the way. Her eye looked through the scope and she didn't see the red dot showing up.

Saya: How is it? Do you see the dot?

Rei: Well... I can't see. (lowers her rifle)

Saya: I knew it...

Takashi: Takagi, what's going on?

Outside of the Takagi mansion, the guards were trying to finish the barricade by using the forklift, but it didn't move.

Man 1: Hey, what are you doing? Hurry up!

Man 2: Something's wrong with the engine.

Inside the mansion, Souchiro's men tried turning one of the computers on, but none of them were working.

Man 3: What happened?

Man 4: The PC went dead when we lost the power.

At the camp where all the other survivors are, a woman becomes distraught as she holds a man in her arms. She looks around, her face telling she was in desperate need of help.

Woman: Someone, please help me! I think my husband's having a heart attack! Help me!

Her voice managed to get everyone's attention.

Back with Takashi's group, they all listened to Saya, explaining what the light in the sky was.

Takashi: HANE?

Saya: High Altitude Nuclear Explosion. Duh. Do I have to explain everything to you people? The explosion of the nuclear warhead in the upper atmosphere creates compton, electrons gamma rays then spotter those electrons from the atmospheric molecule. The sputtered electrons accelerate and spiral along the Earth's magnetic field, generating an electronic magnetic pulse and such effect is lethal for electronic devices. That pulse can travel through anything that works as an antenna and fries its integrated circuit.

Saeko: So basically right now we-

Saya: Connect the dots, honey, all electronics are dead.

Y/n: What kinda military bullshit is this?!

Rei: Wha- so that means we can't use cellphones and stuff anymore?

Saya: Not only cellphones, but we won't be able to use computers. Cars with computers won't work. The power plants will be dead too. Unless they were implementing EMP measures, but I know only a small portion of Self-Defense Forces and the government agencies are using such measures.

As Saya was speaking, Souchiro and his wife walked down the staircase outside the mansion, while their men began planting gas candles around to give some light to the place.

Souchiro: Is there a way to fix it?

Saya: (turns around) Daddy? Some cars could work if we replace the fired parts and we might be able to find undamaged cars. Which have sustained less effective electromagnetic waves. They should work if they don't have the computer chips in them.

Souchiro: (to his men) Go check right away.

Man 3: Yes, sir!

Souchiro: Saya!

Saya: Y-Yes, sir?

Souchiro: I must say, I'm impressed how to stayed calm and rational in this commotion. You deserve my praise.

Saya was inspired, hearing her father being proud of what she has done.

Saya: Daddy-

The moment was interrupted by a few gunshots outside the gate.

Man 4: Look, look at the barricade!

The group all turned their heads to the gate. One of the guards ran as fast as he could, but stops to turn around and shoot the Walkers following him.

Man 5: Get back! Get back!

He quickly draws out his gun and fires rapidly at the Walkers. Just as he faces away to go to the gate, two Walkers grabs him from behind and sank their teeth into the guard's flesh, eating him alive as he screamed in pain.

Souchiro: Close the gate! Hurry up! Don't let the dead come inside!

Man 6: Commander! We still have a lot of our men on the outside of the complex!

Souchiro: We'll lose everything if we don't close the gate now! Do it!

Souchiro's men immediately went to the gates to close them. Two men got to both sides and closes the gate, but two Walkers managed to get through just after they closed the gate.

Man 7: Two got in!

The Walkers snarl as they walk around the mansion. Seeing this, Y/n loaded his crossbow and Khota ready his rifle to aim at the two Walkers.

Y/n: You take one, I'll take the other.

Khota: You got it.

Y/n fires his crossbow as Khota shoots his rifle at the two Walkers in their heads as they drop down.

Y/n: (smirks) Headshot!

Khota: (grins) Teamwork!

Man 8: Sorry, you two. I was wrong about you both.

One of Souchiro's men went down the staircase where the group are, carrying a briefcase containing weapons.

Man 9: Commander. Madam. I brought this as you requested.

Yuriko takes off her white cloth wrapped around her shoulders, replacing it with shoulder holsters and tears off a small piece of her clothing from her skirt with another holster carrying guns.

Khota stares in awe by the sight of Yuriko of her new attire. Saya becomes worried and she covers Khota's eyes with her arm, while the others become confused, even Y/n.

Khota: Mama...

Y/n: Why does she remind me of a video game character?

Yuriko: Use it, Saya.

Yuriko takes out a gun from the briefcase and hands it to Saya. Khota looked closer and his eyes beamed immediately.

Khota: That's-That's a Luger PO8 Holland Colonial Model!

Saya: I don't even know how to use this thing! Wait a minute, what are you even doing with a gun?

Yuriko: (smiles) When I was working on Wall Street, I was taking the executive Self-Defense Course. Actually, I might be a better shooter than your father. (to Khota) You will show her how to use it, won't you, Hirano?

Khota: (raises hand) Yes, mama! (realizes) No that's not what I meant. I meant yes ma'am. (raises hand again) Yes, mama!

Y/n: (slaps Khota on the back of his head) She's not your mother!

At the gate, more Walkers gathered around and the men tried their hardest to keep the barricades intact. More and more Walkers came with their combined strength, the barricades began to slowly be knocked over by the amount of Walkers there are, as they snarled.

Man 8: We're screwed, man. We can't hold 'em.

Then, the Walkers managed to break the gates open and bring the barricades down. The men tried to run away from the horde of Walkers, but they began to sink their teeth into their flesh.

Man 8: Master! Run!

Y/n and the others watched in horror as the Walkers entered the mansion.

Takashi: Everybody get back!

Seeing the Walkers heading their way, they fall back to the mansion. As Y/n was heading back to the mansion, he hears the survivors in the camp, screaming in terror as the Walkers went to the camp, attacking the survivors. Y/n immediately ran to the camp to try to save the survivors. Rei watched as Y/n ran to the camp.

Rei: Y/n!

Takashi: Rei, he'll come back. Let him do his job.

In the camp, the Walkers were eating most of the survivors while running in terror. Y/n draws his pistol and starts shooting the Walkers in the head to save the survivors trying to escape.

Y/n sees a woman tripped and fall on the ground as Walker crawled behind her as it was about to eat her, Y/n shot his gun on the Walkers head killing it, saving the woman. Y/n reached his down for the woman to take his hand to help her up.

Y/n: Go, get to the mansion!

The woman agreed with what Y/n said and ran to the mansion. Y/n then hears another woman, crying out for help.

Woman: Help me! Someone help me!

Y/n went to the direction where he heard the woman shouting for help. He then sees a Walker in front of the woman wearing a purple long sleeve shirt with gold parts on it. The Walker went towards the woman for her to trip on a body and fell to the ground.

The woman tried to calm down the Walker, but to no avail, it was already a dead person. Y/n then shoots the Walker in the head with his gun for it to fall down on the ground. The woman turned around to see Y/n's gun with the smoke coming out of the barrel.

Woman: What have you done?!

Y/n: In case you didn't know, lady I just saved your ass!

Woman: (gets up from the ground) You just murdered that innocent man!

Y/n: What?! How was that thing innocent?! He was already dead!

Woman: He could've been sick in the head! I would have take him to see a doctor!

Y/n: You're out of you fucking mind, lady! These things that used to be people are dead!

Woman: You murderer!

The woman grabs a cleaver from the dead body she was on and charges at Y/n for him to grab the woman's arm to try to stop her from killing him for no reason.

Y/n: You crazy bitch!

Woman: I'll kill you for what you did to that man!

Y/n was unable to get the woman out of his grasp. He then sees three Walkers behind the lady. Y/n then managed to kick the crazy woman off of him for her to be knocked back by Y/n's kick. The woman then fell behind the Walkers for them to sink their teeth into her flesh and her neck as she was screaming in pain.

Woman: Help me! Help me!

As the woman was still screaming, Y/n knew what he had to do. He aimed his gun at the woman and shot her in the head, ending her suffering. The Walkers ripped open her stomach and started to feast on her body.

Child: Mommy! Daddy!

Y/n hears a child, crying for help. He then searches for the child around the camp and he found a little girl, alone in the camp.

Child: Mommy! Daddy! Where are you?!

A Walker was going to the little girl, but Y/n managed to shoot at the Walker in the head, saving the little girl. The little girl sees Y/n going to her.

Y/n: You alright, sweetheart?

Little Girl: Yes. I'm okay.

Y/n: Good. Listen, I'm gonna take you to the mansion. Hopefully your parents are there. I'm gonna have to carry you there, okay?

Little Girl: Okay.

Y/n: Up you go.

Y/n then carries the girl and starts running past the Walkers as he doesn't stop running. Y/n managed to reach the mansion going up the stairs to where his group and other survivors have made it.

Y/n: Whose child is this? Anyone? Whose kid is this?!

Little Girl's Mother: Ours! (goes to Y/n) Oh, our baby girl!

Little Girl's Father: (follows his wife) Oh, thank god! Our sweet baby girl!

Y/n puts down the little girl to reunite with her parents for them to hug her for the little girl to hug back to her parents.

Little Girl's Mother: Whoever you are, thank you so much for saving our daughter. We don't know what would've happened her if it weren't for you.

Little Girl's Father: Those monsters... all of them...

Y/n then sees Rei running to him.

Rei: Y/n!

Rei hugs Y/n for him to hug her back for her to let go to look at Y/n.

Rei: Are you okay?

Y/n: Yeah, I'm fine.

Rei: Don't run off like that again without letting me know, okay?

Y/n: Yeah...

Y/n then sees all of the survivors, and most of their kids were crying in their parents arms, afraid of the Walkers that might get them. Y/n wasn't listening to Souichiro and the others, he was focused on protecting the people of the mansion and the survivors. Y/n then looked at the horde of Walkers, surrounding the place on the fields.

Y/n then walks back to the stairs, seeing one of Souchiro's men with a wakizashi in his scabbard. Y/n takes the wakizashi from the guard's scabbard walking to the staircase.

Guard: What the? Hey! What are you doing?!

Y/n starts walking down the stairs for the others to see him as well.

Rei: Y/n! Where are you going?!

Souchiro: Dixon!

Y/n didn't listen to them as he managed to reach the end of the stairs and sees the horde of Walkers. One of the Walkers went to Y/n to swing the wakizashi slashing its brain off, for the rest to notice Y/n. He then started to slice and dice every single Walker in the horde, by going for the brain. Y/n then got his knife out to dual wield with the wakizashi and stabs and slice every single Walker he sees in the brain as he keeps on going.

Back to the group and the survivors, they all watched as Y/n slicing and stabbing each and every Walker in his path.

Takashi: Is he crazy?

Souchiro: No.

Takashi looks at Souchiro.

Souchiro: He is a brave warrior. And we all must do the same... fight back the dead. (to the survivors) Change of plans! Men that are brave enough to fight, stick together and watch each other's backs. Do not let the dead surround you. Work as a team. As for the women and children, stay here where it is safe. (to Takashi) You should go help out your friend. It'll take more than him to kill an entire army of the dead.

Takashi: What about you?

Souchiro: I'll follow the same way he is doing and so will Yuriko.

Khota: I'll stay here, covering all of you, including Y/n.

Takashi: Good idea. (to Rei) Rei, you're gonna need something light. You don't want the rifle to get grabbed by the Walkers.

Rei: Okay.

Takashi puts down his gun and so did Rei for them to pick up a blunt weapon pipe for the two of them. Saeko then unsheathed her katana to get ready for the fight of the horde of Walkers.

Takashi: (to Alice) Alice, you stay here with Ms. Shizuka.

Alice: Okay.

Saya: I'm coming too.

Saya said as she got the gun that Yuriko gave her.

Takashi: Alright. Let's go!

Takashi, Rei, Saya and Saeko went down the stairs and they started attacking the Walkers in their paths to get to Y/n.

Back to Y/n, he kept on stabbing and slashing with his weapons on the Walkers, one by one. Y/n didn't see the Walker behind him, but then a bullet was fired at the Walker, hitting its head. Y/n then looked behind him to see the Walker on the ground and looked to see where the bullet came from. Khota was covering him from the balcony of the mansion.

Khota: I got you covered, buddy.

Khota said to himself, as Y/n nodded at him from afar. He then continued to kill every Walker in the area. As Y/n was killing Walkers on his side, Takashi, Rei, Saya and Saeko joined up with him as they killed a few Walkers on their side to regroup with Y/n. Y/n nodded at his group for him and the others to continue fighting off the Walkers.

On the survivors side they all grouped up together using their weapons of choice beating down the Walkers to clear a path and some are back-to-back so that way they don't get surrounded. One of the survivors saw a gas candle to pick up and throw it at the Walkers, but it missed and hit a tree, slowly burning. The bright light of the fire brought all of the Walkers attention as they turned to see the fire from the tree.

(Epic music playing)

On Y/n's side, they all saw the fire and the Walkers started to go to the fire, letting them have the advantage to strike from behind them.

Y/n: Don't let up!

Y/n continues to kill every Walker while the group did the same with him. They all bashed, shot, stabbed and sliced every Walker while some of the Walkers went to the tree to get burned by the fire. Khota shoots the Walkers where he is posted, while the survivors kill every Walker while they are distracted by the fire. On Souchiro's side, his men fired their guns and some of them had wakizashis and katanas to kill the Walkers including Yuriko.

Everyone shoots, slashes, bashes, and stabs every single Walker from side to side fighting back the dead surrounding the mansion. After all the fighting, Y/n finished one last Walker by slicing off its brain.

After all the fighting, every Walker was killed at the Takagi mansion. The sun was slowly coming up and all of the people that fought off the Walkers are now exhausted. Y/n sat down on the ground exhausted, and they all did it, they all killed every Walker in the Takagi grounds. Rei sat down with Y/n and leaned on his shoulder for Y/n wrap his arm around Rei.

Rei: We did.

Y/n: Yes we did.

The sun came up for a brand new day and a peaceful day of victory after killing the horde of Walkers.

(Music End)

Matsudo was working on the repairs of the Humvee, turns out, it was anti electric magnetic pulse. Rika must have paid a fortune to get a car like that. Matsudo closes the hood of Humvee that he was finished with it for the group to be in the garage.

Matsudo: Humvee is good to go.

Saya: Thank you, Mr. Matsudo.

Matsudo: It was my pleasure, Lady Saya. (to Y/n) And you, you just saved our asses taking on a horde of the dead like that. I have never seen anyone go up against that many.

Y/n: Well, I didn't do it alone. I had my friends to back me up.

Rei holds Y/n's hand to be close to him, that he didn't do all the fighting alone.

Matsudo: Well, at least we didn't have to move from here. It's going to take some time to repair the barricades and everything, but we'll manage. Safe travels, all of you.

Matsudo then leaves the group.

Souchiro: Leaving already?

The group turned around to Souchiro and Yuriko with a smile on their faces.

Saya: Mom, Dad.

Souchiro went to Y/n first to speak with him.

Souchiro: Dixon, what you did for all of us, you were a brave warrior, a warrior that led us to victory. If it weren't for you and your friends, we would have been overwhelmed by the dead.

Y/n: I did what I had to do to save everyone. All the people in this place, they deserve a better life. And I wish all of you the best.

Souchiro: Thank you. I wish you all the best, too.

Yuriko then hugs Saya.

Yuriko: Be strong, Saya.

Saya hugs back to her mother.

Saya: I will, mom.

Yuriko let's go of Saya and Souchiro hugs Saya as well.

Souchiro: I'm very proud of you, Saya. Remember that.

Saya: Of course I will, dad.

Souchiro let's go of Saya and asked Y/n a question.

Souchiro: What about you, Dixon? What are you gonna do now?

Y/n: (smiles) ...I've got someone else to find.

Y/n then enters the Humvee. The rest entered the Humvee to get ready to head out. Shizuka drives the Humvee through the gate and they manage to exit the Takagi mansion and out on the road.

The group were now on a highway where there was a group of Walkers on each side.

Alice: There's so many.

Saya turns around to clear her throat to get Takashi's attention.

Takashi: Oh well.

Takashi, Y/n, Khota and Saeko exit from the top of the Humvee. They all started to get ready to fight the Walkers to give each other a smile.

Takashi: Let's end this little road trip... With a fucking bang!

Takashi aims his shotgun and fires at the Walkers.

(Timeskip)

The group had to leave the Humvee behind, that the engine was busted and couldn't work anymore, so they had to travel on foot. They then stopped by a building that seems to be a mall.
