Good Day to You

Roses POV
I stared at my ceiling as Ethan's words rang in my head. I wanted to get his voice out of my head, but it was like his face was imprinted in my brain now.

I groaned as I put my pillow on my head. Suddenly, I heard my door click open. I peeked out of my pillow to see a tall figure crouching in my room.

"What do you want?" I said, putting the pillow on my head again.

"Rose," Slenderman said, coming closer. "We need to talk. I have a feeling that you're hiding something."

I stood up from my bed and stared at him. His white face stared blankly at me as annoyance filled my head. Why can't he just leave me alone for once?

"I'm not hiding anything. After all, what would I be hiding? A body?" I lied.

"Rose did you save someone from the other day? You've been acting strangely yesterday. You didn't even eat dinner."

I rolled my eyes.

"Like hell. I just wasn't hungry last night, okay? Also, I didn't save anybody. You've been saying 'no mercy' to me ever since I was little."

He tilted his head in uncertainty as I stared at the wall.

I wasn't nervous taking to Slenderman, for he was the kindest out of all of the creepypastas. He was like a father figure to me too, so of course he treats me like a 'princess.'

"Are you sure? You do know if I find out if your lying or not, you're in big trouble?"

"You're wasting your time talking to me. Go away, now that you have your answers." I groaned.

I stood up from my bed and pushed him out of the tiny doorway. I was sure if he was a regular dad he would've screamed the hell out of me.

But because he was monster, he instead probably had thoughts of finally asking Jeff to murder me.

I closed the door as I locked it shut. I knew Slender would be annoyed with me, but I wasn't afraid.

After all, I was a creepypasta like him.

*The next day*

It was now morning, and I couldn't get to see Ethan because BEN had taken me off to a stealing raid in the empty mall in the town we raided the other night. I was kind of glad about this, for I could get Ethan some clothes to survive in the cold forest.

We were out for only a couple of hours, and I can back with only a couple of things.

I had stolen a male black leather jacket, some jeans, and a striped white and navy t-shirt. Basic clothes that scream white fuckboy. Despite this it's still clothing that Ethan better fit into.

Currently, BEN and I were walking home. He was staring strangely at the bag of clothes I had gotten from the store. His eyes read, "Are you a guy?"

"You do know you're a girl?" BEN pointed out, raising an eyebrow, "Like you got boobs and a ass?"

I cringed at his comment and scoffed. I hated when the males pointed out features like that. Especially when perverts like BEN said those kinds of things.

"I'm not stupid. I just got these clothes so that I have a disguise for something."

"But you could just instantly kill someone. Why go through the trouble of getting all dressed up?" he noted, "Unless you just want to play dress up yourself, that's understandable."

I glared at him. "Don't tell me how to live my life!" I snapped, "Just shut up already, you Link wannabe."

We ran home and as usual I got home first. I outran BEN because I didn't want to deal with the dumb shit he talks about with me.

I've come home later than I thought I would arrive. It was nighttime now, and I took the chance of the dark to sneak in some clothes to Ethan. I knew BEN wouldn't see me with all of my dark clothing on so I didn't worry about him. Also, he couldn't see in the dark anyway.

I climbed a tree and began jumping from branch to branch until I reached the ditch.

I could hear BEN's footsteps under me, and I don't think he noticed a girl jumping from tree to tree above him at all.

After all, he was ignorant.

I finally reached where Ethan was, and I silently stared at him as he leaned onto a tree and played with a stick.

He looked pathetic and bored, with nothing to do but to stare off into space and wonder around the very small and deep ditch. I felt no pity, because frankly it was funny to me.

I was also really surprised he was even in the ditch. I expected to see him gone or dead. But now that I know he's still alive...I would have to face him again after the incident the other day.

I collected all of the coldness in my mind and focused on not letting any other emotions take over. I took a deep breath before jumping down inches away from him.

My feet landed with a soft thud as Ethan looked up at me with a stiff frown. Bitterness grew in his eyes as he dropped the stick.

"Why are you here again?" he growled, "I thought you didn't care for me."

I rolled my eyes and tried to put on a annoyed face. "Whatever. Just take these, and stop being a whiny bitch."

I threw him a piece of rabbit meat and the clothing I had stolen. He caught it easily like he had done it a million times. Impressive for a miserable guy like him.

"Why did you stay here? You had every chance to run away while I was gone." I asked, tilting my head in curiosity.

"I did run away," he started, "But I came back. I couldn't bear seeing the ghostly corpses of the people that I love."

I nodded and looked down at the ground. I felt no pity for the stranger in front of me, but I did know how he felt.

Loneliness, emptiness, worthlessness.

I shuddered at the thought of my childhood... Cold rain, no warmth, no one to help me or take care of me...

Suddenly, drops of water quickly interrupted my thoughts. A harsh wind then blew over the three of us, almost knocking us over our feet.

I gasped and regained my footing. My hand instinctively pulled my mask over my face as my hood slowly began to go soggy.

I looked over at Ethan as he looked up at the sky, his hair soaked at the roots.

"Stupid mother-nature..." I muttered. I quickly stepped over to Ethan and grabbed his wrist.

He flinched as he tried shaking me off of him. However, my grip was as strong as steel. I had to grab onto him so that he would be forced to follow me.

I started running under the rain into the direction of a nearby cave I knew of. I didn't want Ethan to get hypothermia and die quickly.

Ethan luckily ran along with me, and I could tell he knew that I was leading him to safety.

We both ran for what felt like an hour before I saw the hollow opening of stone against the cliff in front of me. Relief washed over me as we finally entered under the dry hood of the cave.

I let go of his hands as I caught my breath. Water dropped off of me as Ethan leaned against the wall, shaking his head.

We stayed silent for a while before he spoke.

"How did you know this cave was here?" he panted.

"Well I live in this forest dumbass. And thank me for saving your butt from the cold rain."

He glared at me as I finally caught my breath. I stood up straight glanced at the clothes and food I had given him.

"Stay here for now, camouflage the opening of the cave and don't make any fires. Don't wander out too." I ordered sternly, "I'll be back when I can...just...don't make any dumb moves, okay? There are bears here that'll rip you to shreds if they see you."

Oh for gods sake I sounded like a strict mom... I wouldn't blame him if he broke any of the 'rules' I had given him.

Ethan looked at me weirdly before I turned around to the opening of the cave. I had to go soon so that the creepypasta's wouldn't be suspicious of where I was.

"See you later," I said, "Doubled-Eyed."

And with that I left.
