Chapter Ten: Homecoming (Part 1)

The day has finally arrived. People were finishing up preparations for the big night. Students had two reasons to be happy on this day. One was for Homecoming itself and the fact the school was dismissing early for the Football and Ice Hockey games.

Jace was especially happy for this as it was the day he asked Lexi to be his girlfriend. He was singing in the shower and it sounded like Freddy Krueger scratching a chalk board.

Knowing he was at his limit, Lars spoke up saying, "Hey Jace, when are you gonna ask Lexi the big q?"

"During the dance. I'm seriously looking forward to it." Jace said with a smile. "Speaking of dates, do you guys have?" Jace asked as he begun to wash his hair.

"Nope, I'm going alone... I'll just see where the night takes me." Lars said. "And you Johnny?"

"Going with Vanessa." Johnny said. "How'd that happen?!" The two asked.

One week ago...

The group split up due to the fight the previous week. Too much tensions and anger. Johnny and Vanessa kept hanging out as of recently and they just clicked.

It was lunch time now and Johnny walked up to Vanessa. "Yo Nessa, follow me... I got something to show you." Johnny said. Vanessa agreed and followed Johnny.

He led her to the roof and pointed to the sky. She looked up and saw a banner in the sky saying 'BE MY DATE TO HOMECOMING?'

A huge smile appeared on Vanessa's face before she looked at her friend. "Johnny... you dumbass. Of course I'll go with you." She said before hugging him.

"You're the guy responsible for the banner?!" Lars yelled. "Wow Johnny, you trumped literally every guy in the school." Jace said respecting Johnny's creativity. (Still sounds dumb if you ask me)

"You smell that David?" Jude asked as he took a deep breath. "Smell what?" David asked.

"That smell David... is the smell of fear, desperation and insecurity." Jude said with a wicked grin on his face.

"So it's that bad huh?" David asked. "Yes it is, and honestly I'm finding it a bit amusing." He said before he twitched.

"Jude?" David stared as Jude kept twitching. By the time he stopped, he looked like an entirely different person. "I know this is all sudden, but can I kill you?" Jude asked in a low calm voice. He donned a sick sadistic grin on his face. "Run if you want to live."

This was the side of Jude that people feared more than Jay, hell it was a side the Jay feared himself... Juggernaut Jude.

"Three seconds to death, are you ready?" Jude asked. All David did was shake his head and run away at the fastest speed that could ever achieve.

"No playtime? That's sad... better go meet up with the others." Jude said before walking away.

"So... which game are you going to Abby?" Lexi asked her friend as while getting her math book out of her locker.

"I'm not going anywhere actually." Abby said. "What? Why not?" Lexi asked. "I'm in a band, that's why."

"A band? Lemme guess, you're playing at the Homecoming dance." Lexi said. "Yeah... Don't tell anyone about it, okay."

Lexi just smiled. "Lips are totally sealed. Oh and good luck for tonight." "Thanks." The drummer told her before the hell went off. "Got art, see ya." Abby said before running off.

Lexi walked off in the opposite direction and headed off to drama. She was in the same class as Malcom. All this girl could think about was Jace. She still sees some good in him, even after what he did in the cafeteria two weeks ago.

It was confusing. After what Jude said and Jace did to prove his point, she felt conflicted. She truly believed that he was good inside but she feared what would happen if he snapped at her. Hopefully she would be able to get her chance later at night.
