Rachel's POV

I slowly unfolded my eyes and my gaze stayed frozen. I was on a...... A LUXURY ROOM!!!! WHAT THE FUCK! WHERE I'M I?! HOW DID I GET HERE? WHO'S HOUSE IS THIS? So many thoughts raced through my mind as I was both flabbergasted and excited. I remained in deep thoughts which were interrupted by a woman in a fancy suit. I think she's a maid.

Maid: "Good you are awake Mrs. Gardner."

Rachel: "Excuse me miss, where am I? Can you tell me? Who's room is this? Where am I?"

I said every question I could think of at that moment as I eagerly waited for her response.

Maid: "Calm down Mrs. Gardner. You are in Mr. Howard's Mansion. For your second question, this is your room."

She said smilingly as she stood by my left side, looking at me.

Rachel: "Can you tell me who is Mr. Howard? How did I get here?"

Maid: "For starters, Mr. Daniel Howard is the owner of this House and also the patriarch. Mr. Howard was the one who brought you here and put you on the bed. Mr. Howard is the reason why all of us, butlers and maids, have our lives and jobs. He gave a new purpose to live and all of us are entirely grateful to him. He is himself a mystery. Never talks unless needed or if any of us are sick. He's the kindest young man you'll ever meet."

Rachel: "I see....so that's Daniel..."

Maid: "Oh! I said too much, hehe....come to Mrs. Gardner, let me escort to the dining room. Mr. Howard is waiting for us there as we speak."

Rachel: "Alright, take me there to him."

Maid: "Very well, Mrs. Gardner. Please, follow me."

I slowly got up from my bed as I saw her walking towards a grand door and opening it.

She held the door open as I walked outside and I saw something I never thought of seeing and understanding. Me, standing a GRAND HALLWAY !!!!

I was overwhelmed by the place where I was in. She continued guiding me down and I followed her while looking at the pictures left and right. How can a seven-year-old be this rich?!! We later came to the end of the hallway where we found a staircase and walked downstairs.

When we reached downstairs, I was still in shock at the beauty of this mansion that I was exploring. Is this a dream? Am I dreaming? Shit! I don't believe it! As I was again stuck in thoughts, she called me out loud which snapped me back to reality. I later followed her to a grand dining door and watched as opened automatically. Then I saw a boy sitting on the grand chair of a table, covered in a suit, looking straight at me as I saw the table filled with all kinds of food. Some foods that I never tasted, let alone encountered in my miserable life.

Daniel's suit :

The Boy In A Red Suit: "Please sit down Rachel. I'm the boy you encountered yesterday. Look at my eyes."

Rachel: "No way.....so you're the boy who saved me yesterday? I had no idea you're THIS rich."

I said as sat beside him as waved at a butler who stood behind us.

Daniel: "Please bring the maiden the following foods as ordered."

The butler went to the kitchen which was behind the dining hall.

Butler: "As you wish, Senior Howard."

Daniel: "Did you sleep well, Rachel?"

Rachel: "You bet I did! That was the most peaceful slumber I ever had in my life. Thank you very very much, Daniel. I LOVE YOU ALREADY!!"

Daniel(laughs): "Okay, let's not get ahead of ourselves. I know you're just very happy to be here. Please, when we are in the mansion, you've to keep your attitude in check. The outside world is okay."

Rachel: "Sorry......does that mean I've trapped here with you and have to whatever you say? This isn't fair."

Daniel: "Rachel, dear, you're not understanding the situation. No, you're not trapped with me. Indeed, if you're feeling uncomfortable anyway and can't share it at this moment, feel free to leave. I said pointing at the freshly fried rice which blew my mind by the smell it giving away. I was about to pick the big spoon until Daniel interrupted me.

The butler known as Fred did as told and served me. I took the fork beside me and started devouring the food. Daniel was a bit disappointed as he watched me stuffing my mouth but he didn't comment on it. Probably because it was the first time or he understood that I hadn't eaten such a good meal in quite a while. I was given porridge rice while they had McDonald's. Daniel looked at me with a smile as he slowly ate his chicken pieces.

Daniel: "Ah, you seem to enjoy yourself, Mrs. Gardner. I'm glad you enjoyed my chief's cooking. Jeremy has such a talent that makes all of his food mouth-watering."

I swallowed the last bite I took and devoured it with a glass of water then asked. A small blushed appeared on my cheeks which I hope Daniel didn't notice.

Rachel: "H-How did you acquire this mansion, Daniel? Y-You, don't have to answer if you don't want to. I'm just curious."

Daniel: "Oh, there's no problem. As I said, feel to ask anything your heart desires. Back to the topic, this mansion was given to me as a part of my job. I'm one of the highest-ranking assassins in an organization and so as compensation, I was given this mansion."

I was about to ask another question when a butler ran through the door towards Daniel.

Butler: "The boss is here. May I bring him here?"

Daniel: "Granted. And make it quick or you might piss him off."

Butler: "Right away Senior!"

He said as he sprinted towards the hallway. Everything was silent until I decided to ask Daniel what was this about.

Rachel: "Umm, Daniel?"

Daniel: "Yes?

Rachel: "Who's coming?"

Daniel: "Arthur Thompson. Also known by everyone as-"

???: "UNCLE TOMMY IN THE HOUSE BABY!"

Daniel: "Uncle Tommy....."

He exclaimed with an annoyed expression which didn't unnoticed by everyone in the room, including him as well.

Uncle Tommy :

"You are not excited to see me! Why??"

Daniel: "Please have a seat, Uncle Tommy."

But for some reason, his uncle decided to sit beside me, making me uncomfortable for some reason.

Uncle Tommy: " Who's this fine chick, m'lord?"

He asked Daniel that question with what seems to be a mock bow.

Daniel: "That's for me to know and for you to find out. Now, Ram please escort Lady Gardner back to her room."

He ordered the pick-haired maid behind me.

Ram: "Right away Lord Howard. Please follow me."

I got up and started following but kept my ears sharp as well to listen to their conversation. What can I say? My curiosity got the best of me.

Uncle Tommy: "You did good on that last job Howard  but the board is not happy."

Daniel: "I killed Tetsu Hyoudou, didn't I?"

Uncle Tommy: "The man you killed was a yakuza. Not to mention, he was the captain of the Yajima Family. Do you have any idea what that means? It means that the man you terminated was a high-ranking officer and was the second-in-command of the Yajima Family. His patriarch Masao Yajima is demanding we deliver them your head on a silver platter. Now there are two ways I see how this going to go down. One, we do as they asked or you'll go and clean your mess. Yajima Family headquarter is in South Kuoh in Rancho Avenue."

Daniel: I'll leave after-"

I couldn't catch any words exchanging as I exited the hall along with Ram. We walked without exchanging a single word to one another. I asked her where the washroom was So I could clean up. She quietly escorted me there and when he opened the door, I had an open-mouthed which unfortunately didn't go unnoticed by her.

Ram: "Bachulu, close that pathetic mouth of yours."

I just stared at this pink-haired maid with an angered expression but I ignored it and went to the washroom. So after cleaning myself up by brushing my teeth with a toothbrush where I found my name engraved on it. Later, after taking a bath in one of the hot tubs present before my dazzling eyes, I found a luxury dress my size which was folded on a cabinet. I wore it and made my way to open the door and when I did, I saw a girl that resembled Ram but with blue hair, was standing there.

The Dress :

Rachel: "Are you here to escort me back to my room?"

???: "It appears so. Please follow me."

The blue-haired maid :

I started following her and asked,

Rachel: "May I know your name, Mrs...."

???: "My name is Rem."

I followed Rem as she escorted me back to my bedroom. She told me to take a rest as she'll be taking me outside in order to explore the town. When asked, he told me Lord Howard ordered her to do so.

From what I learned so far, the blue one is Rem and the pink one is Ram. I asked Rem about Ram who told me about her elder sister and how she great at everything. She told me how she will never be good as her elder sister and will serve as a replacement later on. I felt sorry for her so I assured her that everything isn't what it seems like.
