High School Diaries (Chapter 40)~The Portal? What about it!?

Laurance's POV

~A Few Months Later.

They're not coming back...

They left me here.

To rot.

I've been taking care of Marshal ever since I met her.

She's started to pronounce my name, it sounds so much like Abby when she says it.

All messed up.

I miss Phoenix Drop,

Aphmau,

Garroth,

Dante,

Jeffory,

Cadenza...

Will I ever see them again...?

My hope is gone, shattered...

There's none left.

My hope was lost after month 3.

It's been 7 months since they left.

Marshal has taken her first steps, here in the Nether.

In an isolated area.

I'm never getting out of here... Ever.

Aphmau's POV

It's been 2 months since Laurance went missing. The guilt is eating me alive, Garroth has grown depressed, Dante has become more quiet, I've started to think more with guilt tugging at my heart. Cadenza's taking it the worst out of all of us, she's becoming depressed, more distant. She's lost the sparkle in her eyes and lost the interest of clothes design. We've all tried to help her, but she denies it.

We can't help someone if we can't help ourselves. Even know everyone else has given up on getting Laurance out of the Nether, I haven't stopped. I know there's a way, even if everyone else has given up. I won't stop until he's out. Together or not, I'll get him out. That's a promise. I'll get you out Laurance, don't loose hope. Unless you already have... I ponder in my thoughts. Someone knocks on my door, the town now rebuilt.

"Who is it?" I mutter.

"Garroth." His voice is shaky and hoarse.

"Come in." I reply.

The sparkle that used to be in his eyes is now gone.

He sits down on my bed with me, "Hey." I mumble.

"Thinking about him?" Garroth guesses.

He's sort of like a psychologist when he wants to be, but with his recent downfall, it's been harder for him.

"Of course." I reply.

"You like him, don't you?" Garroth assumes.

"What? No! I just want him out of the Nether, just like I would you if you got stuck in another dimension." (A/N: *Wink*) I defend.

Garroth chuckles, "That's the Aphmau I used to know." Garroth smiles, his voice starting to have joy in it.

His tone makes me smile. He suddenly hugs me, just about crushing every bone in my body. Once we pull apart, he looks me in the eyes. He turns his head to the door, then hesitantly looks back. Before I can react, he smashing his lips against mine. I want to melt into it, so I allow myself to. Once we part, he looks at me, his eyes shimmering with the old glow.

"I missed you, Garroth." I admit.

"I did too. I'm glad we're both back to who we used to be." Garroth glances at the door.

Silence grows over the room, but we're not silent at all. Our wheels are turning rapidly. The door bursts open with Dante in the doorway. He looks like his old self. His hair is in a messy spike (Like it used to be like), his red jacket not falling off of his shoulders.

"Guys!" Dante exclaims, his eyes shimmering with excitement.

"What is it?" Garroth asks.

"The Nether portal..." Dante starts.

"What about it?" I ask.

"It's opening." Dante states.

****

A/N: Sorry for the short and confusing chapter. If the first part was confusing, it was just talking about how Laurance felt about the situation and how he's loosing hope of ever coming home to Phoenix Drop. Also, sorry for making it so dark in the beginning of Aphmau's POV... XD. For those #Garmau fans, there was a #Garmau moment :3 (I'm personally #Laurmau ). Thanks for reading!
