And 31k YAYAYAYAYYAYYAYYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY

---Cross' POV----

I woke up with a start, finding myself freezing cold, curled up in bed, with the blankets half thrown off of me. I shakily gripped the blankets and pulled them around me in an attempt to stop my shivering.

I ended up feeling colder than before and I twisted round so I could snuggle up to Nightmare for some warmth.

But he wasn't there.

I immediately panicked and looked around the room for him, but I couldn't see him anywhere.

"Nightmare...?" I called, my worried gaze scanning the room for any signs of him.

Seeing there were none I swung my legs out of bed and stood up shakily. I still feel ill. Not as bad as yesterday, but there's still a horrible clenching feeling in my 'gut'.

I shook my head and shuffled over to the door, shivering horribly as chills ran up my spine. My hand was shaking as I reached out for the door handle.

I took in a deep breath and tried to stop the shaking, wincing at how scared I'm acting for no reason. I forced myself to grip the handle and open the door, wincing at the slight creak that rang out.

I shivered as I stepped out on to the landing. Why am I so cold today?

My vision seemed slightly blurred as I stumbled down the stairs, gripping the banister tightly for support.

Once down, I immediately looked for any signs of Nightmare or Dream in the living room and gulped harshly when I confirmed it as empty.

"Nightmare!? Dream!? Anyone!?" I called desperately, genuinely getting worried as to what was happening and why no one was answering me.

In a panic, I stumbled through all the downstairs rooms, looking for any sign of the two brothers. If this was a prank they would have surely come out by now after hearing how scared and desperate I sound.

Which means they're not here...

I ran to the front door and paused. There was a note taped to the door, the messy handwriting of Nightmare visibily scrawled across the slightly faded paper.

I cautiously reached out for it, not really knowing what it said in fear of it being something bad. I looked around and shivered again before beginning to read the messy note.

Cross,

This note is here so that you don't have a panic attack and think we've abandoned you. You were sleeping so deeply and calmly this morning that I didn't wake you up, thinking that you'd feel better than yesterday if you had some good sleep. We've gone to school without you and will come home normal time, you can just chill and sleep at home for the day, or you can come to school if your feeling up to it. Personally I wouldn't bother, but you've always been strange so who knows?
           Anyways hope your feeling better

Nightmare

I read the note over about three times before putting it to the side and glancing at the time. I narrowed my eyes, trying to figure out what they'd be doing right now.

Well....they'd be fifteen minutes away from having break time. So if I move now, I should be able to join in the rest of the day, only having to miss the first few lessons.

I quickly got my school stuff and pulled on my shoes. For some reason, the thought of being left in this house alone for a long time really didn't seem appealing.

I knew it was a bad idea to go to school in my confused and dizzy state, but I felt so weird. It's like a pit in my stomach, something screaming at me not to go to school. But my mind was saying otherwise, telling me to leave the house and meet the others at school.

At the moment my mind was winning and I swallowed as I pulled the door open and walked out, making sure to shut it behind me before starting to walk briskly to school.

As I walked I looked at my surroundings. For some reason, everything looked slightly different. Not physically...they just felt...wrong somehow.

The feeling in my 'gut' increased and I swallowed, forcing myself to ignore it as I walked closer to school.

I had nearly reached the gates when I stopped abruptly. I looked round and frowned. "Chara...?"

I didn't get a response. I scanned the area around me for any sign of the genocidal ghost, but he was nowhere in sight.

"Chara?!"

Still no response.

I looked down at my hand and tried summoned a knife, frowning as it didn't work. Chara was still inside of me, I can sense it. But it's like he's been knocked out or had all the power sucked out of him...

My worried thoughts were cut off as a bell rang out through the school, signifying that break had now started. I shivered and looked around nervously. I'll figure out what happened to Chara later, I need to find the others first.

I walked through the main gates and made my way to the main building, planning to walk right through and out to the field, where the guys are almost certain to be.

I pushed through the forming crowds of people quickly, knowing that I'm still too weak to be fighting the full on forces of a frantic school crowd.

Once I stepped out on to the field I froze. It seemed different... Just like everything else had been. The actual field itself seemed dull and almost gray. Nothing like it's normal vibrant green.

I shook my head and looked over at the bench. I sighed in relief as I saw the guys all sat round it. I immediately pinpointed Nightmare and I smiled for the first time today. Maybe the rest of today will be okay...

I waved and started walking over. They turned to look at me and so frowned. They were all staring at me like I was a complete stranger they'd never seen before. Even Nightmare was looking at me strangely.

I gulped and slowed down a bit, not really sure what to do.

Seeing my normal spot next to Nightmare empty I shuffled over and sat down, feeling horribly uncomfortable.

I glanced at Nightmare to see him staring at me, his one eye narrowed. I blinked and shifted away a bit. "Uh...Nightmare...?"

Nightmare blinked and shook his head before glaring at me.

"Why are you here!?" He growled, his glare and stance becoming hostile.

I tensed. "I-I was feeling better s-so I decided to come in..." I stuttered.

Nightmare growled. "You should have stayed at home idiot. Your not wanted here."

I blinked and shook. "Wh-What do you mean...?"

Nightmare was about to say something when the bell rang harshly and we all jumped.

The guys all stood up, like mindless zombies as they walked over the field and over to the school buildings.

I looked at Nightmare and he sighed, roughly tugging me to my feet with a tentacle and pulled me along.

I didn't resist and let him pull me across the field. This isn't Nightmare. He'd never act like that. None of these people are who they are. Something's off with all of them.

But what?

We walked down the corridors to get to our lesson, science, we stopped outside, where a teacher and the rest of our class were stood outside, just by the door. I flinched as Nightmare let go of me and shot me and unreadable look.

"Now then class. Today your going to be meeting your new science Teacher. Be nice as he's new, and I hope you enjoy your learning experience with him." The teacher said before opening the door and stepping back.

The class started streaming in and I hung back a bit with Nightmare, waiting for the crowd to die down.

Once everyone else was in I stepped forwards and started to walk into the classroom. But I stopped abruptly in the doorway as I saw who was stood at the front of the class.

It was him.

I cried out in protest as Nightmare shoved me in and shut the door behind him, pulling me along with him to our seats.

I was shaking violently and felt faint with fear. He looked at me and smiled. That sickly sadistic smile he'd give us every day. The same smile he had on his face as he murdered my brother.

"Greetings Class. I am X-Gaster. But you are to call me professor X. I'll be taking over as your new Science Teacher. I can already tell just by looking at you that this year going to be extremely productive..."

He stared at me for the last statement and I whimpered quietly, gripping the sleeve of Nightmare's hoodie tightly.

Nightmare growled and glared at me, shaking my grip loose. "What's wrong with you today!?" He hissed.

I breathed heavily and shook. "I-Its h-him the one th-that that...th-the one that–"

"No talking in my Class boys."

I stiffened and looked down at my desk, too scared to look him in the eye.

"Is he feeling okay?"

I looked up in fear as he stood next to me, a look of false concern on his face.

"Actually he's been ill lately... " Nightmare said.

I shuffled my chair away from him and clung onto Nightmare. "No no I-I'm fine! Don't worry about me!"

He smiled at me. "Don't lie to me Cross. Now come outside with me."

I nearly fainted right then. I griped Nightmare tightly and stared at him desperately. "Please Nightmare no. Don't let him take me! H-He's the one th-that did everything to me! H-He'll kill me! Please!"

Nightmare stared at me emmotionlessly then stared at X. I nearly cried in relief as he wrapped his tentacles around me and pulled me closer.

But that cry of relief quickly turned to one of fear and terror as Nightmare lifted me up with them and handed me over to him.

I kicked and thrashed as he grabbed me harshly, one hand gripping my arm, the other squeezing on my shoulder.

"NIGHTMARE NO HELP ME PLEASE!" I screamed as he dragged me along, not caring if I made a scene.

Nightmare only watched as X slapped a hand over my mouth and pulled me out of the classroom.

I whimpered as he slammed me against the wall by my neck, his hand choking me as I kicked my legs desperately.

"Well Well well..." He purred. "I've finally found you..."

I was crying uncontrollably and struggling frantically. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY FRIENDS!?"

He grinned. "I haven't done anything Cross...this is all your doing..."

The last thing I saw before I blacked out was him pulling a long injection needle from his pocket, that sadistic grin growing even larger.

"Sweet Dreams my little experiment."
