Chapter 16
L E V I ' S P O V
"Trinity!" I called as Ophelia and I entered the house.
Ophelia was about to intervene when suddenly, Trinity came running in, her blonde hair swishing behind her with her moments.
"Yes, sir?" She linked her fingers together respectfully in front of her.
Ophelia paused behind me as she went behind my back shyly.
"I got a little cut at work," I started off as I looked at my finger. I looked up at her to see her reaction but she just patiently waited for me to continue. "Bring the first aid kit please." I ordered.
"Y-Yes sir." She bowed her head slightly and scurried off.
I looked back at Ophelia and she looked up at me, "I told you she couldn't find-" She was cut off by Trinity returning back in the room with the kit that she supposedly couldn't find.
"I see you found it." I said as I gently grabbed Ophelia's arm and pulled her from behind me much to her dismay.
She didn't even glance at Ophelia as she spoke, "Excuse me, sir? I know that you like things organised so I always kept it the same place; in the cabinet." She informed me.
"Ah, well isn't that thoughtful of you." I chuckled darkly.
"Let me clean that for you, sir." She seemed more than happy enough to do it as she walked forward. "Oh and Ophelia, Kace called for you, you should probably call him back." It almost seemed as if Trinity was sending Ophelia a message with her eyes.
"Oh um, sure." Ophelia whispered just as Trinity stood right in my personal space with a large smile on her face.
I pulled Ophelia back to my side just as she made a small step.
Trinity's smile faltered a little as she watched my movement.
Staring her directly in her eye, I stuck out one finger in front of her to check.
She gently touched it and inspected it with her eyebrows scrunched up, "Is this the right finger, sir?" She asked just as Ophelia watched she exchange shyly.
Looking back at my finger, "Oh, it isn't." I smiled. "In fact," I looked at Ophelia. "I guess I got a little mixed up." I grabbed Ophelia's finger and put it out for her to take with a hard look on my face, my smile instantly disappearing.
Trinity swallowed visibly and looked at it before cleaning up her finger much to Ophelia's nervous disapproval that she could do it herself.
Trinity hurriedly cleaned it before gathering everything and rushing off with her head down.
"Trinity," I called out and she froze.
She spun around on her heel and stared at me, "Y-Yes, s-sir." She stuttered.
"Don't let it happen again." I said.
She nodded intensely before practically running out of the room.
I'll be keeping a close eye on her.
I looked at the space where she stood when Ophelia slowly stood in front of me and looked up, "Well that wasn't very n-nice." She murmured as she wiped off a piece of lint from my suit.
I grabbed onto her hand before she moved it and slowly placed a small kiss on her knuckles. She watched the action with her mouth slightly agape before she pulled it away and furiously blushed.
"You should probably go and call Kace." I said.
Nodding gently, she looked down as she tugged down her work dress before turning and walking out of the room.

I made it to my room and gently shut the door. Just as I picked up the phone, I'm roughly pinned to the wall.
I slightly looked down to see Trinity's rage filled eyes, a complete contrast from what I was used to.
Although she was shorter than me and I had the ability to move, she kept blocking my way from leaving.
Not to mention how hard the impact of the wall against my back hurt.
"Here's the deal, you stay away from Levi!" She spat in my face. "What? You think you can just come here and steal him from me? You can stop with this little innocent act that you keep putting up." She seethed.
"W-What a—" She stomped her feet loudly. "I didn't give you permission to speak. Now, you're gonna pack your shit and leave because you've overstayed your welcome here at my man's house." She snapped.
I had dazed off from listening to her as I watched the silhouette come closer.
"Um, m-maybe y—" I began but she continued.
"How a-about you—" She cut me off again as she glared at me, making my mouth snap shut.
My eyes widened in fear and Trinity followed my line of vision and completely jumped when she saw Levi not even half a foot away from her with a dark look in his eyes.
"Care to repeat that?" He lowly said she cowered back into me.
"O-Oh, s-sir. I-It's not what y-you think." She came up with as her voice went back to soft and sweet.
"Oh really? Because it looked like you were just threatening to make her life a living hell." He said.
"What?" She chuckled nervously. "T-Tell him, Ophelia. Tell h-him it was a joke." She pleaded as she looked at me, warning me to lie.
My throat seemed dry as I thought of which one to go with.
The truth or a lie.
But I hate lying.
And I'm horrible at it.
Levi doesn't seem like the type to give second chances, or even first for that matter and yet he gave Trinity.
One more screw up and she would be gone.
And she just wasted that screw up.
I didn't want to be the one that made Trinity lose her job and even thought about telling a small white lie but the hard and scary look that Trinity gave me didn't compare to the fury in Levi's eyes, stopping any lies from exiting my mouth.
I decided that I would tell the truth which was, I didn't know.
How was I sure that if Levi hadn't entered, Trinity would laugh it off and say that she's kidding?
Or how would I even be sure that it wasn't a joke.
"I-I don't know." I mumbled.
It clearly wasn't the answer that either of them wanted, but it was the truth.
Trinity wanted me to say yes, yet Levi wanted me to say no and I just couldn't please everyone.
However, it seemed that Levi didn't even care if I had flat out and said that it was a joke because what he said next, made my heart drop.
"You're fired."
Trinity stood there with her mouth agape once again and I expected her to break down, or even beg for her job back.
But what I didn't expect was for her eyes to flare in anger and a nasty expression to overtake her beautiful features.
"What?! You can't fire me! I've been here for three years! And for what? Her?!" She shouted as she jabbed her thumb in my direction.
I shrunk back into the wall as her loud voice filled the entire room.
I could tell by the sudden outburst that Levi was astonished as well but not for long.
His eyes turned 10 times darker and if I thought Trinity's expression was bad, I'd have to rethink that thought with the look on Levi's face right now.
"How dare you raise your voice at me in my own house, under my own damn roof?" He seethes. "Now get out of here, your check will be emailed to you and you can bet your ass that you won't ever work in this country again. Not even as a fucking garbage collector." He pointed to the door.
"B-But—" She started to plead but he cut her off with a raise of his hand.
"I'm growing impatient. Now." He said. "You have fifteen minutes to grab your shit."
Like a broken pipe, tears were already down her face and she looked between the two of us before she ran out with salty tears on her cheek.
Levi's eyes followed her, his breathing still slightly shallow from his anger.
"D-Did you h-have to fire her?" My mouth opened before I, myself, could even process it.
His eyes snapped to mine and I shrunk further in the wall because of his penetrating gaze.
"Yes, Ophelia, I did. If you had just told me about all the marks and shit that she had been doing to you, then all of this wouldn't even have to happen. Couldn't you just see that she was doing it on purpose?" He raised his voice.
"I-I..." My gaze faltered to the floor. I felt like crying.
I hated when anyone yelled at me.
I squeezed my eyes shut to stop the tears that were caused by my stupidity.
"I'm sorry." I whispered before scurrying out of the room with the same speed as Trinity, hearing him calling after me as I left.
