Let him Go

---Horror's POV----
"Your going to pay for that." The man growled, still clutching his bleeding hand. I readied the axe and grinned.
"Am I?" I asked innocently, edging closer to him.
The man lunged at me and I swung my new weapon again, hitting him in in the chest with the blunt side of the axe, sending him crashing to the ground, completely winded.
"Stay down." I growled as I stepped over his body.
The other two men looked at me, there was another human and some tiger-looking monster left. He had the kid pinned up against the wall still and didn't look like he was planning on releasing him. "Who's next?" I asked.
The remaining human growled and stepped closer, pulling what looked like two knives out of his pocket. I checked myself and gripped the handle of the axe tighter. I'd have to pay attention a bit more with this guy.
He advanced forwards and I took a step back, trying to shake off the cocky attitude that was settling onto me. "Lets go kid." He growled, beckoning me forwards.
I grinned and spun the axe in the air before charging forwards, swinging the axe behind me, ready to slice it into any part of his body.
He lashed out with both arms, swinging the knives in the direction of my face, I leant back and dropped, sliding on my back under his legs, letting the axe connect with his ankle.
The man collapsed, howling in pain as he gripped his ankle. "Great." I muttered. "Now there's even more blood on this thing. Oh well."
I rolled to my feet to face the tiger monster. "Let him go." I growled, indicating to the person he still had pinned against the wall. That's when I realised they were a skeleton. And for some reason they looked oddly familiar.
The monster let go of the skeleton and he immediately collapsed, staring at me with terrified, wide eyes. The tiger guy cracked his knuckles and rolled his head back, making his neck click.
"You might have bested those two." He growled. "But I'm not gonna be so easy."
I gripped the axe tighter and crouched a bit, going into a fighting stance, waiting for him to make the first move. He seemed to be doing the same as neither of us did anything for a moment. Then he suddenly lunged at me, huge claws springing from his hands.
I dove to the side and hissed as one of the claws grazed my arm, he spun around and kicked me, sending me crashing on to the floor. The impact of me hitting the floor caused the axe to fly out of my hands and scrape across the floor, stopping by the terrified skeleton.
I went to grab it but the monster stepped in between us, blocking my path.
This could be a problem.
"Not so tough now are you?" The tiger guy growled, slowly walking closer to me. I looked around in a panic and grabbed the thing closest to me, which happened to be an umbrella, and swung it in front of me as he swiped with his claws.
I looked at the umbrella as it fell apart in my hands. God I'm so dead. The tiger guy grinned as he saw that I had come to the realisation.
I backed myself up against the wall and he advanced closer, enjoying my fear. He placed a claw up against my chest and pressed down, making me hiss.
Movement behind me made me notice the skeleton, he had crawled over to the axe. The tiger guy had ignored it once I'd dropped it, thinking it couldn't do any more damage.
I guess he was wrong.
The skeleton grasped the axe and shakily walked over to us, raising the axe over his head. He then swung it down with all his might, the blade sinking into the tiger guys arm.
He roared in pain and spun around, grabbing the skeleton and slamming him against the opposite wall. I lunged for the axe, that was now lying on the floor, and grabbed it, swinging it behind me before connecting it with his back.
The tiger guy went stiff before shaking violently and releasing the skeleton, he ducked under his arms and tripped over nothing, falling down next to my feet.
We both watched as the body collapsed and went limp, occasionally twitching.
"D-Did we kill him?" The skeleton stuttered.
I didn't answer and walked over to the body, placing my foot on his back and leaning down to grip the axe handle. It was still stuck in his back.
I pulled and it came out suddenly with a sickening squelching sound.
It was slick with blood and had small bits of flesh plastered on the once clean metal. The skeleton gagged and rolled onto his knees, throwing up a yellow bile. I dropped the axe and walked over to him, wanting to see if he'd been injured or hurt in any way.
"Hey, you good there?" I asked quietly, crouching down to their level.
He was shaking violently and he looked down at the floor, his hands gripped into fists. At the sound of my question he looked up at me with terrified eyes. His eye lights were pinpricks and he looked so pale that he could have been a ghost.
I leant closer, and that's when I recognised him.
"LUST?!?!" I cried.
He grimaced and nodded, pushing himself up onto his knees and taking shaky breaths. "Well...that was fun...." He choked, obviously being sarcastic.
I didn't say anything and walked over to where I'd dropped the axe, leaning down and picking it up. I gagged a bit at the sight of all the blood, but I wiped it clean on the tiger guys fur, getting rid of most of the blood and bits of flesh.
I then shifted the axe over my shoulder and walked back over to Lust, who was trying to get to his feet. I held out a hand and he glanced at it warily, as if wondering if I'd trick him or something. "I'm not going to hurt you." I said, looking into his eyes.
He muttered something I couldn't hear under his breath then reached up and gripped my hand. I pulled him up and he stood shakily for a second before his legs gave way and he fell into my arms. I only just caught him.
"Woah! woah! You okay?" I asked, putting the axe back down so that I could support him better. Lust didn't say anything for a moment before sniffing and shaking his head.
I didn't say anything and scooped him up into my arms. He let out a squeak of protest but quickly relaxed in my arms. I (somehow) managed to pick up the axe as well, making sure it didn't touch Lust.
He clutched me tightly as I stepped round the bodies of the other two men. I hadn't killed either of them, but then were still down on the floor, groaning in pain.
We walked out of the alleyway and into the dieing sunlight, I hadn't realised how late it had got. How long had we been in that alleyway? It certainly didn't seem like long.
Lust squirmed in my grip and I looked down at him. "What is it?" I whispered.
He looked up at me then looked away again. "W-Well, don't I need to w-walk home now?" He stuttered.
"Are you kidding me?" I asked, "This place is even more dangerous at night."
Lust tensed and gripped onto me tighter, clearly wondering what my definition of 'worse' is seeing what he'd just gone through.
"S-So what am I going to do?" He asked timidly, clearly not wanting to be left to make his own way home in this place.
"I'm taking you back with me." I said simply, walking back across the road and in the direction of my apartment block.
"T-To yours!?!?" He squeaked.
"Its that or I leave you to fend for yourself and make your own way home."
He clutched me tighter and shook at my final statement. I rolled my eyes and walked up the crumbling steps to my apartment block. I kicked open the main double doors with my foot and walked into the cold and lightly smelly reception room.
I walked right past the sign in desk. We were supposed to have a receptionist, but she was rarely ever here and spent most of her time down the pub.
I ignored the lift and took the stairs. The lift has a tendency to brake once your in it. I'm only on the fourth floor, so the stairs shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Lust looked around, an expression of terror and confusion on my face. He's probably thinking how someone could live in a place like this.
I walked down the corridor of floor four and reached my door. I placed Lust down and pulled out a key from my back pocket, quickly inserting it into the lock and twisting it open.
I pushed the door open and walked in, Lust slowly followed behind me, shutting the door cautiously behind me.
I looked over at him and grinned.
"Make yourself at home."
