The hazelnut-haired girl sat down at the table that the group was sitting in.

Xenovia: Thanks for responding to that call so quickly, Irina.

Irina: No problem! I heard you were hunting the Holy Swords, so I just had to join in!

Asia: How are you fitting in as an Angel?

Issei: Are people treating you right?

Irina: Don't get the wrong idea! Everyone is super nice there!

Xenovia: That's nice to know, but that's the least of our concerns right now. One of our close friends, Kiba, is currently hunting for Excalibur all alone. Since our interests align, I figured we should at least back him up.

Irina: You're right. Hunting those blades is dangerous work. Even more dangerous if you're a devil.

Issei: So I've heard. 

Asia: So, what's the plan then?

Issei: Simple. Find Kiba. Help him out in any way we can.

Xenovia: Right.

Asia: What if he doesn't want our help?

Issei: That doesn't matter! I can't stand by with the thought that one of our friends could be in trouble!!

Xenovia: So, Irina. You in?

Irina: Definitely.

Roshi: Focus, (y/n). Sustain the form.

(y/n) was sitting cross-legged in his Super Saiyan 2 form, trying to hold for as long as possible.

There were clear signs of fatigue on his face.

Roshi: You don't need to be at full power. Find an adequate level of power to keep the form sustained. This drill will allow you to exert large amounts of energy and still keep your momentum and drive without expending everything you have in one go.

(y/n): Right... I just need to hold it...

Roshi: Just hold it...

Akeno: So. You're really not going to stop them. Are you?

Rias: Even if I tried, I probably couldn't get through to them. Besides...

Gasper slowly opened the door to the club room.

Gasper: Their here...

Sona and Tsubaki entered the room.

Rias:...We have more important things to speak about.

The group silently treked throught the forest in search of Kiba. 

Asia: It's getting pretty dark... Should we turn back?

Issei: Not yet. Not until we find Kiba.

Xenovia: Wait... Did you hear that?

Irina: What?

Xenovia: Two people! Fighting! It's deeper in the woods!

Irina: Wait... I can hear it too! Let's go!

Xenovia: Right!

Issei: What are you talking about?

Asia: We can't hear anything!

Irina and Xenovia began running towards the sounds they claimed to hear. Issei and Asia were in pursuit of them as well.

The group stopped at the sight of a man attacking Kiba with a strange sword near the church.

Issei: It's Freed!

Freed: Oh! It's the Dragon Boy! And his stupid friends!

Kiba: Issei?! What are you doing here?!

Issei: Giving you some backup, dumbass! You just can't do this alone! 

Xenovia: Yeah! Let us help you! 

Asia: You don't have to go through this all alone!

Irina: Right! We're here anyway, so let us back you up!

Kiba: Alright! Let's do it, together!

Sona: You've noticed it. Haven't you?

Rias: Of course I have. Any high-ranking devil would've noticed it already.

Sona: The lines are shifting. Something's stirring in the underworld. There's been an odd increase in not only stray devils but Fallen Angel activity as well.

Akeno: We've been noticing it for almost a month now.

Tsubaki: It's been more and more prominent as your rook as left to hunt the Holy Swords.

Sona: Something's about to go down. Something big. And it's coming soon.

Rias: That we can agree with... But what if it's a someone. Not a something. 

Akeno: What are you saying, Rias?

Rias: It can't be this straightforward. First the spike in Fallen Angel and Stray Devil activity, then the Demon-Warrior Cell, and now the Church and the Holy Swords are beginning to make themselves known.

Sona: I offer a theory.

Rias: What is it?

Sona: Your new evil piece. (y/n). I suspect he's been unknowingly attracting unwanted attention.

Rias: What do you mean?

Sona: Ever since it was made public that (y/n) was a Devil-Saiyan, I suspect that has made our enemies move in an act of desperation. Rather, I bet someone is capitalizing on the kind of people (y/n) is attracting, and is using him as a proxy to start a conflict. Rias, we could be looking at another war here.

Rias: It's not out of the question.

Akeno: It would make sense.

Rias: So... What do we do?

Sona: The only thing we can do. Wait.

Freed: I wanted to thank you!

Kiba: For what?

Freed: Not much! I was hunting for some cool new toys to play with, but all I found was a bunch of devils in costumes.

Issei: Shut up, you bastard!

Irina: Careful with that sword he's got. It's powerful.

Kiba: Right.

Issei brought out his boosted gear and begun to boost his power. 

Freed: Oh my, my! Five of you in one night! I'm overwhelmed by my own popularity! 

Kiba: Don't get too excited. I'm your only opponent! 

A grin appeared on Freed's face as Kiba spoke.

Kiba immediately rushed Freed, but he was able to jump away and deliver a downwards slash at Kiba's head. 

Thankfully, Kiba was able to block it before the blade made contact with his head. 

The two fought for control but Freed hopped away once again. (i bunny dud)

Kiba pursued him, and they engaged in a high-speed battle, almost too fast for the normal human eye to see. 

Issei: Damn! He's faster than Kiba! If only there were some way I could stop Freed, then I could transfer power into Kiba! 

Xenovia: All you need is for him to slow down, huh... Irina?

Irina: Already on it!

The two flew into the midst of Kiba and Freed's high-speed battle and blocked one of Freed's incoming attacks.

Freed: Damn you! Stupid women! (hey thats sexist man) Get outta the way! 

With a path now clear, Issei flew up and transfer his energy into Kiba with a pat on his shoulder.

Issei: Transfer!

Kiba: Hmph. This power I've been given is a gift. I will use it gratefully! 

Freed: W-What?!

Kia Motors: SWORD BURN!

Kiba plunged his sword into the ground, making a multitude of blades extend from the ground like spikes. Xenovia and Irina jumped away just in time for the attack to hit Freed.

Freed slashed away at the blades appearing out of the ground, lest he be stabbed.

???: How interesting...

Kiba: Who's there?

A white-robed man walked out of the church doors.

???: A sacred gear that can show almost limitless power based on the user's ability. Oh, Freed... Looks like your use of Holy Swords could use some brushing up. 

Freed: Hey! It's Old Man Valper!

A look of rage instantly filled Kiba's face.

Issei: That must be the guy that Kiba's after!

Irina: I hear he's the mastermind behind all this in the first place.

Kiba: VALPER GALILEI!

Valper: Oh... The one and only... 

Freed: One and only what, old man? Make yourself useful and get these two girls away from me! 

Valper: You need to put all your energy into the sword.

Freed: Oh, is that all it takes? One energy cocktail, coming up!

Freed's Excalibur began to glow a distinct orange.

Issei: Be careful you guys! This is bad!

With a newfound power, Freed easily pushed back Xenovia and Irina, sending them to the ground. 

Freed: It's making sense now! If I figure out the perfect way to use the Holy Elements, I'll continue to increase my own power! I like this game... 

Freed attacked Kiba with his blade, but before it could connect with him, Xenovia helped Kiba block it.

Freed: You?! Again?! What's wrong with you people?!

Xenovia: I will not allow your actions to go unnoticed! You'll pay for what you've done to Kiba! 

With Freed distracted by Xenovia, Kiba saw an opening to attack. He swung his blade at Freed, only for him to, once again, jump out of the way. (damn kiba you jus got baited)

Freed landed next to Valper.

Valper: You're done.

Freed: Huh?

Valper: All you had to do was to get rid of those vermin from the church. Easy! But there they are with Holy Swords, and we're outnumbered. Time to fall back. 

Freed: Aw... So soon?

Freed held up a small coin-like object in his hand. He then tossed it to the ground, generating an intense amount of light, blinding the group and allowing Freed and Valper to escape. 

Issei: Damn! They got away! 

Kiba and Xenovia immediately ran into the woods.

Xenovia: Let's go, Irina!

Irina: Right!

Issei: Wait! I wanna come too! 

But they were already gone. 

???: Goodness, what have you gotten yourselves into?

Issei: R-Rias!

Irina fell to the ground, dirt kicking up as she made a rough connection with the forest ground.

???: Seems I found you, little girl!

Irina looked around the woods to see if she could spot her pursuer.

Freed suddenly jumped out of the trees, attacking her. 

Freed: You can run all you want, but it seems like I've gotten you all alone!

Irina was first to attack this time, rushing Freed with great speed. However, Freed was faster and was able to pull off a slash into Irina. 

Freed instantly appeared in front of Irina.

Freed: Oh! What a nice Excalibur you got there! Can't leave without that~...

(Dude, Freed is like borderline pedophilic)

Freed landed much more slashes on Irina's body, tearing up her clothes and leaving behind deep wounds.

Freed finally grabbed her neck, and slammed her into a tree, choking her. 

(yeah. this really happened in the show. watching it back for source material kinda made me uncomfortable. like for real. I dont want to see some dude choking the life out of some poor young girl.)

Irina: L-Let me go!

Freed: Hmm... What to do with you? 

???: Stop... Keep her alive... 

Freed looked up to see a large Fallen Angel above him.

???: Even if she's a small fry, we still have many uses for her...

Issei sat in his class in Kuoh Acadamy, his head down on his desk.

Issei: So. I guess that's it. Nobody's heard from Kiba, Xenovia, or Irina yet. And on top of that, (y/n)'s gone as well. He probably has no idea that this is going on. What a terrible time for him to leave. Especially when we could use him right now...

Issei: So, Kiba hasn't contacted you yet?

Akeno: Nope. Haven't gotten a single word from him yet. 

Rias: Good news is that they are all pretty skilled. Most of my worries have been settled due to this fact. 

Issei: But still... I'm sorry. I can't do anything to help.

Akeno: That doesn't matter. We had to act. We sent our familiars to search for them.

The red magic circle appeared just beyond the outskirts of town. The group stepped out to see a bruised and battered Irina, lying motionless on the ground. 

Issei: Irina!

Issei quickly ran to her side, to see if she was okay. 

Akeno: We found one...

Issei: Asia!

Asia: Right.

Asia began to use her twilight healing and brought out a Senzu Bean from the small pouch than (y/n) gave her. 

Irina let out a moan of pain from her wounds.

Issei: What happened? Where are Kiba and Xenovia?

Irina: I don't know... They got away...

Issei: Away from what?

Irina: From the ones who chased us... I let them down... 

Asia: Try not to push yourself!

Irina: I tried to get away... But he was too strong...

Issei: Who is "he"?

Irina: Please... Be careful...

And with that, she blacked out.

Issei: Irina!

A blue magic circle appeared in front of the group and out stepped Sona and Tsubaki. 

Issei: Hey, guys.

Rias: Thank so much for coming, Sona. 

Sona: Of course. I came right as I heard your message.

Sona knelt down beside Irina, to see the damage done to her.

Sona: It's pretty bad. Isn't it?

Asia: Yeah... Twilight Healing just isn't strong enough for her... And these special Senzu Beans aren't really helping too much either... 

Sona: It's okay. I have the equipment to treat her at my house. Tsubaki?

Tsubaki: Right. 

She scooped up Irina in her arms.

Tsubaki: I'll leave her with you.

Sona: Understood. 

Tsubaki soon teleported away, leaving the group to talk amongst themselves. 

Issei: So does that mean Kiba and Xenovia are okay for now?

Asia: Yeah. 

Everyone felt a surprising sharp pain in their chests. 

Issei: It can't be...

Freed walked out from behind a tree.

Freed: Well, Well... Look at what we have here! If it isn't the "We All Took The Bait" club! Welcome... All of you... 

Issei: I figured it was you! 

Sona and Rias both instantly jumped at Freed, extending a hand, ready to attack.

Freed: Woah! Calm down! Don't kill the messenger! Someone wants to talk to you, Red... 

Rias: Which someone?

The sky almost immediately turned a sickening purple, as Freed looked up.

There, in the sky was a Fallen Angel with many black wings. He floated above the group, looking down upon them.

Freed: My boss!

Koneko: A Fallen Angel...

Akeno: And he's got 10 wings. He's of the leader class...

???: It's a pleasure to meet all of you, daughter of the House of Gremory. I am Kokabiel.

Rias: The pleasure is all mine, I'm sure. And please call me Rias. So, you're the leader of the Dark Angels? It's nice to put a face with the name. 

Rias seemed extremely confident in her abilities as she spoke to Kokabiel. There was no fear in her eyes.

Kokabeil: Your crimson hair is breathtaking, just like that crimson-haired Devil King. Even the facial expressions are similar. That is absolutely nauseating. 

Rias: Thank you. Is there something that you'd like to discuss with me, or are you just here to review my appearance? Not that I'm rushing you. It's nice to see a leader this close up. 

Kokabiel: I'm thinking that I'd like to do some damage while I'm here, starting with this institution and moving on to the rest of the town.

Rias: Why would you want to harm our school? 

Kokabeil: I figure if I do, then Sirzechs is bound to appear to help out his sister. What do you think? 

Rias: If you choose to do that, then you will be starting the war between the Angels, Fallen Angels, and Devils all over again. 

Kokabeil: Hahaha! Better than what I got from stealing the Excaliburs. I thought for certain that Micheal would come after me. But all I got was some pathetic Holy Sword users. Honestly, it was disappointing. 

Sona: So, wait... That was your goal?

Rias: You really intend on starting another war? 

Kokabeil: Indeed! After the first 3-year war ended, I was so bored. There was nothing to do! Azazel and Sirzechs were being so passive as to when the next one would start. Fallen Angels, Gods, Devils. They all expect to exist in a state of equilibrium. Which means... I can start a war whenever I please!

Rias: You're a complete war maniac! 

Kokabiel: Obviously! Why do you think I'm using Devils this time. I've got Rias Gremory, sister of Sirzechs Gremory. And Sona Sitri, Leviathan's sister. (yeah more like leviathan raid. amirite?)

Kokabeil: That school of yours will make the perfect war zone. What do you say? Nice time for a war, is it not?!

Kokabeil shot dark energy at the group. 

Rias: Everyone! Leave now!

The group scattered, dodging any incoming attacks, and trying to get away. 

Rias, Sona, and Akeno were able to provide some amount of protection, but the blasts still rained down. 

The sky returned to normal as Kokabeil left. 

Issei: Damn! I didn't see where they went!

Koneko: I saw them. They went towards the school. 

Issei: No...

Sona: They said that they'd start at the Acadamy. It probably won't be the last place, should they succeed. 

Rias: True...

Issei: Now what?! 

Sona: No telling what they'll do exactly. But it would be very easy for a Fallen Angel of that class to wipe us out. 

Issei: I won't let them!

Rias: It's time. We need to move towards the school. 

Issei: On it!

Valper chuckled as his magic circles began to encompas the track arounf the school.

Valper: This'll be fun. I can't wait.

A huge blast of Holy Light extended into the clouds above, giving away their position. 

Valper: Today is the day all my dreams finally come true...

A magic barrier surrounded what was left of Kuoh Acadamy.

Sona: We've covered the entire school with this protective barrier. If nothing drastic happens, it should hold and prevent any collateral damage.

Rias: Thank you, Sona. This means so much.

Sona: Know that it will only work if conditions remain the same. 

Rias: Got it. 

Issei: Damn it. Where is Xenovia, Kiba, and (y/n)? 

Sona: I can keep the barrier up, but I can't keep the school from collasping. 

Rias: Right. We'll be careful. 

Sona: Good luck.

(y/n): Master Roshi!

Roshi: Yes, yes! I felt it too. I know. Go. Help them.

(y/n): Thank you. You've helped me so much.

Roshi: Enough of that. Gte going now. Your friends need you... And (y/n)?

(y/n): Yeah.

Roshi: Be careful. Remember your training. You can do it. 

(y/n): Right. I'll come see you again. I promise.

Roshi: I know you will, (y/n). I know you will.

And with that goodbye, (y/n) flew out into the blue ocean making his way back to the mainland.

(y/n): Xenovia? Where are you? Please be okay...
