I was arriving at my house with a worried mind. Because it's late, I forgot my phone, and mother is going to give me hell for this. I took a peak behind me and still saw this two following me with the same expressions. 'And here I thought that they were going to talk to me or ask me something.' I though, but was actually relieved that I don't have to explain anything to them.

We arrived. Once my hand made contact with the fence and it made the noise, the door burst open and a frying pan flying towards me. I barely managed to dodge it, but glad it didn't hit me.

Y/n: "JESUS CHRIST, MOM!" Her aura was high and her anger was scarier than before.

Mother: "DON'T YOU 'MOM' ME!!! YOU WERE GONE FOR A LONG TIME AND YOU DARE TO APPEAR AT THIS TIME OF THE NIGHT!!!"

Y/n: "Ey, at least it's still before midnight!" I carefully scratched my cheek.

Her eyes widened. She finally decided to look to my side and saw the girls. I looked at them and they had a sweat drop beside them.

Mother: "Oh goodness me." Her aura and anger decreased. "I'm really sorry that you girls had to see that." She walked to where I was and stood beside me while bowing towards them as an apology.

Akeno: "Ara..." My body tensed when she said that. She had her hand on her chin and was smiling at my mother. "...you don't have to worry, Ms. L/n. We were making sure that Y/n was returned safely." Mother stood up straight and made the same pose as Akeno.

Mother: "Ara, I hope my son hasn't been doing things out order.~" Her aura just spiked that sent chills down my spine.

Akeno: "Oh, don't worry Ms. L/n. Y/n behaved like a good boy and has done great things. He deserve a reward for it."

Mother: "I'll see to it myself."

Akeno/Mother: "Hahahaha." They both shared a laugh. Like, they literally and in sync laughed. 'They get along just fine. It creeps me out.' I thought.

Koneko: "Y/n was a real help." Her voice was monotone.

Y/n: "So, umm, this is Akeno Himejima, my sen-"

Akeno: "I'm his senpai.~" She interrupted. I was going to say senior, but it's the same.

Y/n: "And this here is Koneko Toujou, my junior."

Akeno/Koneko: "It's nice to meet your acquaintance." They said and bowed in unison.

Mother: "It's my pleasure to meet such beautiful girls. Now, who's going to marry my son?" My eyes widened and I jumped off of my shoes.

Y/n: "MOM! WE JUST MET! HOW THE HE- UGHHH!" I was hit behind my head with a pan.

Mother: "Oh, I'm sorry for his outburst. He's a little shy." I caressed my booboo with tears out of my eyes while trembling.

Akeno: "Aww, he's so cute.~"

Mother: "I know, right? I believe you and I will get along just fine."

Akeno: "I feel the same way, Ms. L/n." I looked at her. 'Don't encourage her, Akeno!' I thought. "Either way, we must be going."

Mother: "Aww, already?" They both nodded.

Koneko: "We got other matters to attend to." They both bowed.

Akeno: "It's nice to meet you."

Mother: "Likewise."

Akeno: "Y/n, we will see you tomorrow afternoon. We'll send someone to pick you up." I got confused.

Y/n: "For what?"

Akeno: "For the club. Bye bye." They turned around and walked away.

Mother: "Inside. Now." I quickly walked past her and sat down on the couch. She closed the door and the lock activated. 'Crap, I'm in trouble.' I thought. "Explain." She sat on the opposite of me. I took a deep breath and started to explain.

I told her about what happened with Issei, the Fallen Angel, Rias and her peerage, everything. Like the moment I called Issei until now.

After I finished the story, I looked at mother to see what she was going to do. She seemed pissed, and with the moonlight shining on her like a stalker in the corner, doesn't help.

Mother: "At least the House of Gremory is better than any other." I got confused and shocked.

Y/n: "Are they? I mean, they are Devils and-"

Mother: "Y/n, you can't judge a bat by its wings. Not all devils are evil. Think of your friend, Issei."

Y/n: "He isn't exactly my friend, but I understand."

I mean, if we go by what our tradition says, they suck on your souls or take your souls and possesses your body or just eats you. But, we can't always go with what things say and see it for yourself.

Then, mother sat down on my side and told me to give her my hands. They were still all metallic and black.

Mother: "You should be more careful when this things happens." She started to do her magic on my hands. Yellow light emitted from her hands over my arms.

Y/n: "You know I can't. It runs in the family." I grinned.

Mother: "I know." She finished. "All done." I took back my hands and saw my normal skin.

Y/n: "Thanks, mom." She nodded.

Mother: "Now, go eat. Then, go to sleep."

Y/n: "Yes ma'am." I stood up and went to the kitchen to eat.

Y/n P.o.v

That's all I did that night. I went to eat, did my hygiene, and went to sleep.

When it was morning, I did my hygiene and went to get breakfast. Once again, father and Oren weren't there. I ate my breakfast, and before I left, my mother reminded me about what Akeno told me, and to be safe.

My way to school, I was listening to NSYNC. I know, old school. I check my phone, but nothing from Kala. I arrived at school, and saw Rias and Issei walking together. They both took notice of me.

Rias: "Good morning, Y/n." I lowered my headphones from my ears.

Y/n: "Morning." I looked at Issei. "You feeling alright?" He nodded.

Issei: "I'm good."

Y/n: "Are you done getting stomachache for jacking off too much!?" I grinned. His eyes widened and he blushed while looking at Rias.

Rias: "He will be fine. I made sure of it. I kept my word." I turned to her.

Y/n: "You never gave it to me. But what do I care. It's not like Issei and I are best pals or anything."

We were arriving at the school building and all eyes were on us. The guys were jealous for Issei hanging out with Rias. And the girls were worried that he was hanging out with both of us, and they didn't want us to be around a pervert.

Rias: "But you had his back like so. You seem to contradict your words with your actions."

Y/n: "Instinct, Rias. You want a hug for using big words?" She flinched.

We entered the school building and everyone had their eyes on us. Specially at Issei who were glaring at him.

Rias: "Well, this is where we part ways. I'll send someone to fetch you both." She waved at us and walked away. "Until later."

I shook my head, put my headphones back on, and walked towards my classroom. Whatever Issei did right now wasn't my problem. Once I arrived at class, I sat on my 'Protagonist Desk' as I like to call it. Wanna know why? Some of y'all know why. Because it's the one at the back close to the window. Everybody know this desk, and why it's called like this. I just kept listening to music until class would finally begin.

Seriously, why do I have to wait in this class when nothing interesting happens? Like, really, what's the point in all this classes if I'm not learning anything new? Anyways, I put my stuff away, stood up and was about to leave when I was met Kiba. He was smiling at me with all the kindness in the world. I just grinned in return.

Y/n: "Here to pick me up, Prince Charming?" He nodded.

Kiba: "Yep." I heard squeals coming from the girls.

Y/n: "We're picking up the other one?" He nodded again. "Then, lead the way." He turned around, and we both started walking towards Hyoudou's classroom.

Just by us walking together and smiling at the same time only made the girls get turned on. 'This is too much just because it's us.' I thought. But, it is what it is.

Y/n: "So, you are also one of them." I stated.

Kiba: "Yeah. Didn't thought that you would be part of it either."

Y/n: "Who said that I'm one of you guys?" He looked at me with a confused smile. "I'm not part of the group. I'm just doing what Akeno and Rias said so we can clear some misunderstanding. Nothing more."

Kiba: "I thought that you were going to join us. It's common sense, since you're this strong. Unless-"

Y/n: "I'm not part of any club, if that's what your thinking."

Kiba: "Then, that's good." I looked at him with a what and really face.

We've arrived at Issei's classroom and, like usual, all the girls squealed at both of us just appearing. Issei, looked at Kiba with disgust and jealousy, but once he saw that I was with him, he stood up and walked towards us.

Girl1: "Ewww, don't get too close to our princes!"

Girl2: "Stay away from them, you perverted freak!!!"

Y/n: "Don't worry girls..." They all looked at me. "...this is just an ass-kicking for peeping on you girls." They all squealed even more and thanked me. "Come on Hyoudou..." I took hold of his shoulder. "...time for your punishment." I pulled him out of the classroom, and told Kiba to lead the way.

We were at a good distance and I let go of Hyoudou.

Issei: "Did you had to say stuff like that in front of them?"

Y/n: "It's not like they like you, so why worry? Anyways, it was the only way for them to keep quiet about you having cooties."

Issei: "Thank y-" I raised my hand.

Y/n: "I didn't do it for you. I just want this to be over."

The rest of the way was quiet. Once we arrived at the club, which is the old building in this school, we were inside the club's office or main room or whatever you call this place.

There was a desk at the other end of the room, in the middle was a table with two couches of the same size opposing each other and either side of the table.

Issei: "...Hey, I think I know her." I looked at the girl that was sitting at one of the couch. It was Koneko eating a chocolate.

While Issei and Kiba were talking about her, I looked to my right and saw a curtain on a door frame and steam coming out from it. 'Someone's taking a shower?' I decided to make a stupid question. Then, the voice of Akeno and Rias came from inside. I heard Issei getting all excited and that he likes being in this club. 'Oh brother.' I shook my head.

Akeno was in front of us, introducing herself to Issei, who was drooling.

Y/n: "Oi, clean yourself, will ya?" He shook his head and cleaned himself.

Rias: "I'm sorry to keep you all waiting. I didn't had the time to take a shower at your place, Issei. So, I had to take one here." I raised an eyebrow to her statement, but it wasn't my business.

Issei: "It's ok. You're hot... I mean fine..."

Rias: "Since everybody is here, then we may begin."

They all sat down, except for Rias, who was standing in front of her desk, and I was looking at her with my arms crossed.

Rias: "I would like to officially welcome you to the Occult Research Club." Issei appreciated the welcome. She looked at me like she was expecting something.

Y/n: "What?"

Issei: "Dude, at least say 'thanks' or something."

Y/n: "Who said that I was joining? I've never made an arrangement to join any club."

Issei: "Dude, c'mon! This is once in a life time thing."

Y/n: "Oh, it sure hell is." He looked at me. "Why don't you explain to your new member what the Occult Research Club really is?" I looked at Rias and she was a little surprised.

Rias: "What Y/n is trying to say is that the title it's just the front. Sort of like a hobby."

Issei: "Then..." He looked between me and Rias. "...what is it."

Rias: "Since you've asked, I'll answer." No shit Sherlock. "I'm not the only Devil here." Issei was surprised.

Issei: "Wait, is that what you all are?"

Y/n: "Don't include me." He looked at me. "I'm no Devil like these people. I'm as human as any other."

Issei: "Then, why are you here?"

Y/n: "That's a really good question that I wanted to ask your master." I looked at Rias, then looked at Issei. "Also, this people aren't the only supernatural beings in this world. You see, that winged man that we've encountered yesterday, was really a Fallen Angel." He looked surprised.

Rias made sure to explain the difference between Fallen Angels and Devils. Which, the Fallen Angels wishes to serve God, but it is too late for them. It's understandable to confuse them because the both factions walk around humans to misguide them. 'Good way to explain what you guys are.' I thought in sarcasm. And there is another faction which are the Angels, who serve God to destroy the other two factions.

I looked at Issei, and he had a stupid face. 'Seriously, what the hell?'

Rias: "What's wrong? You seem overwhelmed."

Issei: "Basically, because I am. You're talking about some freaky stuff that really confuses me." He scratched the back of his head, trying to make any sense of this.

Rias: "Remember Yuuma Amano?" He got shocked. Even I did as well.

She continued talking about her while I was in my thoughts. 'So, that means that the girl that Issei was dating, was actually a Fallen Angel. No wonder she appeared and disappeared like a flash.'

Issei: "Yuuma!" I looked at the table that he was looking and saw a picture of them. "S-So, you knew!" I looked at him, and he was looking at me.

Y/n: "I did not. I knew that she existed. That she was a Fallen Angel, I didn't."

Issei: "Then, why does Matsuda and Motohama can't remember her. And why doesn't her phone number appear in my phone."

Rias: "Because we can erase human memories. It's actually convenient for us to keep our existence a secret. The same thing I did with your parents."

Kiba: "Which surprises me that Y/n still remembers her."

Y/n: "Like I said, I'm a simple human."

Akeno: "And what about those arms of yours that you had last night?" I rolled my eyes.

Y/n: "They are my prosthetic arms." Their eyes widened. "Can we continue with Issei and his ex than talking about me." I looked at Issei and gave him the next explanation. "Fallen Angels erase all history from everybody's memories after finishing their mission. Just like when you erase your browser history."

Issei: "If that's the case, then what was her mission?"

Y/n: "Well duh. She killed you." He seemed surprise.

Issei: "But for what reason."

Rias: "She was wary of you, and wanted to see if what you had inside was real. And, if it was a danger to her." Issei got a flashback moment just now.

Issei: "So, that's why she was talking all that nonsense about God and something sacred."

Rias: "Yes. You have the Sacred Gear." My eyes widened. 'How convenient, Rias.' I thought.

It was explained that the Sacred Gear is something found in a rare people. Making Issei a valuable target. But what Sacred Gear he has that gave the reason for the Fallen Angels to kill him, was my question.

Issei: "...I'm..." I looked at him, he had his left arm up, and he was trying to do something. "Focusfocusfocus..." I saw him having a goofy face while looking at something. I looked at the direction, and saw small clear view of Rias...

...

I smacked the back of his head. They all were shocked at my action.

Y/n: "Might as well focus on what you're doing than on what you're looking, dumbass." He looked at me with 'oops he caught me' face.

Rias: "Why do you treat him like that!?"

Y/n: "Hey, a couple of punches wouldn't hurt. It certainly would help him focus."

Rias: "But not like that. If you wish to help him, then why don't you join my peerage and help him." I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow.

Y/n: "The hint that I know enough about the supernatural world should give you enough concern than me joining Rias."

Akeno: "You're giving yourself more credit than what you give about being human."

Y/n: "It would be better to leave it at that. Now, Issei. For more explanation, you had a flier on you that day that Yuuma decided to put her rod inside you." That's what she said. "That little paper is the reason why you're here. Because you summoned Rias and she saved your pity ass."

Rias: "And from that day, you have been revived and reborn as an honored member of the House of Rias Gremory. Daughter of the great and powerful Devil, the Marquis of Gremory." Her wings spread from her back.

Everybody stood up and were happy to have him as a member of the house. Then, their wings spread as well. Issei backed up, but he was pushed foward because of his wings.

Y/n: "Puñeta!" I shouted and flinched because it almost hit me.

After that whole ordeal of wing display, they tasked Issei to deliver a bunch of fliers around town. Rias encouraged him to do it, and that maybe, in the future, he can become a master and have servants of his own. The only foul that came from his mouth was everything about harem.

Now, it was just me and the ORC club.

Y/n: "Give me the reason why you wanted me here, Rias?" I looked at her with an eyebrow raised.

Rias: "Because you're not just a 'simple human' as you like to call yourself. You seem more than meets the eye."

Y/n: "Oh, cut the Transformers reference, and cut to the chase."

Rias: "Fine then. I'll ask directly." She locked eyes with me and her eye turned red. "Who are you and what are you?" I just rolled my eyes and sighed.

Y/n: "Listen, those vampire hypnotizing stuff won't work on me." Her eyes turned back to normal and smiled.

Rias: "And that answers my question. You're more than a simple human, and know a lot about us. I want to know what are you."

Y/n: "I'll repeat myself, just a simple human that wants to live a normal life. But, it seems it's going to be impossible because of you."

Rias: "And why is that?"

Y/n: "Because you have this weird interest in me, right now. And it's making me want to just leave and be on my way."

Rias: "Then, why did you protected Issei the way you did, knowing that he was a Devil?"

Y/n: "Oh, trust me, if I knew he was a Devil, I would've left him to his fate and be on my life."

Rias: "And the fact that you were ready to fight a Fallen Angel with just those arms seems more interesting." I rolled my eyes, because this keeps going.

Akeno: "Are those really prosthetic arms?" I nodded. "Then, how can you make them look like normal arms?"

Y/n: "Alchemy." I lied. Well, lied-ish.

Rias: "Why don't you want to join our ranks?"

Y/n: "I'll give you the same answer, Rias. It's enough that I know a lot about the supernatural world. So, you must feel more concern about that than you having me." I crossed my arms. "Besides, everything you do is just for your own benefits. I'd rather not hangout with selfish demons." All of them were shocked at my statement.

Akeno: "Ara. You're being prejudice." I shrugged.

Y/n: "I don't care if I am. I'm just stating the facts."

Kiba: "How can you be like that when you haven't known us?"

Y/n: "It's enough that Issei has a Sacred Gear, and..." I raised my arms in 'wow' sarcasm. "...how convenient that Rias was there for the rescue and has him as her servant. And from what I've seen, you guys are strong in your own level. And from what I'm seeing, after she saw that I'm immune to supernatural mind stuff and that my arms aren't what they seem, she wants me in her group." I made an oh face. "Ooooooh, how convenient it is to have me." They were going to say something, but Rias stopped them.

Rias: "Don't. Let him." She sighed. "I see that I can't change your mind." I sighed in relieved. "But..." Oh, come on. "...I still want you to join the club." My eyebrow twitched in annoyance.

Y/n: "Why?"

Rias: "Because I can see that you have some sort of dilemma with the supernatural. And I want to know, from the perspective of a 'human'..." She emphasized on the word human. "...on how we can be better." I was weirded out by that fact. 'By not existing.' I thought. "Also..." She got serious this time. "...I want you to keep an eye out on Issei. It seems that the Fallen Angels aren't done with him. I fear for his well-being." Hmm. This got me thinking. "I'm asking this as a favor."

Y/n: "Then, why ask me to join the club?"

Rias: "Because you can be closer to him than I can. Be by his side when I'm not."

Y/n: "What about this guys?"

Rias: "They've got their own errands and pacts to attend to. So, since you aren't part of my peerage, you can be part of the club and be beside him." I scoffed.

Y/n: "It all ends the same. Because you don't want to loose your greatest weapon." I scratched my eyes with one hand, and sighed in annoyance. "I'll have to think about it. And to be a babysitter, I'll be asking payment."

Rias: "I'll do my best to live up with the payment." I shook my head and made a 'no' with my finger.

Y/n: "Heh, nonono. You're asking me to risk my life for Issei's. You'll owe me, big time." She nodded.

Rias: "I understand."

Right on cue, Issei entered the room.

Issei: "Hey, I've finished my delivery!"

I walked towards Rias. The others got worried, but Rias signaled them to calm down. I offered her my hand.

Y/n: "I'll keep my end of the bargain, but joining the club is something I must think about."

Rias: "I understand." She took hold of my hand. Her hand were warm, slender, and soft. "This stays between us." I nodded and we shook on it, gently.

Issei: "Did I missed anything?"

A/n: Welp, making a deal with the Devils seems pretty legit at this point. And, I'm not sorry for keeping a lot of missing explanation and information, but all in due time.
