Tis The Season For Revenge Part:3
I have over 100 reads. Honestly never belived I would get even close to that many. I'm pretty sure that I'm a crappy writter.

It was the day before New Years Eve and Britt has been shady all day. That is never a good sign with her. It usually means that she has something dangerous planned for latter. What I can't be sure, but I know it won't be good for someone, and I have a very good guess as to who that someone is. So I've kept an eye on her all day long. She talked on the phone to someone twice, but I couldn't figure out who. She would hang up before I could get close enough to hear the person on the other line. Then she practically avoided me all day, which she never does. It was really starting to get on my nerves. So I made a plan to find out what she was up to tonight.
It's ten at night now and everyone is asleep. Everyone but me and her. I layed under my bed covers still in my day cloths as I waited for her to make her next move. I heared my bedroom door open and I layed still to pretend that I'm asleep. I know that she's at the door checking to see if I'm alseep. She stands there for a long while before closing the door. I wait untill I hear her footsteps go down the stairs before getting out of bed quietly. I reach out for my new glasses on table that Britt got for me for Christmas. I check to make sure that Mattie is a sleep before I slip out of my room. I close my bedroom just as she closed the front door.
I rush down the stairs and quickly put on my winter boots and coat. As quitly as I could I sliped out of the house. I could see her figure jogging down the road. I didn't have to worry about loosing her because it was still snowing, making her leave fresh tracks for me to follow. I wait for a while, then I took off in her direction. I tried to stay as quiet as possible so she wouldn't hear me come up behind her. I wanted to see where she was heading before she relises that I'm here. She didn't want me out here for a reason and I wanted to know why.
It doesn't take long untill I realise where we were heading. My suspisions were confirmed when the apartments came into view. I slowed down and walked quieter incase she was still around. I hid behind a bush as I looked out twords Ivans apartment front entrance. No one was there. I glanced around both ways, then headed to the front door. There Britts trackes mixed with much larger ones that could only belong to Ivan. Judging by his scattered prints it looked like Ivan was waiting for her for a minute.
'What are those two up too so late at night? Why is Ivan involved with one of Britts plans?' I wondered as I followed their tracks away from the apartments.
It was a long walk to where we were going. I noticed that we were getting to the much nicer part of town. The houses got bigger and nicer the further I whent. Some had some kind of wall or fence around them to keep people out. The further we whent the further the houses where spaced out and the nicer the yards where. This was the rich part of town that my friends were sneaking around in. Dangerous because of all the security camras around the place, but brit seamed to really know her way around all of them. That scared me. It made me wonder just how long she had been planing something like this.
As the night dragged on it got colder and colder as the soon to be snow storm picked up. I was starting to shiver when I noticed sounds coming from up ahead from behind as large brick wall that surrounded one of the nicer houses. I started moving as quietly as I could as I got closer and closer to the voices. Within seconds I identifed them as my two friends. I ducked down behind a corner and listened to them.
"He is asleep, da?" I heard from what could only be Ivan.
"Yes. I watched him for like, five minutes. He's asleep." I heard Britt respond.
'Oh, how wrong you are my friends.' I thought with a smirk. 'Damn, I would make a kick ass spy.'
"Are you sure we wont be cought for this? This is very dangerouse if we get caught." I heard Ivan say in a hushed voice.
"Yes. The camras in their house is disabled, I put a repeat on your apartments camras, and the fresh snow will cover our bootpritns. We still need to be fast if we want to get this done soon. It's too cold to be out all night." I heard Britt say in a strain as if she was struggling with something.
I decided to make my presents known then. I walked out from behind the wall, leaned against it, and glared at them. They both looked up at me in shock. "You're right Britt. It is much too cold to be out here, so the question remians, why are you two out here?"
They stared at me for a moment longer before Ivan turned to Britt with a glare. "I though you said he would be sleeping."
"He was supost too." She said as she put down two larg cilinders. On the front it said car oil in big black letters. I put two and two together and looked up at them wide eyed.
"You guys aren't." I stared at them wide eyed. I looked to my left where their were more containers. Their had to at least ten, big containers of car oil stacked in a small pyrimid.
"We are. She deserves to be punished for what she did. She needs to learn that she can't do just whatever she wants to everyone and get away with it."
"She's going to know who did this!" I hissed angrily as I gestered to the buckets.
"Da. And if she says who she'll have to admit why. She'll have to rat herself out." Ivan said with a dark smile.
"What if you guys get cought? This is tresspassing, breaking and entry, plus destruction of property! You can go to jail for this shit!" I whisper shouted at them. "And what if they wake up and see you!"
"First, we already know the possible consicuenses. We have been descusing them all week long and we're both fine with the risk. Two, they wont see us beacuse they are gone for the next two nights. They're at their grandmas house or something for the holidays. Three, we're still doing this. Someone has to teach this little bitch a lesson." Britt said as she picked up her tubs again.
"This isn't the way to teach someone." I told her.
"Look, Alfred. Their are three kinds of people in this world. Villians, heros, and antieheros. I am an antiehero. I defeat the bad guy however way I see fit. You're a hero. You do things by the book and everyone loves you for that. But sometimes you need an antiehero to really get things done." She said as she walked up tot he house with Ivan right behind her with four tubs of his own. "Now, either go home, or stay out of our way."
"This is wrong." I pleaded as I followed her as well.
"Hurting that girl was wrong. Bulling the one boy untill he had to be checked into a mental hospital because he tried to comit suicied was wrong. Pushing you off a balcony, possibly seriously hurting you, and dumping car oil on you in public, completly humiliating you, was wrong. If you want to stop things like that from happening again you need to declaw the cat." She said from down a hall.
I bounced where I stood for a moment as I watched my friends start to pour oil all over Shikies house. I glanced back and forth between them and the oil tubs outside the house. Britt was right. She won't learn any other way then this. This is probably the only way to stop her from hurting even more people. That realisation sucked as I alwaysed belived that two wrongs don't make a right, but I guess sometimes it's the only way things will get any better. I groaned as I steped back outside the house. I refuse to have any part of this, but I wont stop them or leave. Instead I walk back over to the tubs and waited.
I watch as Britt and Ivan come in and out of the house. Either taking out an empty bucket or bringing in a new one. I still didn't agree with what they were doing, but I wasn't leaving them to get cought. So I played look out. If they where going down, then I was going with them. After all I am the reaason they are here in the first place.
The whole time I kept watch I was a nervouse wreak. I kept biting my nails and freezing up eaverytime I heared a car. The longer I wait the more snow that falls and the colder I get. I rub my hands together in an attemp to get some warmth in them. I look up as I hear Britt walk over to get the last tub. I reach a hand out to stop her. She turns to my shivering form, consern in her eyes.
"Is something wrong Alfred?" She asked.
"Other than the fact that I'm about to turn into Frosty, no. I just had a question." I said. "Why did you recruit Ivan? You've never allowed anyone to help you before. Not even me."
"Oh, I never asked him for help. He came to me demanded to let him help. Said he would do something on his own if I refused to let him tag along. It was really cute actualy." She laughed.
"Wait, so someone asked to help you, and you allowed them. You've never done that before eaither! What gives? Why'd you let him?" I asked her completly shocked.
"Lets just say he had a very convincing argument." She smiled warmly at me. "Now, I have to dump this last tub in the Princeses room. I'll be back in a little bit, then we'll leave."
With that she left me alone behind the wall agin. I lean back against the wall and huddle in myself to trap in heat. My winter coat wasn't as good as most. It was actualy pretty thin, so I couldn't speand a lot of time outside before I would start to freeze. I checked my phone to see that it was already 1:30. Meaning I had been out her for three and a half hours. I shakenly put my phone back in my pocket and blew on my hands again. I cursed myself for not grabbing any gloves in my rush to follow Britt.
I stood there shivering for awhile with snow falling on me when I suddenly felt a warm and a heavy weight placed on my shoulders. I opened my eyes to see that a large, beige coat was placed on my shivering form. I looked up to see Ivan looking down at me with consern. I looked at the coat and back at him questionly.
"You are cold, da?" I nodded. "Coat will keep you warm. It kept me warm in Russias winter, it will easily keep you warm in this winter."
"Don't you need it dude? It's, like, hella freezing out here." I said as I started to take it off. His hands reached out and stoped me. Instead he placed the coat more securly around my shoulders and started to buttoned it up.
"I will be fine. I am waring many sweaters and a scarf. Your coat is thin, you will not be fine." He said as he adjusted the coat a little. I had slowly stoped shivering in the warmth provided by his heavy coat. "We need to head home soon. It is much too cold to stay out this late any longer."
I looked down shyly as I didn't know what to say. It was such a kind act. My hands were still cold so I tried warming them up by placing them in the coat under my chin. I figured that my body heat would warm them up. I only had them under the coat for a second when I felt Ivan take them. He wraped his gloved hands around mine and brought them up to his mouth. I looked at him confused when he started to blow warm air agaisnt them. I blushed lightly as he blew and rubbed warmth back into them.
"You need to keep your hands warm or else you risk lossing fingers." He said as rubbed them one last time before giving them back to me. I instently put them in pockets to perserve the heat.
I stared up at him, a light blush still on my cheeks. The street lights barely illuminated his figure, but his ever present soft smile was unmistakably there. "Thank you." I said softly as I ducked my head shyly again. "This really means a lot to me."
"It is no problem." His smile got a little wider.
"What isn't a problem?" I heard Britt say. I turned to see that she had returned and had all the buckets stacked neatly in eachother of her arms. With her hands she held the lids. She looked at Ivan, confusion clear in her eyes when she saw that he no longer had his coat, before her gaze fell on me. Her eyes widened when she saw that I was in Ivans coat. "Oh, Alfred. Why didn't you say you were cold? We would have gotten done quicker. Come on, lets get you home before you both die of pneumonia."
"I am used to such cold. Alfred is only one who will get pneumonia." Ivan said with a deep laugh.
"Eaither way we still need to get inside soon. The storm is picking up and we still need to get rid of these tubs." Britt said as she started down the road ahead of us.
"So what did you two do in there?" I asked Ivan who walked infront of me. We were in a line so it was easier to walk through the thick blanket of snow. Britt was in the front to break the snow, while Ivan made it eaiser for me to walk through the steadly thickning blanket of snow.
"We dump car oil all over the floors in house. Especially ones with carpet in them. Almost every room was covered in oil. We left parents room alone because it is not them who the punishment was intended for." He said over his shoulder.
"Hehehehe. Oh, they are in for a nasty surprise when they get home. I kinda feel bad for them actually. They're going to have to spend so much money to get that all cleaned up." I told him, guilt lacing my voice.
"I know. Parents should not be punished for actions of child, but think of it this way. If she does something worse and gets caught then parents can be sued. That will cost way more then repairs to house." He counter argued.
"Fair enough." I shrugged.
We walked in silence for a long time, trying no to draw attention to ourselves. The last thing we needed at the moment was for someone to hear our voices talking and poke their heads outside to see why. We don't need any witnesses. During the walk I did some thinking. Some about how Britt smiled when I asked her why she allowed Ivan to tag along. Mostly about why Ivan gave be his coat. It doesn't matter if you're all the way from Antartica you'll still get sick from being out in any freezing weather for too long. Even he knows this, and yet he is still risking it for me.
I looked up at the snow covered Russian. 'He of all people should know the dangers.' I smiled at him. 'I guess that's loyalty for ya. It's really sweet, actually.'
"Hey, Vanya." I called out to him, trying to speak above the hard winds. The winds where getting louder so we didn't have to worry about being heard any more.
"Yes Fredka?" He shouted as he glanced back at me.
"What was it that you said to Britt that made her allow you to help her out with one of her scheams? I've been trying for years to get her to at least let me tag along and she never allowed me to go." I asked him. I really wanted to know so I could use it next time Britt wanted to do something. I worry everytime she does something like this and I want to be there to make sure things go okay.
I noticed that he stiffined for a moment, then relaxed again. "Part of reason why I was allowed to help was promising not to let others know how. Sorry Fredka, but I can not tell you."
"That suckes, but whatever." I shrugged it off. That sounded like something Britt would force him to promise. Too bad. I really want to know. "Why'd you want to help her out anyways? You knew that she would have gotten revenge just fine all on her own. Why help?"
"Well, I uh-, I felt like I needed to help her. You are my best friend and I do not like seeing you in such disstress. It hurts my heart to see you so sad, especially because someone purposely made you feel like that." He studdered out nervously. "I knew you wouldn't know that I helped, but I would have. As long as at least I would have known that I helped to protect my friend it would have been enough."
I looked up at my friend with wide eyes. A grin split across my face as I jumped forward and pulled Ivan into a hug from behind. He let out a surpised yelp when I grabbed him. I laughed as I burried my face into his many sweaters. I lossened my grip when I felt him try to turn around, but never let go. I retightened my grip when he faced me. I felt his arms wrap around me to return my hug. We hugged for only a little while when I felt another set of arms go around us. Surprised I looked to see that Britt had joined making this a minnie group hug.
"I thought that you hated other people besides me touching you." I said with a smirk.
She blushed and glared at me. "Every once in a while I don't mind a hug or two. Besides, he isn't the only one who deserves a thanks. I also flooded Shikies house with car oil." She pouted. I laughed and huged her back as well. We held eachother for a long moment, just enjoying eachothers presents. "It's nearing three in the morning." Britt said as she glanced at her phone.
"Holy shit, we need to get home." I said breaking away from the hug. "Last one to Ivans place is a cooked carrot!" I shouted as I took off in a run.
I heard the others just behind me. I laughed on the inside as I picked up speed. I raced forward as fast as I could. I watched as the world fell into a black and white blur around me. My heart pounded against my rib cage. The cold winter air felt like sharp knifes in my lungs, but I embraced each stinging breath non the less. I felt a certain contentment settle over me as I continued to run. Like everything was gonna be okay as long as I continued to run.
I was so lost in the feeling of running that it took me ten minutes before I realised that I had over shot the apartments. With an embarsessed blush I turn back around and slowly jog back to apartments. The other two were waiting for me when I came back. Ivan was standing by the steps, only slightly out of breath, but smiling at my return. Britt, on the other hand, was doubled over, trying despretly to catch her breath and looking like she was about to pass out.
"Holy shit! You are fast." She panted out in between breaths. "Man, I thought that you would have kept right on going untill you reached Mexico."
"But I was heading North. I would have hit Canada long before I reached Mexico." I said with a tilt of my head.
"Exsactly. You would have gone completly around the Earth." She said as she stood up strait. "You wait here while I go throw away these buckets in one of the dumpsters." She told me as she walked around the building.
I turned to back to Ivan and stood there for a long moment before I realised that I still had his coat on. "Oh, you probably want this back, don't ya?" I said with a laugh as I started to take it off.
"Nyet. You still have some distance to go before you get home, you still need it." He tryed stoping me, but I wouldn't let him this time.
"I can't ware it home. The others will ask how I got your coat, and you'll need it for tomarrow. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine." I tried reasuring him as I handed him his coat.
"But-" He tried to argue.
"I'll be fine. It's only a half an hour walk home." I smiled at him despite the fact that the second I took off the coat I felt cold again. "I'll be fine."
"If you say so." He said as he took back his coat. "Dobroy nochi Fredka."
"Goodnight to you too Vanya." I waved at him as he walked up the steps. He waved back before heading in.
"You too are so sweet that I'm gonna throw up." Britt said from behind me. I jumped and let out a yelp. "Heheheh. Come on. Lets get home."
"One of these days, I swear to God, you are gonna give me a heart attack." I told her as I followed her into the darkness.
Half an hour latter we're sneaking back into my house. It's nearing four in the morning and th eboth of us are about to collaps. As quietly as we can we undress and put everything back to where it belongs. Everything was soaked through because of the snow storm raging outside. It was realy the only thing that worried us. If someone noticed that our things were wet then they would question us why. But we were to tired to really do anything about it and figured that we would cross that bridge when we get there.
I whent up stairs and quietly grabbed some pajamas. I sliped into our bathroom and changed out of my wet cloths into warm, dry ones. Checking to make sure that my twin was still asleep I took my big comforter off my bed and headed down stairs. I came down to find that Britt had changed out of her cloths into her own pajamas and imeadently collapsed on her pile of blankets in the middle of the floor. I smiled as I walked over to her and collapsed right next to her. My blanket fell just so that it landed evenly on both of us.
"Hey. Britt." I whispered to her.
"Hmm."
"What did Ivan say that convinced you to let him help?"
"It's wasn't about what he said, it was how and why he said it. It wasn't words that persuaded me, it was the underlying actions that helped me change my mind." She said with a yawn. "Now go to sleep Alfie."
"Okay, goodnight Britt."
"Night Alfie."
