Attack
~Keiji POV~
Soon after having my sundae at the bar, I started riding home as the sun was starting to set.
I decided to visit Lala, just to ease my stress.
As I rode over to the hospital, I felt my phone buzzing and I wondered who it was, so I pulled over and looked at my phone, and I saw it was Hyuga.
I picked up to see what he wanted.
Keiji: Yeah.
Hyuga: Harada! I got your message. Is your wife and kid doing okay?
Keiji: Lala's in a coma right now and our kid's in the incubator. A matter of fact, I'm riding over to the hospital now.
Hyuga: Good timing.
Keiji: Yeah, it was.
Hyuga: Mind if I stop by? I wanna catch up with ya.
Keiji: If you want, I'll send you the address of the hospital.
Hyuga: Sure thing. I'll be right over.
Keiji: See you then, man.
Hyuga: See you soon.
I hung up and kept riding to the hospital with an eager smile. I haven't seen Hyuga in over two years, but we kept in touch after the collapse of Kuryu and my wedding with Lala.
We never had the time to hang and just have a conversation about anything, so this is good timing all around.
When I finally arrived at the hospital, I went to the front desk about seeing my wife. I really wanted to. Seriously, I was gonna visit her until she wakes up from that coma.
The sun was still setting, so I looked to ask about the visiting hours.
Keiji: Excuse me, are the visiting hours still open?
Receptionist: They sure are. Your name?
Keiji: Keiji Harada, my wife's in a coma here at the hospital.
Receptionist: Oh! I'm so sorry. Let me get you a visitor's pass.
Keiji: Thank you.
?????: Harada!
I looked back and it was Hyuga, grinning as I turned around to the receptionist.
Keiji: Make that two, will ya please?
Receptionist: Name?
Keiji: Norihisa Hyuga.
Receptionist: Alright then.
I then turned back to Hyuga as I was very happy to see him, also surprised that he came alone.
Keiji: Hey, Hyuga.
Hyuga: How you doin'?
We bro hugged as it was great to be around him again.
Keiji: Just happy to see you here.
Hyuga: I got your message about Lala and the baby. I was really worried.
Keiji: Thanks. Wanna come with me to visit her?
Hyuga: I'd do anything for ya.
I gave him a pass as I took mine and we started walking toward's Lala's room, where she was sleeping.
Hyuga: How's the club, despite all this?
Keiji: We're doing pretty good. About 25 members now, just looking after Oya district for any trouble. What about your gang?
Hyuga: Hanging in there. Sakyo said "hey" and wish he could be here, but he said you'll understand.
Keiji: That's true. I mean, maybe I'll come by sometime and show off our kid once he gets to 100 percent.
Hyuga: It's a boy?
Keiji: Right, but he's in the incubator as we speak.
Hyuga: Thinking about making him your heir to the throne?
Keiji: Not really. I don't want him to grow up and be like me. I just want him to be educated and stay away from the life I've chosen.
Hyuga: It's very honorable. You see, Sandman, this is why I like you: you're very wise about your choices and how you want everyone to succeed, but keep in mind that not everything can go the way you want it to be.
Keiji: I know that's why I'm one step ahead. In case my boy does end up being like me, I'm gonna reprimand everything that he's done, teaching him a lesson about how choices in life affect your future. Well, we're finally here.
He looked in and looked sad seeing Lala like this.
Hyuga: I knew how much Lala meant to you, but seeing her like this is just heartbreaking.
Keiji: Yeah, no kidding. I really wish I found out about the drugs she was taking.
Hyuga: Drugs?
Keiji: Let's sit down.
We sat down in the chairs next to Lala's bed as we had to get down to business.
Keiji: You familiar with Redrum, right?
Hyuga: Yeah.
Keiji: What if I told you that it's back on the street, but only in this district?
Hyuga: Is that so? That's why Lala and your baby are here?
Keiji: That's right. Murayama and I have been discussing this for some time, trying to get to the bottom of it. See, he found a guy dealing it with some construction workers at his new job. He reported it to me and a couple of other friends, the Oochi Brothers, discovered it was one of their childhood friends, Arata. I'm telling you, Hyuga, this thing is affecting the neighborhood, including me. You can just tell.
Hyuga: Keiji, based on what you're telling me, I don't need any more proof because Lala being like this in front of me is just enough.
Keiji: What?
Hyuga: With that said, I'm offering you my services. If you ever need support, I'm willing to lend you a group of my guys for whatever you got in mind. We've known each other for years now and it makes sense for me to help you. You helped me by opening my eyes about that flash drive, and I'm willing to do the same for you.
Keiji: I appreciate it so much, Hyuga. I really do. I really hope we get to the bottom of this soon for whoever Arata is working for.
Hyuga: You have a picture of him?
Keiji: Sure do.
I took out a pic and showed it to Hyuga, who laughed at first, until he realized that it was not the best time.
Hyuga: This is him?
Keiji: That's right. I'm hoping to find the son of a bitch and make him pay.
Hyuga: I'm with you, Sandman. I really am. I want him to pay too. I think I should head out, back to the compound.
Keiji: Alright. Before you go, let me give you the card to my shop.
Hyuga: Wait, you have a shop?
Keiji: It's an Auto based. Let me give my card real quick.
I reached for my wallet and I managed to pull out a card for my shop. I only had one, but it worked out great as I gave it to Hyuga, who seemed interested.
Hyuga: It's in Oya? "Harada & Co"?
Keiji: That's right. I'm open to everyone, including some gangs I worked with before.
Hyuga: I'll tell the guys, see if they're interested.
Keiji: Sounds good, man. It's great to see you.
Hyuga: Same here.
We bro hugged as we smirked and he walked out while I stayed back to be with Lala, but I saw that someone was calling me, so I picked up.
Keiji: Takeshi?
Takeshi: Keiji, as much as I hate to say it, we won't take part in fighting.
Keiji: What?
Takeshi: Lala means as much to me as she means to you, but this is a risk we can't take. We got enough trouble going around in Nameless City right now, and we can't extend our services. I'm sorry. I hope you understand.
He hung up as I was really pissed that they were not willing to help us.
I mean, this is my wife I'm talking about, who happens to be a Rude in her own right. She left for me and I don't know if their brain is the equivalent of a hot pocket spinning in a microwave for making that decision.
It was only a few more minutes before I decided to leave, but not without a goodbye kiss to my wife.
Keiji: I'll come visit you again. I promise. I love you, Lala.
I have a kiss on her cheek and walked out as I turned in my visitor's pass.
I walked over to my bike, started riding back to the shop. I know that my friends would want me to be there, so I'm riding back.
However, in the corner of my eye, I saw something going on.
There were a dozen of guys fighting each other, and then I realized who it was: Housen and Oya High?!
What the fuck are they doing!
I started riding over there and when I got close, they saw me as I got off my bike to stop the fight.
Keiji: I just visited my wife and now this?!
One came at me and I took it down with a kick before I punched another one, speared another and took one down a hurricarana and threw the one I gave the hurricarana to into another guy.
The one in the blue baseball bat tried to attack me with a pipe, but I immediately caught it, punched him and held him down before I ripped the hat off along with the bandanna.
It was the same guy from earlier!
Keiji: You again!
Then, I felt a pain onto my head and they were beating me to where I couldn't fight back, until I saw the Housen Guy's friends ran up to stop them!
Once they got close, all Minami's friends and him ran away!
I was holding onto my head as it seemed like one of the Housen members looked like they wanted to attack me.
Housen 1: You alright there?
Keiji: I'll be fine, thanks.
Housen 1: Good, because I'm gonna hurt you!
Jinkawa: No. I seem to have an idea of what happened. Help him up.
I then saw that one of their friends, turned out to be Sawamura, one of the leaders of Housen had been busted open and his skull was cracked, blood everywhere.
I was helped up and I was really concerned about what happened to him.
Jinkawa: Sandman, is it?
Keiji: Yeah. Believe me when I say that those guys you saw weren't Oya High.
Jinkawa: How do you know?
Keiji: One of them had red hair and he looked like he was on something. I'm telling you, they're not Oya High because they prohibit drugs and they don't dress like them. Sure, they got some blue clothing, but they've been doing it less for some time now.
Sabakan: Are you sure that it's not Oya High?
Keiji: I'm sure. Plus, I've known Murayama since forever, and I know he wouldn't pull something like this.
Jinkawa: Then who are they?
Keiji: I don't know, but I know for a fact that there's a guy we gotta keep an out for. The guy's dead from what I know.
Then, I was given a call from one of the brothers and it turned out to be Masaya.
I picked up and had to know what was going on.
Keiji: Yeah.
Masaya: Keiji, there's a couple things you need to know.
Keiji: Go ahead.
I crouched down as I patted Sawamura's back as an ambulance was coming up to us.
Masaya: Turns out that the drugs are being spread out by The Kanehira Brothers, who happen to lead a gang named Kidra, but that's not all. We don't know if Arata is one of them, but we'll keep you informed.
Keiji: Alright. Thanks for the update.
We hung up as I had to relay the message.
Keiji: Turns out that there's a gang around here named Kidra as a duo of brothers called the Kanehira Brothers dealing the Redrum.
Jinkawa: How do you know all this?
Keiji: I got friends, and they keep me informed on some things.
Sabakan: Well, you know your stuff.
Keiji: If you guys want, I'll exchange numbers with you.
Jinkawa: It's a good idea.
I gave them my number and they gave me one of theirs, that way we'll keep each other in touch.
Keiji: When he wakes up, let me know.
Jinkawa: We definitely will.
Keiji: I'll see you guys later.
We all nodded as I went back to my bike and started riding back to the shop, in a few days, it was going to be a very big mistake on behalf of Oya High.
