Shorts: Part 1
During the writing of both Legends and Gods, there were a lot of things that I had originally wanted to be in the story. However, due to those aspects not fitting in with the main storyline or just being too random to actually put in, I had to exclude them. Throughout this book, I'll be taking a bit of a break from the story from time-to-time to deliver these shorts, which can range from cut content from chapters or just cute character interactions that I took out. Please have just as much fun reading them as I did writing them!

All Grown Up
Akeno sighed as she wiped some sweat off her forehead. It was unusually hot that day and she would've liked nothing more but to get into the air-conditioned club room and relax after the school day. As she neared the door to the Occult Research Club, she could hear voices. Yelling, precisely, from the other side.
"They must've beaten me here!" though Akeno as she turned the door handle.
She opened the door to quite the shock: The middle table was turned over and one of the couches was shoved to the corner of the room. Issei and Asia stood on one side of the room while (y/n) and Koneko stood on the other. What was odder though was the fact that (y/n) was in his Super Saiyan 4 form and Koneko was in her Shirone Mode. They both stared each other down with blank glares. Akeno rushed over to Issei's side of the room.
"What happened here?!" she whispered.
"(y/n) called Koneko a shorty... She got mad and one thing led to another and now we're here!" said Asia.
"Koneko got into that form again to try and match (y/n)'s height, but he turned into a Super Saiyan! I don't know if they're going to fight or just stand there!" muttered Issei.
After a few more moments of awkward tension, (y/n) finally chuckled.
"Still taller than you."
He patted her head as she growled and punched his chest.
"It's not fair... You look so much older when you're using that form" said Koneko under her breath.
"I could say the exact same thing to you! I think you look pretty cute when you're like this!"
"Oh, shut up!" yelled Koneko, earning a laugh from (y/n).
"You guys are so cute!" exclaimed Akeno, "Stay right there!"
(y/n) and Koneko gave her a look as she ran into another room. When she came out, their hearts sank. A camera.
"Smile! C'mon! Smile!"
"No way..." said (y/n), "My pride won't allow it..."
"Whatever! You owe me one anyways from the time I helped you out in math!"
"F-Fine... But just one!"
"One?! We'll just have to make it count then!" said a determined Akeno, "Get in close!"
Koneko put her hands on (y/n)'s chest and he wrapped his arms around her neck, pulling her close.
"This is demeaning..."
"Who cares?! Smile!"
They didn't smile. They just stood there awkwardly, holding each other as the shutter went off. After the ordeal was done, both of them returned to their normal forms and helped to clean up the room.
"I'm going home..." muttered an embarrassed (y/n).
Koneko couldn't help but blush at the whole ordeal, which Akeno took notice of quickly.
"Seems like you enjoyed that a little too much, right Koneko~?"
"S-Shut up..."
"Aww! Looks like someone has a crush!"
"S-Shut up!"

The Truth
"Ever since the Azazel Cup ended two years ago, you've been seen as a threat. However, after the battle with Loki, we tried to challenge that status. Sirzechs and the other Satans have agreed that your actions against the Trickster God have proven yourself to be an ally."
"That sounds great! Where does this 'kind of' come in?"
"That's just what I was about to get to... Despite the decision of the Satans, the vast majority of the Underworld still perceives you as a traitor... So we came to a conclusion: You'll have to leave."
"Leave? What does that mean?" asked (y/n).
"It means that until we can change the public perception of you, you'll have to leave us and go into hiding."
"Damn it..." muttered (y/n), running his hands through his hair.
"I've come to retrieve you so we can prepare for your departure. But before we go, I want to ask you one thing... In the Azazel Cup, what did Vali wish for?"
(y/n) looked to the floor in shame as he rubbed that back of his head.
"Well... To answer that, I'll have to go back... Back to the fight with Baby on Tuffle..."
"Baby?" asked Rias.
"Yeah... It was a few moments after you guys left the planet... In the last few moments, before the planet exploded, Baby and I were locked in battle. He tried desperately to try and kill me, but Super Saiyan 4 was more than enough to handle him. Once I defeated Baby, there was no way off the planet, so I flew as far and as fast as I could as it exploded."
"You were gone for about a month and a half... Was all of that time trying to get back home? When did you encounter the Khaos Brigade?"
"Well, as I flew through space, trying to get back to Earth, I came across a Rift in Time."
"A Rift in Time? What does that mean?"
"Specific Zones of Space that aren't dictated by the Supreme Kai of Time. Time Rifts are direct gateways for mortals to access the past, present, and future. Anyways, I went through the Time Rift and ended up in a previous version of Planet Vegeta."
"Your home planet? How far back did you go?"
"When I went through the Rift, I was met by Yamoshi, the Original Super Saiyan God. I must have traveled back thousands of years for me to be with him there. He taught me how to become a Super Saiyan God. Obviously, the training didn't work until just recently, but you get the point."
"I'm sorry, but what does any of this have to do with the Khaos Brigade?" asked a confused Rias.
"I'm getting there..." replied (y/n), "I trained with Yamoshi for at least a few months, but when I exited the Time Rift, only a few weeks have passed. I'd chalk it up to the weird properties of Time Rifts, to begin with. I eventually found my way back to Earth and tried to meet up with you guys..."
"But that Khaos Brigade found you first..." muttered Rias.
"Exactly. Vali and his crew approached me, wanting me to see his leader..."
"Leader? Ophis stepped down from the Khaos Brigade a few months before..."
"Exactly what I was thinking, but I was willing to play along and maybe take down the threat before it ever reached you... Who I met was unlike anything I've ever experienced..."
"Who?! Who is it?!"
"I don't know... He kept his appearance hidden and his power suppressed. He told me that he was behind it all. Cell getting out of the Dimensional Rift, Kokabiel running amok in Hell, Valper getting the necessary equations to create Baby! It was all him from the beginning!"
"I can't believe it... We've been played for fools since the very beginning!"
"He told me about the upcoming Azazel Cup and offered me a deal: Win the Azazel Cup and give Vali a wish, or watch everyone I love suffer and die. I didn't want to take his deal, but then he released a fraction of his power for just a moment... It was more than all the foes we had faced before combined... It was more than anything I could've ever imagined, so I took his deal, knowing he meant what he said."
"And the wish?"
"Right... Vali's wish at the end of the Cup was to give the Khaos Brigade's leader the strongest body in the Universe."
"I-In the Universe?!"
"In the Universe. The rest is set in stone... Except for Loki... He should've died after the Spirit Bomb, but that man gave Loki some of his energy, allowing him to keep fighting at even higher levels. That means that not only is he back in motion, but I've been betrayed... I failed you..."
"No," said Rias, "You only did what you did to protect us. You did what you thought was right, and I was a fool to ever mistrust you..."
"Thank you, Rias..."

Valkyrie
Rossweisse sighed as she leaned back in her chair after a long day. The last of her students had left and she was just about ready to leave until she heard the door open. She figured that a student had left something behind, but she froze when she saw who was in the doorframe.
It was (y/n).
Almost immediately, Rossweisse ran up and wrapped her arms around him.
"(y/n)! A-Are you okay?! You were injured after the fight with Loki and I thought..."
"I'm fine now," replied (y/n), "I've been in the care of Elmenhilde Karnstein. She served briefly under Issei during the Azazel Cup."
"Ah, yes. I remember..."
(y/n) sat in front of Rossweisse's desk and sighed.
"Are you okay?"
"Kind of... I'm not really supposed to be here right now... I guess you could call it house arrest, but I needed to talk to you."
Rossweisse sat at her desk and listened to him speak.
"First, I wanted to thank you for your help with Loki. I don't think I could've done it without you."
"Please!" laughed Rossweisse, "If anything, I should be thanking you!"
"And I also wanted to say... I'm sorry..."
"Sorry? For what?" asked Rossweisse.
"Sorry for all the times I never took your lessons to heart. Sorry I didn't appreciate what you were doing for me. Sorry that I even ditched outright... It wasn't fair of me to take advantage of your kindness like that."
"I don't hold it against you..." said Rossweisse, "When Rias told me about how you lived as a child... The things you had to go through... I guess I shouldn't have expected someone like you to live with the monotony of something like this, right?"
They laughed and shared more exchanges before (y/n) finally got up.
"I'd better be leaving. If Ms. Karnstein finds out I'm gone, I'll be in a world of trouble!"
"Will we see each other again? We still have so much to catch up on..."
"I hope so..."
Rossweisse hugged (y/n) one last time. He walked out the door he came in and disappeared.

Feminine
"T-This is beyond degrading!" yelled an embarrased (y/n), "First the outfit and now this?!"
"You lost fair and square!" laughed Akeno, "Maybe this will teach you not to make dangerous bets!"
You see, after the last time that (y/n) was defeated by Rias in a game of chess, he played non-stop for 2 weeks to train to beat her. One could only imagine the faces of Kuoh Academy's Chess Club when (y/n) busted in, demanding to play. After rigorous lessons from the Chess Club, (y/n) re-challenged Rias. However, Rias would not play (y/n) unless there were some stakes. If (y/n) won, the title of President of the Occult Research Club would be given to him. If she won, then (y/n) would have to dress up like a girl for 24 hours.
To be honest, the betting was rigged from the start. Rias knew that she would defeat (y/n) with ease. She knew because she singlehandedly destroyed the Chess Club with no effort. She was just using this opportunity to have some fun, and (y/n) was on the receiving end of this tragedy.
So there was (y/n), having to endure the shame of having makeup applied to his face by Akeno and Rias.
"This is so uncool..." muttered (y/n).
"Hey, I'm not the one who came in here all big and mighty challenging me!" giggled Rias, "You brought this on yourself!"
"Oh! Oh! I'll do his hair!" said Akeno.
"Great idea!" agreed Rias.
"In the name of everything that is holy, you will not touch my hair!" yelled (y/n).
"Hush, you!" giggled Akeno as she ran her hands through (y/n)'s black hair.
His head glowed for a moment before his hair grew long and soft. His new feminine hair flowed down to the middle of his back.
"L-Look at me!" screamed (y/n) in disbelief, "Look at my hair! What did you do to my hair?!"
"Calm down! I just put a spell on it to make it look more like mine! It'll only last 24 hours!" assured Akeno.
"And this outfit!" yelled (y/n), "You couldn't have picked a worse outfit!"
(y/n) groaned when he looked again at his new outfit in the mirror. Akeno and Rias had dressed him up in black jeans with a matching black long-sleeved crop-top that showed some of his stomach.
"T-This is so demeaning..." cried (y/n).
"Don't get all beat up!" said Rias, "I think you make for an excellent lady!"
"How is that supposed to make me feel better?!"
"Well, enough waiting around! Let's go show everyone your transformation!" said Akeno, pushing (y/n) toward the doorway.
"N-No way! I can't go out there like this!!"
"A deal's a deal!" laughed Rias as she pushed (y/n) out into Issei's living room. Fortunately, only Asia and Koneko were there to see (y/n). Xenovia and Issei, the ones that (y/n) wanted to see the least when he looked the way that he did, was nowhere to be seen.
Asia held her hands over her mouth in surprise while Koneko began to laugh.
"W-What's so funny?!" (y/n) stuttered.
"Man! Your face!" laughed Koneko, "It's priceless!"
"S-Shut up!" he yelled.
"If it means anything, I think you look nice!" said Asia in a reassuring tone.
(y/n) couldn't even bear to face them, opting to turn his face away in shame.
Suddenly, the door opened and Issei walked in.
"Woah! Who's the hot, new chick?" he asked.
"Oh no!" yelled (y/n), "Even Issei thinks I'm a girl! This can't get any worse!"
"(y/n)?! That's you! You're hot!" he yelled.
"Shut up!" screamed (y/n).
Just when things couldn't get any worse for (y/n), Xenovia walked in.
"I-I feel like I could die..." muttered (y/n).
"Surprise!" cheered Akeno, "Your boyfriend is now a girlfriend!"
"(y-y/n)? Is that you?" giggled Xenovia.
"Y-Yeah..." mumbled (y/n).
Xenovia approached him and ran her hands through (y/n)'s new soft hair.
"A bit of an improvement from your usual hairstyle!" laughed Xenovia.
"O-Oh, please..." groaned (y/n).
She wrapped her arms around his exposed core and kissed him.
"It suits you, you know? This whole getup?"
"Take a good look, because you'll never see me like this again..."
Xenovia leaned in and whispered in his ear.
"Then we'd better make the most of it~"
Needless to say, Xenovia took the lead that night.
(y/n)'s given up on chess forever.
