---Cross' POV----

I glanced at Killer as he eyed the knives in the cafeteria. I grabbed my cutlery and quickly shifted along the que, not really wanting him to suddenly stab me.

I scanned the food and quickly selected the first thing I saw, which happened to be sushi. I took it and quickly left, leaving my cutlery because I didn't need it.

I ran quickly over to the benches, the others were already there, chewing on their own food. Dust seemed to be pestering Nightmare about something as he ate.

As I came over Dust looked up and grabbed me, making me jump and nearly drop my sushi. "Cross you need to slap some sense into Nightmare!" He said, seeming deadly serious.

I looked at him questioningly then glanced at Nightmare, he just stared at me and took a bite out of his food. "Uh, whats he doing wrong?"

Dust groaned and pointed at what Nightmare was eating. "Tell him that canabalism!"

I looked down to see he was also eating sushi, apparently there's squid in this. I suddenly understood what Dust was on about and laughed.

Nightmare looked up at me, a pissed expression on his face. "How is this canablism?"

Dust sighed dramatically and pointed at the sushi. "There's squid in that." He then pointed at Nightmare, indicating at his tentacles. "This here, also squid."

I laughed and looked at Nightmare. "I'd say he's more octopus than squid."

Nightmare growled and Dust laughed. "That's still practically canabalism!"

"Shut up both of you before I strangle you." Nightmare threatened.

I laughed and sat down, leaning against him gently. He huffed, but didn't move me, letting me get comfy as I continued eating my sushi.

"Hey uh, where'd Killer go?" Horror asked, looking around.

"Umm, he was staring at the cafeteria knives when I left him." I said.

Nightmare sighed and rest his head against mine. I let out a quiet squeak and felt my face heat up. I didn't say anything, in case that made him sit up straight again. This position is really relaxing anyway.

Nightmare sat up straight again as Killer came into view, he had his food, and the glint of cutlery was visible in his hands.

"Uh, Killer you don't need a knife to eat that." Dust pointed out.

Killer glanced at me and smirked, I'll put it to good use don't worry. I eyed him warily and he smiled innocently before sitting down next to me and beginning to eat.

Nightmare glanced at Killer then too his knife, placing a protective hand on my leg, making me blush. Killer noticed and growled softly, making Nightmare hiss silently.

"Calm down you two." Dust muttered. "I swear your all children."

Nightmare turned and looked at him, an expression of 'shut up' on his face. Dust sighed and did so, turning to eat his food in silence.

Nightmare shifted along on the bench and I did the same, trying to get away from Killer and that knife. Killer glanced at me and smirked, clearly getting the reactions he wanted.

I swear to god if he tries to stab me with that knife I'll stab him twice and even harder. I momentarily glanced at Chara as he appeared next to me, eyeing Killer. "He really doesn't like you does he?"

I didn't react, not wanting the others to think I'm crazy. That would end everything for me, just like the last school. "Earth to Cross?" Chara asked, clicking his fingers in front of my face. I tried to ignore him and looked down, continuing to eat my sushi.

"Ohh, I see what your doing. You don't want them thinking that your crazy. Am I right?" I didn't answer and glanced at Nightmare and the others. "Your scared that they won't see you the same and will kick you out like all your other 'friends' you've made hm?"

I glared at him then quickly looked back down as Nightmare glanced at me. "What did you glare at just then?"

I internally panicked. "Umm, I was staring at a bird."

Nightmare laughed. "That glare was pretty intense, what did the bird do?"

"Nothing." I mumbled, looking back down at my food.

"Sure..."

---Time Skip----------------------

I had just left school and was walking down the road to go home when I felt something tug on the sleeve of my jacket. I turned around to see Nightmares brother Dream.

"Oh, hey Dream. What do you want?"

He looked back in the direction of school and I did as well to see Nightmare there, a bored expression on his face as he walked. "We walk this way, I was wondering if you wanted to walk with us."

I felt my face heat up a bit. "Oh, o-okay."

Dream smiled and ran back, grabbing Nightmares arm and dragging him along with us and to me. "H-Hi." I mumbled shyly. Nightmare rolled his eye and continued walking, looking up at the sky at the same time.

"Its going to rain." Nightmare said suddenly, looking warily up at the growing dark grey clouds. I glanced up as well and let out a squeak as Dream grabbed my arm and pulled me along, a bit faster than before.

"Woah, why the sudden rush?"

Dream continued speed walking and I looked up to see Nightmare was suddenly a few good meters in front of us, having put on a sudden burst of speed. He kept looking up at the sky nervously, as if a meteor was going to strike at any moment.

I felt a sudden drop of rain on my nose and I blinked. Another hit my cheek and another on my hand. I looked up to see Nightmare booking it and sprinting.

I had about a second to process what was going on and then the heavens opened. The rain started off fairly light, but quickly turned to a torrential downpour. We were drenched within a minute.

"COME ON!" Dream yelled as he tugged me along. I ran with him, trusting that he knew where he was going. I groaned as I thought about how far away my house is from here. I'm going to be walking for at least half an hour in this torrential rain. What fun.

Dream continued running with me, turning down roads and skidding round corners. "WE'RE NEARLY THERE!" He yelled.

I sprinted faster and Dream ran by my side. "HERE!" He suddenly skidded sharply round a corner and down a drive to one of the biggest houses I've ever seen on a normal road like this.

I could make out the figure of Nightmare huddled in the porch, hissing at the rain. Dream run up and panted, pulling some keys out of his pocket and unlocking the door quickly. Nightmare was inside quicker than I could blink, without even a backwards glance.

Dream ran inside but then skidded to a stop and turned around to face me. "Is it far to your place?"

I shivered and nodded, not too keen on the thought of having to have to walk or run home in this downpour. Nightmare poked his head out from a random doorway and looked at me quickly before disappearing again.

"Uh, I guess I'll go then..." I muttered, looking back out at the downpour.

"No no no!" Dream said suddenly, making me turn back and look at him. "I'm not letting you go out there in that rain to walk all the way home!" He walked forwards and grabbed my arm, tugging me in. "You can stay until the rain stops, or...until you want to leave I guess."

I nodded and shivered, my clothes still drenched from the rain. "Umm, well Nightmares through there, I'm gonna go get changed." Dream muttered before running upstairs. I looked around and sighed, staying for a little while wouldn't be a bad idea would it?
