Zane's P.O.V

Pixal stayed over-night, with the permission of Ed and Edna, of course.

Me and Pixal were talking when my phone buzzed(Ed and Edna were able to buy me a phone, and I am quite grateful for that).

I looked at the text I got. It was from Jay. That is odd. Isn't he in his room?

I read the text: 'Zane! Please reply quickly! It's an emergency!'

I texted back: 'What is wrong, Jay?'

I got and instant reply: 'I'm with Cole and Kai-' I stiffened when I read Kai but continued to read. '-I don't really have time to explain so just please listen!!! We're stuck in a cave which is located in a forest and we can't go back to the city for....reasons! And we have an unconscious Lloyd here and we have people chasing us!!! Help!!!'

My eyes widend. My friends (one ex-friend) were in trouble! I quickly stood up and Pixal seem to notice that something was wrong.

"What's wrong, Zane?" Pixal asked. "My friends are in trouble! I can't really explain right now. We have to find them!" I said. "Where are they?" Pixal said. "Jay said that they were in a cave that is located in a forest," I reply. "And he said they're being chased by unknown people."

Pixal nodded. "Let's go," she said and we quickly left my room. As we walked outside, we were met with Ed and Edna.

"Oh, Zane! There you are!" Edna said. "Have you seen Jay? He hasn't come home," Ed said.

I didn't want to worry them, but I didn't want to lie either, so I said the first thing that came into mind.

"Jay stayed over in one of his friends house," I said. "And he might be back once school's over." I really forgot that today is a Thursday.

"Oh, okay. Well then, where are you two going?" Edna asked me and Pixal.

"Umm...we're going to...hang out somewhere," I reply.

"Ooh! Is it a date?" Edna said. I felt myself blush, and I could tell Pixal was too.

"N-No! Nothing like that, Edna," I said, stuttering. "Oh, well, have fun you two!" Edna said as me and Pixal left.

Once outside the van, we ran all the way to Ninjago City, but not before putting on our disguises.

Jay's P.O.V

Good news: I texted Zane and he reply fast.

Bad news: Cole, Kai, Lloyd, and I are still in the cave with the strange people chasing us.

Good news: We found an exit.

Bad news: Two of those people are nearby.

Good news: We thought of a distraction.

Bad news: Someone has to distract them for the others can escape and the person distracting them can't escape without them following them out the cave and the person leading them to us.

Good news: Zane is on his way.

Bad news: He's taking too long!!!

"What do we do?!" I whisper-yell at Cole and Kai.

"Alright, um...someone has to carry Lloyd since he's still unconscious, and we have to make a plan when one of us is distracting those two for the others can escape and-" Cole was cut off by Kai.

"Here," Kai gave Cole the unconscious Lloyd. "Wait, why-" Cole started, holding Lloyd.

"You guys, get ready to make a run for it," Kai said. "What? Kai-" I started. "And tell Zane I'm sorry for calling him a dumb robot and calling him that he's nothing but a stupid pile of wire and gears if I don't make it," Kai added. When me and Cole realized what was going to happen, it was too late.

"Kai, wait-!" I started.

It was too late... Kai ran out from his hiding spot.

"Hey!!!" Kai yelled at the two people, who turned around and looked at him. "Catch me if you can!!!" Kai then turned away from the way we were hiding and ran a different direction, the two people following him.

"Come on! Before they come back!" I said, running to the exit, Cole behind me.

Once out the cave, we ran a little farther from the cave and we then stopped to catch our breaths. Cole placed Lloyd down in the grass.

"I...I can't believe Kai did that...to save us," I said.

"Yeah," Cole said.

Kai's P.O.V

I kept on running away from these two people.

Only one thing came to mind: 'I'm stupid and this is how I'm gonna die.'

I had to lose them. But how? They're right behind me!!

Then, an idea popped inside my head. I know what to do...

Zane's P.O.V

Me and Pixal were in Ninjago City. We were trying to find a nearby forest.

As we were looking, we tumbled upon an area crawling with police and people. Pixal and I were confused, what happened?

There was a truck, and a big rock that seemed to be growing out from the ground. The truck was burned from what I can see.

Some police officers were talking to citizens who had witnessed the tragic accident. I went up to one of them. "Excuse me, but, would you mind telling me what happened?" I asked.

"There was this truck that was gonna almost run over this high school student," the person said. "Then all of a sudden, this other high school student came over, hit his fists onto the ground, and 'BOOM!' a giant rock appears out of nowhere! The truck caught on fire, but here's the weirder thing: A high schooler, had set it in fire! Weird. And then the person next to him, another high schooler, shot water with their hands! Super, weird."

"Do you know where they went?" I ask. The person pointed to a forest.

"There, I suppose," the person said and left.

Pixal and I looked at each other before running into the forest.

Jay's P.O.V

"Agh!!!! What do we do?!" I yell. "Zane is taking way too long! The people might come out any second and kill us and Kai is probably gone!!!!"

Cole sighed. "It's gonna be alright, Jay," he said.

"I hope you're right," I said.

All of a sudden, there was movement in a bush.

"Ahhhhhhh!!!! Monster!!!!" I yell and hid behind Cole. Cole also seemed scared.

The bush then stopped moving and out came two figures.

"If you're gonna eat us..." I started. "Eat him first!" I pointed at Cole. "He's filled with cake!"

Cole looked offended. "Am not!"

The two figures came out to the light and it was to be Zane and Pixal.

Oh...it was Zane and Pixal.

WAIT!!! IT'S ZANE AND PIXAL!!!

"ZANE!!!!" I yell as I stopped hiding behind Cole and hugged Zane. "THANK GOODNESS YOU'RE HERE!!!"

I let go of Zane. "We need your help! Lloyd's unconscious! Me and Cole are being chased by random people! And Kai's probably dead!!!!!! WHAT DO WE DO?!?!?"

Cole hit the back of my head. "Jay! You're making Zane worried!"

I rubbed the spot where Cole hit me. "Sorry! But it's true!" I said.

I looked at Zane. His eyes were wide. "Kai is....d-dead?" His legs were slightly shaking.

"That's what we think...for now," Cole said placing a hand on Zane's shoulder. "He also told me to tell you something."

Zane looked at Cole. "What is it?" Zane asked. "He said that...he's sorry for calling you a dumb robot and calling you that you're nothing but a stupid pile of wire and gears if he doesn't make it," Cole said to Zane.

Zane looked down. "He didn't make it, did he?"

We all looked down. "I forgive him..." Zane said, a few tears in his eyes.

"And he is thankful," a voice said from behind us. We turned around.

"Kai!!!" I yell in happiness. He had dirt in his shirt, pants and face, and his hair was a mess. He also had part of his hair cover his eye.

"You're alive!" I said, with a bit of happy tears in my eyes.

"Barely," Kai replied with a small chuckle. He then looked at Zane. "Do you really forgive me?" Kai asked Zane, nervously.

Zane nodded while having a smile in his face as he walked over to Kai and gave him a hug. Kai hugged back.

Third Person

"How did you survive?" Jay asked Kai once he and Zane stopped hugging.

"It's a...long story..." Kai admitted. "But anyways, is Lloyd okay?"

"Ummm...I would say kinda, but, he's still unconscious," Cole said.

"Is he breathing?" Kai worriedly ask.

Everyone fell silent.

"Shit..." Cole said. He quickly bent down to Lloyd and checked if he was breathing.

"Is he breathing?" Kai asked again.

Cole nodded and Kai sighed in relief. Cole stood up once again.

"Anyone have water?" Jay asked.

"Nope." (Zane.)

"No." (Cole.)

"Noooooo...." (Kai.)

"No." (Pixal.)

"Dang it!" Jay said. "I'm thirsty!!!" "Don't worry, Jay," Zane said. "We'll be out this forest in no time!"

"Umm...but how are we," Jay pointed to himself, Cole, and Kai. "Suppose to go back to Ninjago City? Did you see the people?! And the police!! They're gonna arrest us if they see us!!!"

"Wait, what do you mean they're gonna 'arrest you'?" Zane asked.

Cole, Jay, and Kai looked at Zane. "Well...uh..." Cole started. "We might or might have not..." Kai said. "Gotten in trouble with the police..." Jay finished.

Zane blinked. "How?" he asked. "Well, for me and Cole, Cole used his powers, and the police saw him as a threat, as for me, I used...lightning to almost hit them..." Jay said.

"Wait! You didn't tell me you had lightning powers," Cole said.

"Well, you didn't ask," Jay said back. "Plus, I just realized now!!!"

"What about you, Kai?" Cole asked. "What's your excuse?"

"Well...I might have set the truck on...fire..." Kai admitted, sheepishly.

"Wait...Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait!" Jay said. "You're the one who set the truck on fire?!"

"Uh....yeah???" Kai said. "How?!" Jay asked.

"Ummm...the fire came out from my hands....?" Kai said uncertain.

"Fire powers?!" Cole said. "Maybe...I don't know!" Kai said. "Nya also-" Kai cut himself off. He forgot about Nya with this whole trouble thing.

"Shit!!!!! Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!!" Kai said over and over again. "Kai? What's wrong?" Jay asked.

"Nya got captured! Or kidnapped! Or- whatever! She's gone!! Fuck!!! How could I forget!!!" Kai said. "Nya's gone?!" Jay asked.

"Because of those damn police officers!" Kai said. "Now I don't know where she is!"

"Okay, let's calm down a little," Cole said. "And think about this. We might get caught in Ninjago City and get arrested, plus, we need to get Lloyd help, and we need to get Nya. How do we do this?"

"Maybe we could stop by Morro's house," Zane suggested. "There, we can give him Lloyd."

"What if he tries to kill us?!?!?" Jay said. "Jay, we literally just got into an argument, I don't think he'll try to kill us," Kai said.

"Zane's right. We have to stop by Morro's house, but we have to be careful not to get caught by any police," Cole said. "Then, we'll find Nya. Sound good?"

Everyone nodded.

"Alright then, let's go," Cole said. Kai picked Lloyd up from the ground. But then he realized something. Sure, he was told by Cole that Lloyd was breathing, but now, he couldn't hear the breathing sounds. From there Kai knew: Lloyd wasn't breathing.
