So this is a bit of a weirder story idea, but I think it could be a lot of fun. Dr. Vegapunk and his Satellite have become some of my favorite new characters introduced in One Piece and I wanted to do something with them and Devil Fruits in general as I think they are a cool power system. As for why it's Highschool DxD, well for some reason I thought this idea meshed really well with the setting. It is a strange combination for sure, but I feel like I can make it work. For now let's meet Vegapunk's grandson! Afterwards I have a few small bits of info to share in regard to the setting and an important question for all of you.

Name: Astro Vegapunk

Age: 18

Hair Color: Brown

Eye Color: Green

Height: 6 Foot, 2 Inches

Family: Dr. Vegapunk (Grandfather)

Personality: Shy, smart, curious, wants to better the world through science, doubts his abilities, likes solving problems, has a hard time speaking up, excited to get to live with his grandfather, worried about rogue Devils and Fallen Angels.

Bio: Astro Vegapunk is an unassuming teenager with a love of science, growing up in the small town of Kuoh after his parents moved there when he was five for business. Astro had few friends due to his shy nature, but found a friend in fellow outcast Issei Hyoudou. Astro would spend most of his time studying, particularly in the fields of science and engineering, hoping to follow in his grandfather's footsteps and help better the world through science. Entering into Kuoh Academy, Astro spent most of his time with Issei, helping him study for tests and other school topics. However his friend strangely started hanging out with one Rias Gremory, much to his confusion.

       However Astro's life would take a drastic turn when his parents decide to send him to stay with his grandfather on his island while they move to another country for business. Bidding his best friend farewell, Astro leaves Japan and heads to Egghead Island, the home of his grandfather. Upon arriving Astro is thrust into the world of Devils, Angels, and Fallen Angels as he helps his grandfather and students in developing technology to help humanity defend themselves from these supernatural beings. Astro takes particular interest in strange fruits that seemingly gift people extraordinary powers his grandfather is researching.

So that's Astro! Now here are some important pieces of information in regard to the setting of this story:

Vegapunk's Satellites are not aspects of him, but rather his students who are the smartest scientists on Egghead island aside from Vegapunk himself.

Egghead Island was created by Vegapunk with the purpose of bettering humanity through science without interference from world powers.

Other characters from One Piece will also appear in this story, most being citizens of Egghead Island, some related to scientists or other personnel on the island.

Devil Fruits function the same way as they do in One Piece, however most of the world is unaware of them due to Vegapunk collecting them and keeping them contained within the lab to prevent possible chaos.

With that out of the way, some of you might be wondering why Astro does not have a Devil Fruit. Simply put I thought of three he could potentially have, one from each category. That is my question to all of you, which Devil Fruit do you think Astro should consume?

Logia- Hie Hie no Mi: Turns the user into a Freezing Human. Allowing them to conjure, control and turn their body into the element of ice. While it can still be hit with physical attacks, the user can still reform their body from the shattered pieces. Anything the user comes in direct contact with will instantly freeze if they activate their powers.

Paramecia- Ope Ope no Mi: Turns the user into a Free Modification Human. The fruit allows them to create a spherical domain where the user can freely rearrange, take apart, and generally remodel the structure/anatomy of anything and anyone without harm in a surgical manner.

Zoan- Tori Tori no Mi: Model Phoenix: A Mythical Zoan that allows the user to transform into a Phoenix and Human-Phoenix hybrid. Alongside enhanced physical abilities and flight capabilities, the user can use the Blue Flames of Resurrection. While the flames do not burn or produce heat, they have immense healing properties, allowing the user to regenerate from even lethal injuries. The user can also utilize the flames to heal others.
