High School Diaries (Chapter 25)~Getting Some Help
Aphmau's POV
"Why're we going to San Francisco!?" Garroth asks as Aaron and I speed walk to our horses.
"We know people there that could help us find Laurance. You want to find him, don't you?" I reply.
"Well, yeah. I just don't see why we have to go to San Francisco, out of all places." Garroth says.
"Just follow us. We know what we're doing." Aaron commands, coldly.
"Aaron, what's wrong with you?" I whisper to him.
Aaron shrugs, then hoists himself onto his horse, "Wait, Garroth needs a horse." I state, hopping onto mine.
Garroth then chases down a guard and starts talking with him. The guard then scrambles off, coming back a few minutes later with a black stallion.
"Wow.." I mumble.
Garroth puts a saddle onto the horse, hops onto it then makes his way over to us.
"Lets go.." Aaron says, then trots off with his horse. Garroth and I follow him.
~1 Hour Later, Aphmau's POV
We finally get into San Francisco. People give us weird looks, but we ignore them. Or, at least I do. Garroth seems uncomfortable, I don't blame him. Both him and Aaron are kind of giddy at the sudden attention. We hop off of our horses, then Aaron makes them blend in with the buildings by using some kind of blending magicks that he learned from Adam a few years back. I run to Adam's door, pounding on it. As the door opens, I just about hit someone in the face (Due to my uncontrollable knocking).
"Travis." I start.
"What're you guys doing here?" Travis asks.
"TRAVIS, GET AWAY FROM THE DOOR! IT COULD BE TY!" Adam yells.
Aaron and I have a confused look on our faces, Garroth having a neutral one. Aaron and I glance at each other for a moment, then direct our attention back to Travis. Adam pushes Travis out of the way.
"What happened with Travis and Ty?" I ask.
"After you left, Ty went full out Enderlox on Travis. It was something that we don't need to go into detail about-- Who's this?" Adam's eyes trail over to Garroth.
"I'm so so sorry to ask of this, but we need you're help. Or at least Ross' and Mudkip's." I start.
"Mudkip isn't here, but Ross is... ROSS!" Adam calls out.
Ross runs down the stairs, engulfing Aaron and I in a hug. Ross and Garroth awkwardly shake hands, introducing themselves during it. Ross then scrambles over to Adam's side.
"What do you need help with?" Adam asks.
"Well, Garroth, I think that's for you to explain." I say, glancing at Garroth then back at Adam.
Garroth takes a shaky breath then starts explaining, "We have a friend named Laurance. Him and I went to O'khasis due to a negotiation with the rebuilding of Phoenix Drop and it so happened that Tu'la was invading while we were there. Since I'm the... Heir to Lordship there," Garroth's voice becomes quiet as he says 'Heir to Lordship there' but we can still hear him. Adam and Ross' eyes widen slightly, "O'khasian guards took me away, while Tu'lan guards took Laurance away. We don't know where he is, but we think that he's being held captive in a Tu'lan ship. We're thinking that he could be in the Pacific Ocean. Laurance, being Laurance, probably is plotting a way to get out of there. He should be able to get out on his own, but since he's on a Tu'lan boat, it's highly unlikely that he could get out on his own." Garroth explains.
"We'll help." Adam and Ross say in sync.
"You guys are a problematic bunch, but is there anyone else set to help?" Adam offers.
"I don't know. We mostly just need people with aquatic magicks." Aaron adds.
"You're right." Adam seems deep into thought.
"I'll go." Ross offers.
"Are you sure, Ross?" I ask. Ross nods.
Travis walks up to me, "I'll come." Travis smirks.
I hug Travis. Once we release, Garroth and Travis do their 'bro' or 'guy' hug. Aaron and Travis nod at each other, then Travis looks at Adam.
"Can I go?" Travis pleads.
Adam thinks about it for a second, "Sure." Adam smiles.
"YES!" Travis exclaims, happily.
"Mudkip won't be able to come, but you have Travis and Ross. I won't be able to go because I have to do some things, but I'll help in anyway I can." Adam says.
"It's fine, and thank you." I thank. Adam smiles.
"Do you want us to go today or tomorrow?" Ross asks.
"Today would be great. Like Garroth said, Laurance is probably thinking of ways to get off of that ship. Besides, Tu'la soldiers spare no mercy, and they could have him dead like that." Aaron answers, snapping his fingers at the end.
"You're right..." Travis ponders.
Travis and Ross go into Adam's house real quickly, most likely getting a couple belongings. Once they come out, I give Adam a goodbye hug.
Aaron does the same, "Thank you." Garroth thanks.
"Don't mention it." Adam smiles, "Good luck." Adam wishes.
"Thanks." I reply, then Adam closes the door with a smile plastered on his face.
"Lets go.." Travis says.
"Lets.." Aaron mumbles. Then, we're off.
