I sighed and picked up my stuff walking to the gate, I handed my ticket over to the lady by the gates who says,

"Have a safe flight!"

I smile "Thanks"

I board the plan and look for my seat, once I find it I sit by the window and look out. I buckled my seatbelt and sighed, once we took off I gripped my arm rest tightly. I was on edge and still looking like hell, bruises and cuts, when I came back I'd be healed and hopefully this will be in the past. Once in the air and able to use phones, I put my headphones in and put on one of my favorite songs, OMG by Camila Cabello

As the song ended I fell asleep for the long flight to California. Before I knew it the guy sitting next to ,might I add he was super handsome, gently wakes me up as they tell us to buckle up and put our phones away. We were about to hand, I held the arm rest tightly. After we landed I grabbed my stuff and exited the plane, walking through the airport to get my luggage.

After that I walked out front of LAX, spotting my aunt smiling and waving me down. I walk over to her as she sees what I look like, she takes my suitcase shoving it in her trunk. I get in her car smiling, I missed Cali so much. I placed my backpack and my purse on the floor by my feet, and played with the radio as she started her car.

I found my favorite station playing Love Yourself By Justin Bieber, I instantly broke out into song nailing every line, dancing in my aunt's front seat with her as we drove to her place. As we pulled up, my aunt smiles at me saying
"Evan is dying to see you"
Evan was turning 16 today, also my aunt lives two feet from a beach, the joys of California.

Flashback to last summer

I'm standing in my room at my aunts, staring at the dress I was wearing, it was navy blue and short. My aunt got remarried last year, her neighbors son Evan was my date to the wedding. We had met when I was younger, I spent every summer hanging with him partying, with his friends. I made every girl he went to school with jealous, they all thought I was his girl. It made me laugh hard, I kept staring at myself, trying to make sure I looked perfect. After all I was my aunts maid of honor, she entered my room smiling saying,

"You look amazing!!! Let's go before we're late"

I smiled, "Okay Aunty Pey chill"

I laugh and slip my black heels on, fixing my hair one more time

"Okay I'm ready!"

My aunt smiles, "Finally!"

I laughed more as we walked downstairs, Evan was waiting at the bottom, I swear the moment he saw me, his jaw dropped. I just smiled at him, as I got to the bottom he hooked his arm with mine whispering in my ear,

"You look so gorgeous"

I blushed so much whispering back,

"Thank you, you look so handsome!"

He smiles big at me, "Thank you doll"

I smiled bigger loving his nickname for me. Once we were at the wedding, and my aunt was finally married, Evan and I danced together. He even kissed me in front of everyone there, I wished so badly I could stay in Cali, but he promised every summer we'd spend together when I was there.

End of Flashback

I got out of my aunts car as Evan was coming out to grab his mail, when he spotted me he ran over to me and scooped me up into a hug spinning me around. Then he notices what I look like, all beat up and he frowns saying,

"What happened doll?"

I sighed as my aunt took my stuff inside, I took Evans hand in mine and looked at him, he was gonna be the first I told about Sean. I took a deep breath in before I began to tell him, as I finished his face had that pissed off look that boyfriends have. No me and Evan were not dating, we just spent a lot of time together, I lived thousands of miles away. He looked at me and said,

"I'm proud of you for fighting back, and dipping out as soon as you could"

I looked at him pulling out my phone and showing him the video of Sean and Justin fighting. He looked at me,

"Over you?"

I nodded, "Yeah I believe so"

Evan thought for a moment, "I have an idea, snap of a picture of us and put it as your profile picture"

I laughed, "He's not my friend on Facebook, although he tried adding me"

Evan smiled evily,"Accept it after you post the picture."

I smiled laughing," Okay fine"

I put my arm around Evan as he kissed my cheek, a huge smile on my face, the beach in the background of us. I snap the picture and look at it, before posting it, then accepting Sean's request. I log out of facebook, I wasnt gonna be checking it for about a week.

I wanted my time with Evan, missing him even though I was with him a few weeks before school started. Evan smiles at me and says,

"Hey your coming to my big party tonight, right?"

I smile, "Of course!! I'm yours for 2 months"

He throws his arm around my shoulders smiling, "Good because doll, your the only present I've wanted for this year"
I smile,"Aww why thank you"

Evan smiles more, "Let's go for a swim"

I nod, " Sure let me go change"

Evan nods "Okay meet me on the beach in 5?"

I smiled big, "Yes"

I rushed off into my aunts smiling, running up to my room, I quickly change into my bikini and pull a tanktop over it, to hide some of  my brusies. I put some suntan lotion on and walk out to the beach, beating Evan there. As he walks down I'm snickering evily.

He looks at me pretending to be frightened, I run at him and jump on him knocking him into the sand. I laugh as I land on top of him, forgetting about Sean completely. Evan smiles at me and wraps his arms around me, I try to get up but he holds me down. After a few minutes, we get up and he says,

"Ill race you to the water"

I smile, " Your on!"

I take off running as Evan passes me splashing into the water. I laugh as I splash in to, feeling at home. Evan picks me up and pulls me out into the water with a look which meant one thing, I was gonna be thrown out into the deep part soon. I knew his look and I pretended to be mad at him. He smiled and picked me up tossing me, I screamed laughing as I hit the water. I resurface and swim back to Evan, splashing him.

He smiles and pulls me close to him, softly kissing me. The kiss that always made my knees want to give out, and my heart skipped so many beats, I thought I died again. I wrapped my arms around Evan, smiling big.

He made the bad disappear into thin air, the pain in my heart sank to the bottom of the Ocean along with, what Sean did to me. I was so happy that I came here, I knew this was gonna help me. After Evan and I swam for a bit, we got out and he put his arm around me, as we walked back up to the houses.

Evan looked at me,"Go shower and get ready, were going to Gavins for the party."

I smiled, "Okay."

We parted ways and I walked into my aunts, raced upstairs and hopped in the shower. After I showered, I blow dried my hair and curled it nicely. I walked over to my closet and shuffled through it, finding my light blue sundress that Evan loved. I pulled it on and found a pair of black wedges to go with it.

I checked myself out once more before snapping a selfie, posting it on Facebook and sending it to Kelly. Logging out I shove my cell into my purse and walk down and outside to meet Evan. He is already outside waiting, as I walk out and down my aunts steps. Evan's eyes pretty much pop out of his, I flash him a smile.

"You are stunning Lex!" he says smiling

"Stop drooling Evan" I giggle at him.

He takes my hand and we walk to Gavin's, who lives about 5 houses down. As we arrive we're greeted by Gavin, who embraces me in a big  hug, not asking about what happened to me.
